That it is PET FRIENDLY. The size of the room and the bathroom, the parking availability, the location where the Borgo is, in the middle of nature. Easy access, friendly staff. It's really amazing to wake up on those rooms and observe the nature, trees, green of the garden! And again, it is PET FRIENDLY!!!

The food menu at the restaurant, maybe sometimes is better to keep it simple and offer comfort food (basic food to recover after a long day). The other thing we didn't like was that we brought a bottle of wine and wanted to drink it at the "lounge/play room" and they didn't allow it. They have a restaurant and we understand that there should be some policies, but we were at the lounge in some kind of living room. Maybe charging a corkage fee? This is the center of Toscana and some guest may want to try different wines from the region ;)

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool and pool area is fantastic.

The room are rustic and full of character which is nice but they felt a bit dusty and perhaps a bit of modernising in the bathrooms would be good.

The property as a whole is magical - it created a sense of wonder, relaxation, down-to-earth vibe and basically everything one might ask for in a leisure location. Some exceptionally great factors to highlight are wonderful staff aleays eager to help and serve but also interact in a personal way if that’s something you like; the pool with it’s facilities; the cucina in either one of the great restaurants, home to a great Chef and staff that are truly on-par with the highest standard of Toscanian fine dining but reasonably priced; the bar and drinks; the Tennis and Fooball Facilities; and of course the rooms which truly hit the balance between ”country romantic” and modern. I think we stayed at one of the cheapest rooms but it too was exceptionally great for a frequent traveller. Must mention that with a rental car, the location is great for day-trips to anywhere in Toscana (Firenze, Siena, Montepulciano, whatever you want to see). 10/10, would recommend for families, couples, elderly, a dog family or basically anyone who wants a pinch of true toscanian warmth and luxury in their life.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms are all in renovated historical farm houses. You have the modern convenience and traditional Tuscany feel at the same time. Every corner of this property is so beautiful, which you can tell from the pictures on their website. A very nice swimming pool which we enjoyed very much. Buffet breakfast has lots of selections. We even picked fresh tomatoes every morning as they grow tomatoes right next to the restaurant. The tomatoes are delicious! Actually, every meal we had there was delicious. The best part of this hotel is service. My rental car broke in the middle of the trip and I had lots of trouble contacting the car rental office. Ivan (gentleman at the front desk) rescued me from the mess. He made millions of phone calls to the rental office and road assistance, talked to them in Italiano, and finally arranged the broken rental car to be towed and also arranged transportation for me. When the towing truck came, he and another old gentleman (maybe the hotel owner) talked to the driver, made sure every detail, and got all documents copied. I know they were doing everything to protect me and I highly appreciated that. Also, a lady at the restaurant was so nice that she would escort my elderly mom every morning to the seat and help holding her plates. They just care about their customers and make you feel like home. They also do valet parking with no extra charge. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this place to my friends. Beautiful property!! Our room was upgraded & was very clean & spacious. The bed was very comfortable. There was a fabulous double bathroom. We loved it. Breakfast was wonderful with a very large variety of foods & eggs cooked how you liked. There was a basket of fruit & a basket of vegetables & a large juicer so everyone could make their own fresh juice. All the breakfast food was delicious.

We had dinner in the dining room on our first night. The ambience & the servers were great. The menu was very limited & it was expensive. I have to say that we didn't enjoy that meal.

The pool is very charming and family friendly with a delicious bistro restaurant on the side. We liked the chic pool furniture and the size of the pool which was very clean and had plenty of room for all the guests to swim. The food was first class with a choice of two restaurants. I liked that breakfast had a private chef for making omelettes. The lawns are manicured and expansive with a tennis court and rolling grounds to relax.

The attic-style beamed rooms on two floors in the old 17th villa are not as comfortable as the modern extension rooms. Request a room in on elf the new annexes or the spa guest suite cottage which is terrific.

We enjoyed absolutely everything about this place! First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The entire property is breathtaking! Everything is beautiful, well designed, clean, modern, I can't say enough! The food... Ohhhhh! That's another story! From breakfast to dinner, absolutely perrrrrrrrfect! Wine and drinks, top! I am so glad to have found this place! Oh, I forgot to say that the swimming pool is the cleanest I've seen in the world! An underwater robot cleans it every night! And no pictures can describe the actual beauty of everything!

This was one of our highlights on our trip around Italy. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and kind catering to all our needs and questions we had. The bugger breakfast was 10/10, beautiful fresh breads and kitchen staff cooking you omelettes and a barista making you fresh coffee that is brought to your table by waiters. This was no extra charge, all part of the service. We did a “fancy” dinner at the properties restaurant. The food was delicious and the wine was perfect to wash it down with. It was so nice to have a break from the cities , that are heavily populated with tourist to be in open farm land and enjoy the Tuscan surroundings.

Nothing to not like. Though I highly recommend you come via your own car. We hired a car and would have been somewhat stuck without it as there isn’t really public transport nearby

The grounds of the hotel were really green and beautiful which made it a really relaxing venue. Also, big room, good bathroom and friendly service. We had dinner at the hotel every night, good fine-dining at reasonable rates.

1) We chose not to drive -- it is certainly possible to do Tuscany using taxis but it is not a cheap option and some were driving way too fast. 2) It would be good to be able to have some light meals in the afternoons, given the remoteness of the resort.

It is an ancient building converted into a cozy hotel tucked inside nature far away from city. The property was huge and had multiple annexes inside. Parking lot is a spacious open ground secured with a gate. Restaurant has a fine touch and all furniture and its arrangement just adds to the coziness. Staff were pleasant both in reception and the restaurant. They provided help with the luggage and provided free valet parking. Very beautiful property right in the middle of cypress trees. Supermarkets such as Carrefour and Eurospin are available within 10 minutes driving distance.

The furniture inside the room felt very dated. While everywhere else the hotel felt cozy, the room felt otherwise. Location is far away from towns and the roads leading up to the property are not great - have to drive off-road for 10 minutes but doable by even the tiniest of cars. They charge 3 euros for a small bottle of water in the room which is not ideal - so be prepared to carry enough water with you.
