The accommodation is located in the old part of the city in the Sasi region with a beautiful view of the city and the caves. The staff is very friendly. The room is nicely furnished (ours was in two floors (bed in upper floor) with a small terrace overlooking the city); thanks for the upgrade, Eleonora. Everything clean and nicely arranged. There is a tea kettle and a fridge in the room. The bathroom is equipped with all the accessories you need for care. Breakfast is varied with an offer of sweet and savory dishes, fruit and cereals. The nearest parking garage is a 2-minute walk from the accommodation.

Oh my goodness, the view, location, and bathtub. I absolutely loved this place. It was difficult to sleep because I wanted to keep my eyes open to take in the view. This place has hidden castle vibes with secret doors behind a painting leading to the theater room. It was just awesome. The location was also perfect for a quiet night with the main city a few sets away and parking a few minutes from the door.

You must close the shades in the day time because the sun comes right in and the AC can’t save you but the view is worth the sweat and they have a cool common lounge.

Beautiful Cave suite. Although -1 level, there are also still doors opening to the patio and sufficient day light. Good atmosphere, everything you need and wish for. The entire house is decorated beautifully and has pleasant roof terrace and comfortable shared spaces. Location right In the middle of the two Sassa’s. Eleonora made our self check-in very easy since it was a bit later, but is always available and on site every day. She is very kind and helpful.

If anything, the beds and pillows are a bit hard to my liking.

The roof suite is amazing, you won't get enough of the view. The bed and bath tub are in an elevated position, so you can see all of the Sasso Caveoso from bed or while taking a bath.

If you are over, say, 1.70m, you won't be able to stand up in the bath tub. Having said that, if you instead use the bath tub to take a bath, you can enjoy an incredible view.

Amazing view of the sassi from casa lounge balcony, room amenities (slippers, high end shampoo, hand soap and shower gel, firm bed, white and fluffy towels and linens, artfully designed wall frescoes, and most of all Eleonora - friendly, provided clear communication with loads of information. Lots of books to browse, elegant common rooms, quiet and peaceful, walkable to every point of interest.

Perfect place...nothing to add/change.

WOW the view from the private suite was just incredible. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Matera- it is definitely worth it. Sunrise from the bedroom was just incredible. The room has a lovely bath and its clean and has everything you need. Breakfast was very good and the host was lovely. Location was fantastic- it's a great option for accommodation in Matera. The host recommended a paid parking lot 2mins walk away or free parking spaced 10mins walk away

The a.c was quite noisy otherwise everything was perfect

Casa Diva exceeded our expectations. It was located just at the edge of the Sassi and close to the major piazzas in Matera. That made it easy to explore all the history of that wonderful city. The staff, especially the manager, could not have been more accommodating! The breakfast was wonderful and the views of the Sassi at night were spectacular. I highly recommend Casa Diva for anyone staying in Matera.

Unfortunately we could only get one extra pillow. My husband had to roll his up to sleep,.

Excellent location, amazing breakfast and wonderful staff.

We stayed in the cave suite, Grape Room, which would have been ok for 1 night experience. Beautiful room, shower and jacuzzi but It was very damp and dark. We turned on the heat for the 3 nights we were there. if you like a lot of natural light, best to stay above ground.

The service we received from Eleonora at Casa Diva was faultless. She was very helpful and provided us with lots of information about Matera (where to park, eat, what to see etc.). As for the property…..Simply stunning! The reception and dining rooms are beautifully decorated. When we entered our cave (the uva suite) it was beyond amazing. Imagine Fred Flintstone won the lottery. Carved out of the rock, the huge room has high ceilings, tasteful decor, two comfortable double beds (in separate areas), and fabulous clean and modern bathroom. There’s even a mini ‘en-suite’ cave with a Jucuzzi bath. Another door leads to a large characterful terrace (shared with one other suite). The town of Matera should be on every bucket list, and is as friendly as it is unique. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend a stay at Casa Diva.

I wouldn’t change a thing….it’s perfect!

Excellent staff! La signora Eleonora and all her staff were amazing and caring to all our needs. Rooms are beautiful and extremely detailed. I stayed in L'Artista room with one of the most amazing views of I "sassi"! A must if you decide to visit Matera. Grazie mille gentile signora Eleonora!
