Exceptional food and service. The location and view is beautiful and there are plenty of different spaces to explore around the property. I must mention the beef fillet - it is an outstanding plate of food. The restaurant is of the quality you would expect from a recommendation in the Michelin guide. Also excellent for gluten free travellers. It was easily the best service we’ve had in Italy from the entire team of staff.

The high price is justified by the setting, restaurant and service. For expectations, the rooms are excellent but traditional - do not expect top end or modern luxury/mod cons. I ran the trekking trails on the map which seem to say they are much further than they are, so they may need re-measuring/new sign-posting!

Stunning facilities with epic views, friendly staff, incredible food, and numerous activity options. Our room was a good size and central to everything on the property. We got the "Superior room with a Terrace", but only because less expensive options weren't available. All the rooms are totally unique. (Tip: Message them in advance to request photos of your specific room, so you can change it or set expectations accordingly.) The free lotion, shampoo, etc. bathroom bottles smell absolutely amazing! I wish I bought a bottle of their fragrance to bring home with me. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool, walking in the olive groves, wine tasting, and truffle hunting with Sirio and his dog, Brina. Anna at the front desk is possibly the sweetest and most joyful person we've ever met while traveling. Restaurant staff was also delightful and very accommodating for my food allergies. Free breakfast was divine with fresh pastries, cheeses, meats, fruits, any my personal favorite-- honeycomb, along with cappuccino, tea, or juice. The property is huge with tons of trails, private picnic areas, and panoramic mountain views. The two restaurants on site are a foodie's dream. The Chianina beef filet and pici pasta are two uniquely-Toscana dishes you must try.

The room was more historic than luxurious, and the linens (though perfectly clean) had minor or notable wear. I would have liked more luxurious linens along with a desk for makeup and hairstyling with good lighting. This resort is the most expensive I've ever paid per night, so I expected perfection. Don't get me wrong, the property, staff, organized experiences, and dining are all 10+ amazing. The rooms could just use an upgrade to justify the hefty rate.

The buildings, pool and room. It was very nice and exactly what we wanted to book. The community dinners were great. Very tasty, plenty of good wine, and a great atmosphere, which is what we wanted. Keep them going! Breakfast was fantastic as well.

Some staff were rude, almost seemed they did not want to be at work. There was a lack of barman at the bar. In the early evening the bar below the restaurant was not occupied and so we could not buy drinks. This happened two out of the three nights we stayed which was frustrating.

For a romantic, luxurious escape in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, Borgo Vescine delivered an exceptional experience. My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at this remote, upscale property to celebrate her 30th birthday, and we were treated like royalty throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find that the hosts, led by the brilliant manager Loretta, had arranged a bouquet of flowers in our room along with a handwritten birthday note - a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our visit. Loretta went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special, helping me coordinate surprise birthday celebrations for my girlfriend. The room itself was beautifully appointed, with high-end furnishings and an excellent bathroom. The staff at Borgo Vescine were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing excellent recommendations for local walks, sights to see, and wines to try. One evening, they even arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out during our dinner, which was a truly wonderful surprise. While the breakfast coffee wasn't exceptional, and there were limited vegetarian options at dinner, the overall dining experience was excellent, featuring delicious local cuisine and superb regional wines. We particularly enjoyed the private wine tasting hosted by the knowledgeable sommelier, Matia. The only minor downsides were the ongoing construction work on the property's vineyards (which still allowed for exceptional views from the pool area) and some safety concerns with the poolside umbrellas during high winds. But these were small inconveniences in an otherwise flawless stay. Exceptional hospitality and service from staff, especially manager Loretta Beautifully appointed room and property Delightful birthday touches and celebrations Excellent regional cuisine and wine tasting

Limited vegetarian dinner options Breakfast coffee could have been better Poolside construction and umbrella safety concerns

Location was fantastic! Breakfast was good - a little basic for the overall price but had what was expected. The food at the restaurants and main terrace was very good, although what was most disappointing was the pricing of wine by the bottle and also the wine tasting prices which really didn’t feel like value for money for the region. The wine bottles had around a £100 premium on top of the retail price at the bar in the hotel which was also surprising given the wines were from Tuscany itself. However overall the experience was very good, the staff was friendly and helpful and they welcomed our toddlers which was lovely.

Borgo Vescine is a must stay if in Tuscany. An absolutely beautiful property. Highly recommend making the most of your stay at the Borgo itself - the pool was lovely (with an amazing view of the Tuscan hillside and friendly pool bar), we had a lovely picnic arranged by the staff, and enjoyed the breadth of the menu at the terrazza ristorante. Not to mention the huge selection at breakfast. Reception also helped us with a driver to take us for an afternoon wine tour and with transfers. All of the staff made our stay all the more enjoyable - a special shout-out to the maitre d at the terrazza. We loved our time here!

The location, being a tiny collection of old buildings nestled in the hills is stunning! The room was beautiful, service absolutely amazing, could not fault stay here at all! We did wine tasting in a 12th century wine cellar and got to sample some amazing wines. This then followed into a really lovely dinner with exceptional service. They also included breakfast which was probably the best I’ve had in any accommodation in Italy!

There was a family with 4 kids that were pretty crazy around the pool, splashing everyone and screaming but in terms of the actual accommodation, no complaints whatsoever!

Borgo Vescine is a beautiful property in a beautiful location. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. It's a touch of luxury with the choice of special dinners and lovely restaurants, drinks by the pool or tastings in the wine room. It's easy to reach wineries and towns/villages in Chianti.

Amazing property and location for a Tuscan Getaway. The place was beautiful with a good range of unique activities. We did truffle hunting, the communal town square dinner, wine tastings and a cooking class which were all extremely fun. Great for a 2-3 night stay and the welcoming staff made our stay feel effortless.

None.

Very charming setting, warm feeling, well kept and clean with nice details. Beautiful views and property. Friendly and accommodating staff, particularly the waitress and waiter at the restaurant.

Some of the bath amenities weren’t filled in and observed. The room was a bit dark and more user friendly power outlets would be nice
