Lovely property - very comfortable, great style and sense of history, fabulous breakfast - one of the best we have had, and above all great staff, in particular Andre on the front desk who could not have been more professional, helpful, kind and generous - he made our stay extra special and is a real asset to the hotel. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer - very highly recommended! Moderna is a delightful city to visit and this is the place to stay - just a short walk to everything you might want to enjoy.

The hotel is in a great location at the south end of the city center. It is beautifully decorated and appointed. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Eager to help in any way. Our room was a very spacious and comfortable suite. Plenty of closet space.Bathroom was nice. We had a sitting room with a good desk. Nespresso machine was a very welcome amenity. We appreciated it. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Nothing you could want after that. We were there to go to Osteria Francescana. It is a block away from this hotel. But we enjoyed the market, the Palazzo Duvall, churches and Ferrari museum. We also ate at Francescetta. The best little burger and tortellini with Parmesan sauce anyone can have anywhere. Period. It’s a bit remote but would return to experience it again.

From the minute we walked in we were welcomed like family . I can’t say enough about Andrea - he was friendly , helpful went above and beyond . I travel extensively for work and have never had this level of welcoming at a hotel. Andrea helped with all tours , drivers and was always there to greet us with a smile .Room was big and comfortable . Breakfast was delicious with many options . The bar was perfect for appertivo and snacks . Modena was lovely and will definitely be back .

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. They helped us get our car parked, made lunch reservations and walked us part way to our dinner location. The apertivo and breakfast were also great. After staying in houses/apartments for most of our trip, we greatly appreciated the luxuries of a nice hotel - the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and a big shower!

The location is great. Staff were very friendly and super helpful with bookings and directions. Room was very clean - nice bathroom.

Only negative and maybe it's personal taste but for an old building it had very little charm - modern decor, very bland, felt like a corporate hotel yet could be so much more charming. It looks like it's been stripped off all the old characteristics and the current furnishings & decor are very out of place.

spacious rooms, comfortable bed, very good breakfast buffet and most of all fantastic service. perfect location to visit the historic centre, the famous food market and local restaurants.

using the very nice jetted shower resulted in wet bathroom floor - shower door needs better seal. had also read (possibly on the booking.com description?) there was a hot tub in the spa/wellness area but we could only find a sauna/steam room plus small gym; those facilities seemed nice, had just hoped to soak in a hot tub.

Lovely, friendly and available staff, from front desk to restaurant and room staff. Quality room, bar and restaurant amenities. Great location. Super breakfast buffet and service.

I would prefer a shower in the bathroom. Gym, sauna area needs shower facilities.

From the moment we walked in, Andrea engaged with us, checking all was ok and even giving me a route to run. His big smile and friendly demeanor was lovely to see. His knowledge of the area and the hotel’s history was incredible . The rooms are beautiful , spacious and well equipped . The shower is seriously the best I’ve ever experienced ! Breakfast was good and most importantly the coffee was excellent ! The only areas that I found lacking were the lack of USB ports to charge devices and the fact that there was no coffee machine or kettle in the room .

Had great difficulty driving to the hotel from Modena, as car's satnav got us lost in a maze of very narrow streets, in which, following satnav instructions, we went round and round. People we asked did not know the hotel and were unable to help. Eventually, ignoring satnav instructions, we went in an opposite direction and luckily came across the hotel's road.

The staff was amazing. They greeted us when we arrived, which was a little late in the evening. It was around midnight. Were very friendly and helpful. Andrea if I am spelling his name correct was very helpful and courteous. The entire staff was great. Breakfast was also a very good experience and again great staff helping out. Nothing but good things to say
