Everything was perfect! I even mentioned while booking it was our anniversary and we had a room upgrade, a lovely bottle of champagne with treats and a lovely message from the hotel. Couldn't fault!!! We were also given drinks vouchers to use at la Madonna. There's a reason we always keep going back and recommending it to everyone!

We adored Next Hotel - I did a lot of research and review reading prior to our trip to Melbourne. We were choosing between Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, QT and Next Hotel. After walking around Melbourne and viewing the hotels along the way, we adored our location and had no regrets with our selection. Great coffee shops and bakeries within 10 minutes walk, restaurants and bars within 5 minutes. The facilities were fantastic, beautiful rooms, bathrooms with luxurious finishings and a great shower with lots of pressure. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the pillow selection was a nice touch. The windows had complete black out blinds that honestly felt like we were in some kind of time vortex not knowing if it was 2am or 7am when we woke up, and it was amazing.

We loved the room and the blinds are the best we have ever had in any hotel. Total block out. Room was also very quiet. La Madonna restaurant and bar were fantastic. The two bartenders were brilliant and need to be commended. Bed was very comfortable, location brilliant and staff overall were great.

House keeping was very slow, both days room was serviced after 3pm. The club was fine but not attended during the day so when you come back in the tables were still dirty. A lot of little kids which impacted the atmosphere of the club. Breakfast was the same every day so on day 3 it was a bit boring and food also was cold that morning.

The location was great, bed was very comfortable, and bar staff friendly.

We stayed in an executive suite and there were stains that looked like wine or vomit stains on the floor in the lounge area. Guests had to wait at least 30 minutes to get a coffee each morning in the executive lounge and lounge had poor options for canapés for people with food intolerances. Express checkout was offered but no final receipt was emailed and I only received this a couple of days after I requested it due to being overcharged on my credit card.

The staff were absolutely lovely and could not be more helpful. They took great measures to make us feel welcome and surprise and delight us. They particularly made my 4 year old feel very special on his birthday. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was super comfy. The blinds were very effective and kept the room nice and dark for a sleep in. We loved breakfast and drinks in The Club, and even had a gin tasting at the bar.

The room was quite dark, even with the curtains pulled. I would have liked to see some drink or meal vouchers, considering we stayed 10 nights, but that's just a suggestion.

Everything staff location food drink especially the wonderful concierge on duty when we arrived on Saturday at 3pm. Our room was amazing with a wonderful view.

On Christmas Eve at 9pm our toilet decided not to flush.There was no maintenance man on duty but reception sent a wonderful man with a plunger and he unblocked the toilet.we were then concerned every time we used the toilet the same thing may happen-I hope you have had maintenance to check the drain as I think it is probably a blockage further down and I would hate someone else to have the same problem.The room was 2309.

Our go to hotel when we stay in Melbourne Sophisticated & understated.........but So long as they haven't hiked their prices ridiculously because there's an event on The whole vibe has changed a bit (for the worse) since Hilton took over the property Maybe time to look elsewhere.....

Breakfast on Sunday was a disaster Things arriving in the wrong order or not at all Staff rushed & almost throwing the plates on the table without stopping This is the first time we have stayed where the service has been properly poor Tarnished the whole experience tbh

Lovely luxury Hotel, perfect location to stroll down to the MCG for a concert. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful plus the bar and restaurant was fantastic as well! Melbourne was extremely busy the nights we stayed, but city noise levels in the room was minimal and didn't disrupt our sleep.

What sets this hotel apart from other 5 star luxury hotels we stayed at in Australia and elsewhere is their exceptional customer service. All delivered in a friendly, helpful way without being stuffy or obsequious. The hotel seems fairly new. It’s very modern in its design and is immaculate. We had a Deluxe King room, which was spacious, comfortable for a 6-night stay, and very well-designed. Two examples of how well thought out the guest rooms are: 1) blackout shades completely block out light because they sit in a metal frame; 2) besides a desk, closet and other cabinetry, rooms have a long, built-in bench that holds two open roller bags plus hang luggage. I also appreciated the Nespresso machine. (As an American, I was quite surprised that most of the other 5 star luxury hotels we stayed at during our trip to Australia only had instant coffee in the room.) We would absolutely stay here again if we were in Melbourne.
