Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour was exceptional from start to finish. A beautifully appointed building, situated under the classical arches and we were given a beautiful high ceilinged room with a balcony. Even though we were three hours early we got to check in straight away. The room overlooked the square and gave us our first view of one of the most excellent restaurants we found. On our first night there, and somewhat jaded we picked the one right underneath us and this review would not be complete without a raving heads up for the amazing La Drogheria Pugliese in the Plaza Pietro Paleocapa. Such food is simply an art form in itself and the price was more than reasonable. The staff in the hotel are the perfect balance of friendly and professional and were more than helpful throughout our stay. From booking taxis, giving general advice and providing more than a couple of late night bottles of wine we really couldn't rate them high enough. The hotel itself is perfectly located and the Royal Palace and all the many outstanding exhibitions, (too many to list, we're still in culture overload!) are all within a fifteen minute amble of it's front door. For me the spazio calmo area on the second floor was the perfect retreat at the end of each day. A raised airy and leafy inner courtyard, discreetly lit and adorned with tables and chairs became the place where I could reflect and try and piece together the complicated and unusual history of this city as my better half retired to bed exhausted from trying to combine non-stop shopping and my desire to visit every museum I could find. These late night ponderings are where the wine comes in and the Barbera D'Asti recommended by the extremely competent and patient night manager was the perfect fit for my mood, which he gauged perfectly. For style, location and service this is the perfect place to stay in Turin

The hotel is beautiful and definitely has a luxury feel. It is right beside Porta Nuova train station which is very convenient. The bedroom and ensuite were excellent - very spacious with a lot of storage and the furnishings were great with a large flatscreen TV. We stayed in a triple room (double bed with a sofa bed) but the sofa bed was the size of another double bed and was very comfortable. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked well. Another nice touch was the free water dispensers in the hotel corridor which provided normal drinking water, extra cold drinking water and fizzy drinking water meaning plastic was not wasted buying new bottles of water as you could refill old ones. There was an excellent range of options for breakfast including vegetables, fruit, cereals, cakes, pastries, teas, yoghurt and three hot drinks machines which served excellent coffee and hot chocolate. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman on reception who helped me with directions to tourist attractions including marking locations on a map and provided recommendations on what to visit. He was even kind enough to speak in Italian with me so I could practise and improve my Italian. We would highly recommend Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour.

The Wi-Fi did not seem to have a password and when I was about to connect, my phone warned me that the Wi-Fi did not have a secure connection. There should be encrypted Wi-Fi with a strong password for guests to use. Some of the sockets in the bedroom did not fit our plug adapters. It's usual to find a kettle, cups and a selection of tea and coffee automatically provided in hotel rooms but we needed to request this. However, when the kettle, tea and coffee were requested, they were quickly provided.

Wonderful staff and a beautiful room and a great breakfast!

Parking is expensive. They have a VVERY limited number of parking slots in the parking garage, so make sure you reserve that when booking. But be prepared for the 35€ per day parking fee. That is a value though as if you don’t or can’t get their reserved parking spots you will need to park in (the same garage) but in their per-hour parking. That will cost you 42€ a day. Secondly, if you get a room facing the park be prepared for the noise. Motorcycles, drunk people, and car horns all through the night. The AC is only available June/July/August. Any other months the AC is turned off so you must have the window open. Very noisy nights.

As my first time travelling internationally, and first time visiting Torino, Italy, Hotel Roma was better than I could have imagined. The staff was so friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. The room itself was very high quality especially for such an affordable price! As an added bonus, the hotel is located quite literally in the center of the city next to all of the historical sights which is super convenient! The complimentary breakfast is also really tasty!

The hotel has been in service for a really long time! That being said, the interior of the rooms and the decor may appear a little dated. Although the cleanliness is on par, the age of the building makes it feel a little "dirty" I personally didn't have a problem with it. I really love the character it has, but it is something for other tourists to keep in mind, especially those used to pristine American hotel chains.

Thanks to an amazing Team at your hotel we had an amazing time in Turino. Delicious breakfast to start the day, help from the concierge to get information we needed and a clean and tiedied up room for some much needed rest after visiting the city.

There aren´t any real downsides but we thought we could share a preposition: We really appreciate your efforts in becoming more enviromentally friendly by using the water fountains in the hallways. One idea to step up the game would be small signs to put in the room for the guests to indicate if they need new towels each day or only everyother. Small change but we would appreciate :)

The room was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated with very high ceiling . Big bathroom with bath tab and a shower , toilet , bidet and a hairdryer . Very nice continental breakfast with good choice of food . Friendly staff . Also hotel is in a nice location for traveling from and to the airport . Train station and the airport flyer bus stop just across the road from the hotel . Hotel located within walking distance from many museums .

The shower screen haven’t had the shower seal at the bottom so once showered there was quite a lot of water spillage on the floor by the toilet , but that can be quite easily fixed also our room was a little bit too warm and we couldn’t manage to turn the air conditioner on , but as we haven’t stayed in the room much during day time it was actually quite nice to come back to a warm room after being soaked in the rain all day , much prefer that than coming back into the cold one .

The hotel was perfect, near the station, great breakfast and large comfortable room. Good value for money. PO

My son requested one night accommodation, it was not available, so the receptionist said he could use the sofa bed in my room at an extra charge of €25 for the one night. He departed the next morning, checking out at the desk and stated my mother will remain, I am leaving. At the end of three nights when I checked out I was charged for three nights €75 plus city taxfor my son and I for six nights. This overcharging has not been reminded. My room was only cleaned once in six days, if they yad cleaned they would have seen my sone had left. This is very disappoint as otherwise I would have recommended thus hotel.

City is amazing. Hotel just beautiful given its 150 yrs old. Antique furnishings very well maintained.

Reception desk. Lovely people but didn't engage well. Had to ask for city map. They didn't ask if you were OK and if they could assist in any way. It was very much hello and goodbye. There was a young guy on the desk the day before we left. He was most helpful as we thought a train would bring us straight there but you have to change and take a metro. Not a problem if you have time. He suggested taking the air couch and it is vcomfortable and much cheaper.

Their breakfast was excellent, with a lot of variety to suit many different tastes. Normally in Europe I'm just expecting a continental breakfast with a few sweet things and coffee, but this spread had scrambled eggs and little sausages and many different types of breads, and cheeses and meats along with the normal sweet things! It was great! I know the hotel was reasonably busy during the five nights I stayed there, but except for breakfast I almost always felt like I was the only guest there! Very quiet for being right downtown! Everything in the room was well organized and easy to figure out and perfectly clean. I loved the daily housekeeping service!

The ONLY thing that made me laugh was the size of the juice glasses at breakfast! As an American I forget how accustomed to oversize portions we are, so their TINY little glasses were just SO European!

The location was good, next to train station and metro station. walking distance from city center, basically on the main street that goes to the center. and the pedestrian area. Good restaurants and caffes nearby. the hotel is friendly and cosy, the room very clean. The bed and pillow comfortable. Each floor has water supply for the guests, which I did not see before. The breakfast was good, a lot of staff to choose, sweet cakes, cookies, tartes, salty food also (cheese, ham, eggs, vegetables), milk and cereals, fruits, different sorts of bread, caffee. The staff is very nice and friendly. They have a nice terrace, but we went on march and was a little rainy and did not have the chance to use it. The area is safe and even when we returned late we felt safe.
