The Hotel is really nice, it has that high class feel to it. Room has high ceilings, solid wood furniture and good sound insulation overall a great feeling to it. The location is in the center of Palermo, very close to some really good restaurants and you will definitely not be disappointed by staying there. Breakfast was ok, it had everything you would expect. The coffee is really good, especially the cappuccino. The staff was very helpful and really respectful, I have to commend them for that.

Honestly, the only thing I did not "like" was that some small details felt like they were ignored, or left in a bit of state of disrepair. For example, the chandelier in the room, was detached from the ceiling and you could see wires coming out of the amazingly decorated ceiling (which felt a bit meh) and in the bathroom the joints between the different bathroom furniture felt like they were rushed, you could see gaps. All in all, little details that could be fixed within hours if the effort was put it.

Indeed it is a grand hotel! We loved the sophisticated atmosphere.. it felt like stepping back in time to the grandeur of yesterday. Alida at reception was superb. Alida was so helpful to us in planning our stay in Palermo….even to the extent of getting our train tickets to Cefalu for us. The whole staff at the hotel should be commended. You could not ask for a better location… ideal for visiting many of the historic sights by walking. The offerings for breakfast were plentiful.

We didn’t find one thing we didn’t like.

We recently stayed at this Palermo hotel and had a wonderful time. Its location near the main street and attractions made it easy for us to explore the city. The staff's friendliness and readiness to assist added a personal touch to our experience. The hotel's decor, especially in our room, was fantastic, creating a cozy and luxurious feel. Breakfast had a lot of choices, including Prosecco, which was a great way to start our days. It was like a peaceful retreat in the midst of Palermo's hustle and bustle. A shoutout to the bar, which made our evenings special with its hospitality. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to coming back.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient as all the important sights, markets, city center and harbor are within walking distance. The area was clean and safe, also at night. breakfast buffet was extraordinarily rich and the staff (especially Davide) was very attentive, cheerful, helpful. reception staff very polite, helpful and sophisticated

Our room was on the first floor at the back in an extremely small courtyard: this meant that the room was always dark, even when the sun was shining. The sewage pipes from all the rooms run loudly into this courtyard, so you always have the feeling that it is constantly raining. This is very annoying and loud, especially at night. Make sure you get a room on the upper floors and/or facing the street!

It really was ‘Grand’, in a lovely old fashioned kind of way. Room was large, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were all charming, helpful and just damn nice. The breakfast was excellent: very good scrambled egg. We travel a lot, and good scrambled egg is the sign of a good hotel we think! The situation was perfect: a little out of the way of the noisy tourist spots, but you could walk to them easily. There are nice little bars and restaurants just around the corner. We enjoyed the laid back jazzy live music in the bar on Thursday evening. The hotel was a great sanctuary from the craziness of wonderful Palermo. Thank you, we had a great time!

Excellent hotel, in very good condition with outstanding decoration and ambiance. Very spacious rooms, with good air conditioning, high ceilings, comfortable beds, and very good bathrooms. Very good service from the reception, housekeeping, and breakfast staff. Very good breakfast, extensive and of excellent quality. Very convenient location, one block from the main pedestrian street in Palermo. It has valet parking service at a reasonable price. We used the laundry service which, although expensive, was very good.

The valet parking service is good; however, when checking out, they take too long to bring the car, which shouldn't happen since they know when guests are checking out and could prepare in advance. When we arrived, there was a lot of confusion at the hotel entrance with the cars, so we had to take a long detour before arriving, which is quite chaotic in Palermo traffic. We had poor internet connection for most of our stay. We reported it the first night and they said they would send someone, but no one came. On the last night, we complained again, and someone came and gave us access to another Wi-Fi network that worked much better.

If you like belle epoque grandeur, then Hotel Wagner is your place :-) Don’t listen to some previous reviews, the hotel is not dated at all. My room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom very big including a bidet (that is standard in Italy, but rarely in outher countries). The reception and all other staff very pleasant. Location is perfect if you want to be in the very centre of Palermo. I booked the hotel some 6 weeks ahead, probably this is why the rate felt good value.

The breakfast room is on the top floor and not enough protection against very strong Sun - the brekfast room was too hot even at 8 am. Generally the decoration of brekafast room was basic - not up to the hotel grandeur. Strange wifi system, each room has a code for a different router - this doesn’t work most of the time. Then reception gives you access toa general router - why not start with that?

Location is great for nearby street restaurants and easy atmosphere for eating out & a short walk for the bus stop to the airport. The historic areas, street food markets, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The staff at Reception and the concierge / porter were particularly helpful and welcoming. A good choice of food at breakfast with a variety of coffee and teas. Great to have air conditioning in the hot weather and bottled water supplied in the bedroom. Although Palermo is not a quiet city, this is generally a quieter location for night time - we've stayed several times and usually sleep well.

Staff at breakfast are quite laid back and no regular protocol - some days they come to the table to offer coffee & ask for room number, others they don't and you either attract attention or go to the bar to ask for coffee. Different staff seem to do things differently too, so it can be a bit confusing when you first go. However they are all usually helpful when you ask for something.

The hotel room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast spread was good and hotel staff were polite. There are nice restaurants near the hotel and the hotel is just a 5-min walk to Teatro Massimo ( opera house) and food street , a 10-min walk to La Martorana and Quattro Canti and a 15-min walk to Palermo Cathedral and Palatine Chapel

Nothing. The hotel room style is that of grandeur European - with darker and heavy furniture. It takes a bit of getting used to compared to the clean modern style. Other than this, the room is big and comfortable.

Perfect location for exploring Palermo just a short walk and you are by the Opera House and all the interesting places to visit. We took the bus from the Airport to the City Centre and the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the Bus Stop. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all very helpful. As it was raining on both days we spent some time in the lounge area and the drinks/snacks from the bar were really nice. Great place to relax.

The breakfast was very comprehensive and tasty but unfortunately the hot food was not hot but only warm which was a shame. Ideally it is not best not being on the ground floor as the noise travels with groups at reception or at the lift which was not a problem overall just when people arrived back late.,
