Lovely staff, pool is great for breaks during hot days, beautiful common rooms and well planned rooms. Great to have a breakfast included!

The neighborhood in which the hotel is located is quite run down (compared to other parts of the city), given the price per night we expected the location to be better. No fridge in the room, only shared in common rooms.

We really enjoyed staying at B&B Porta Carolina. It’s tucked into the Kalsa neighborhood, which isn’t touristic but is an easy walk to all the main sites. It was only a 10 mins walk from the central train station to arrive there. And Just across the street from the beautiful botanical gardens. Roberta was so lovely and very helpful. The room was large and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking to have a true Palermo experience.

Loved the location, quiet but central. Restaurants, cafés and bakery close by. The interior is classic and authentic, the yard with the pool is a small oasis. Homemade breakfast with local goods is served every morning. Own food can be kept/prepared in a second kitchen. Most importantly: the hosts are simply amazing. We were welcomed warmly and felt right at home, very helpful and so friendly.

We liked the friendly reception - we were met by a very nice young man who gave us clear instructions. The comfortable bed beat all our expectations. It was also very quiet in the accommodation. The generous breakfast was a big plus - also that our need to eat early in the morning had been heard and was so well prepared for us.

The room and the accommodation as such did not quite meet our expectations. It was a relatively old room in need of renovation. The shower would need to be replaced immediately. We didn't really experience any comfort beyond the room itself. There were no social areas such as garden or pool that were visible in the pictures. It was a bit difficult to find the accommodation itself.

Location was great close to the station. Staff we saw were delightful. Especially the lovely young lady who served us breakfast! She was so happy and welcoming.

We didn’t have a floor swept or vacuumed the whole 5 nights we were there, we knew because we had sand on our feet from the first night, and it remained on the floor!

Lovely and cozy, very well located, staff are so welcoming and amazing! I really enjoyed the vibe of the place and the swimming pool. AC works very well. Just be aware that some rooms have no windows beyond screen doors to the atrium. Keeps the room cool and was not a problem for me, just didn’t realise this when booked.

Nice old house very well decorated with antiques, lot of character. Very close to the city center, easy to park in the neighbourhood. Lively and non touristic area. The lady in charge is very efficient and most of all nice .

Beatrice is a wonderful hostess. She is charming and helpful. She made us a cup of tea when we arrived and catered for all our needs. It is people like Beatrice that make a stay a joyful experience. During our last day my wife sadly lost her Wedding ring which put a damper on our holiday. But joy of joys we had a message from Beatrice. She found the ring and sent it on to us by courier. What a wonderful lady. The property itself is quaint and so comfortable and breakfast was amazing.

I love love loved this accomodation so much! It was in such a nice location and was exceptional. The building is super interesting. Giulia, who handled my check in and was present at breakfast, was amazing and such a kind soul! She really made my stay at Palermo :) I would definitely book this B&B again.

The authentic charming Italian feel. The much needed a/c, the cleanliness and access to a pool to cool off. it felt like we were in an area that was less touristy. Above all, the welcome and energy that Beatrice have was incredible. she was so positive - nothing was a problem. i unfortunately needed to have 3 interviews while away and there were some problems with the Wi-Fi. I let her know and she was able to find me somewhere I could have them, in private with super fast wifi. She went above and beyond. Beatrice also provided and excellent breakfast too, which set us up for the day.
