View from property and room is great! Breakfast was very good with excellent service staff. Beds are comfortable. We had a balcony which was very nice to sit and relax. Check-in and out was fast and friendly.

The views from the property are great, however this property is not in town or reasonably walkable for many due to the steep hill. The shuttle comes/goes every hour from town and the property. The van can fill quickly, but the driver always made a return trip to pick those up who didn’t make the first load. If you are looking for something that is quickly accessible to places to eat or train, choose something in town. If you don’t mind the slight inconvenience of waiting for a shuttle van in order to enjoy the peacefulness and beautiful views this is your place.

We spent 4 days at this venue and loved the location set high above Monterosa with a magnificent view of the mountains and the sea. The shuttle to and from the hotel every hour was unexpected and excellent, and it was lovely after a long day of exploring to get out of the towns and have some peace and quiet while admiring the view, The rooms were very well appointed. The breakfast was both English and Continental and we were spoilt for choice.

We stayed 4 night and had to ask for clean towels on our 4th day. As the weather was cool and there were no heated towel rails it would have been nice to have the bath towels changed more regularly.

Beautiful views (& the fact you could see the hotel from whichever village you visited in the Cinque Terre!). Immaculate rooms. Very good breakfasts. Very helpful & friendly staff.

Although it wasn’t far from the town centre it wasn’t really walkable as the road was so narrow, steep & winding - the hotel provides an excellent regular & reliable shuttle service on the hour but it does mean you have to factor in timings for every outing & that was occasionally inconvenient. However, the position of the hotel is so spectacular that it is a small price to pay!

Overall a wonderful hotel which I would definitely recommend. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The view from the location is superb. The rooms have also had a renovation since the photographs on Booking.com - so they are even nicer than we expected. Also a really nice buffet breakfast and great to have free car parking on site.

The only slightly annoying thing is the frequency of the shuttle bus. It's only a minor point though, because they do come promptly and reliably as per the hotels timetable, so no fault there. I would just make a small request to have it come more frequently. It only comes once per hour and has only 8 seats. If you are getting a shuttle at peak times e.g. for dinner, then you have to get there at least 20 minutes before it arrives to queue up and get a spot, otherwise you then have to wait an extra 20 minutes or so for it to do multiple trips before everyone fits.

The location is ideal, perched above the Ligurian coast, the views are wonderful and it is very quiet. It is up a steep and winding road, but a free shuttle bus, just about hourly, is very efficient both ways into and from town that makes repeat journeys if necessary. Buffet breakfast is amongst the best I’ve had and the staff are brilliant. Special mention to the lady on duty each night who made our nightly cups of tea when we got back, she was really friendly and immensely helpful, but all the staff we encountered were excellent.

The only minor problem, given the location, was lack of tea making facilities in room. It is available on request but we didn’t want to put staff to an inconvenience. As I say, only a minor issue.

The hotel is on top of a mountain in Monterosso al Mare. The views from our hotel room were amazing. Breakfast was great. They had a huge selection. They also have a shuttle service to take you to the hotel from town and to town from the hotel.

The showers were kind of small although not uncommon for Europe. The drive to the hotel was terrifying. The hotel is at the top of a steep, winding road with room enough for only 1 car. If another call is coming the other direction, someone has to back up. You may have to back up quite a while to find a safe spot so one car can pass. It happened to us where we had to backup. Next time, we will take a train.

Location stunning up a mountain with views over the whole of the cinque terre- we like walking it if you don’t - do not choose this hotel- the town is a very steep walk up and down but there is a free shuttle every hour but if you don’t want to walk you have to wait for the shuttle but that’s no harsh up when you’re in holiday. The breakfast was varied and filling and sorted us for the days walking and exploring. The place was sooo clean !

We would have liked to be on the top floor but our floor the first still gave us views to die for but you could hear people above walking around as there are no carpets in the floor.

The views are incredible! You can see the other 4 villages of Cinque Terra from your balcony. There is a lovely outside area with lush plants and flowers. The breakfast was delicious and they serve good coffee. The beds were comfortable and the hotel is tastefully decorated.

We would have liked to have been informed about the shuttle bus that goes from the beach to the hotel before we arrived. The walk up the steep hill with our case was intense and we spoke to other guests who had also not been told about the shuttle bus.

The reception staff were a little unnecessarily sharp” with their responses on some occasions . The manager did not offer apologies . however There was also a kind lady on reception who helped resolve our “insect net” issue with a smile . Also the property arranged a shuttle service to the village which in the main worked well but there is a need for more control over queueing as many guests would simply jump the queue and have no regard to others waiting . I noticed this led to a lot of disgruntled guests and left an atmosphere in such a small hotel .

The hotel is located somewhat outside of the busy village at about 120 m above sea level. Needless to say that going down to and particularly getting up to the hotel from Monterosso was some good sport. Luckily enough they have a very efficient shuttle service that runs up and down at least once every hour. The view from the balcony is breath-taking: you oversee the 5 villages of the cinque terre. The people at the reception couldn't have been more helpful

The orange juice on the breakfast buffet was not up to standards: way too diluted according to my taste. Otherwise the breakfast buffet was rich and well organised. On windy days the lack of airtight doors leads to a whistling sound which can be disturbing during nights. In general, the sound isolation could be better but is probably due to the time of construction of the hotel. These are however minor points in an overall very positive appreciation.
