Very nice and very clean hotel, bed super comfortable, large bathroom, property is perfectly located in a walking distance to a park and the central part of the city. Breakfast was delicious with high quality products, coffee was great. All staff is amazing - especially on reception desk and the ladies on breakfast! Very smiley, kind and helpful. We got a free room upgrade which was a wonderful surprise! The reception staff helped us with the parking tickets on the street. Hotel is a top choice for exploring the nearby cities. We would definitely come again. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located near the park in quiet neighborhood. Knowing Montecatini it is commendable that the hotel has kept up its renovation and maintenance to the highest standard which is not always the case in this town. The hotel is charming and has a very comfortable old world charm with nice public areas and a lovely terrace in front of the house. Everyone from the owners to the restaurant staff were incredibly nice and attentive to the needs of their guests. In the breakfast room Guiseppe and his colleagues make an excellent coffee. All in all it was wonderful to be back in Montecatini after a prolonged absence and the next time we will come back to this hotel.

Due to the large number of tour groups staying at the hotel who take breakfast quite early, on a number of days the buffet was a bit depleted when we arrived at breakfast around 09.00 am

Great location and really nice pool

Drinks at bar fairly expensive if not allowed to bring your own stuff to poolside. Drinks in plastic cups should be cheaper than drinks served in bar.

Beautiful hotel, quiet and clean rooms, nice pool, great breakfast with lots of choice.

Beware of additional charges - 5 EUR for a tiny slice of watermelon and 4 EUR for mineral water in the room (in a plastic bottle which looked like complimentary water). Sun beds at the pool were being ‘reserved’ by people by throwing the towels on them early in the morning which resulted in 80% of the beds being virtually empty throughout the day. At the same time some folks would lay on the bricks as there were no chairs/beds available. That’s a ridiculous situation which the hotel staff should be managing. Come early for breakfast - after 9AM there were ‘shortages’ of food as staff was not able to keep up with demand (although you could tell they were all working extremely hard).

The room, shower, pool, and all staff were exceptional, especially Martina at front desk and Roberto at the bar. We had our one year old with us and she was treated like a superstar by all the kind staff- she really loved the trip and could sense the kindness from everyone. This is a beautiful hotel - the pictures do not do it justice, as soon as we walked through the doors we were captivated by the charm and history of the place. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They happily warmed our daughters breakfast for us without any complaint.

Nothing at all. One small thing however, I do feel like one extra staff member at breakfast time could really help things run much more smoothly. They all appeared extra rushed at this time of the day and they just need an extra set of hands, perhaps.

A beautiful Grand Hotel, at the same time modern (rooms & showers) and from another time (lobby). Most outstanding: The family atmosphere and the kindness and helpfulness of the people working there.

Can be a bit noisy since there are many bars down the street. But it's a matter of location, hotel itself was quiet.

We liked the hotel in general and especially the stuff. One of the employees, Roberto, was very nice to us, especially to our kids. He took time to talk and play with our 3 years old son and he also gave him cake at the dinner. Roberto, you are a role model of what excellent service should be. At the check in we received an upgrade because our reservation was for two adults, but we traveled with two small children. We didn't need extra bed and we booked only for two adults, but they gave us a bigger room with more space and a better view. Thanks a lot! 😊 We also liked the dinner at the hotel. It was nice and the restaurant is so beautiful, and we got some cake as a treat.

I wouldn't say we didn't like, but for us was a bit strange that at the breakfast we received so small portions for two adults. Probably it is because of covid situation, which means that the stuff gives you food, that you choose. I respect that the stuff is busier doing that but I only suggest they pay more attention.
