Car parking penalties You have 5 minutes to register your car A family member called to say farewell was unaware of such a penal system and received the maximum penalty. The scrambled eggs are still awful which detracts from a very good and generous breakfast

Friendly efficient check-in. Realistic £10 charge for a dog. Large well equipped room with clean good size ensuite shower room. Super comfortable King size bed. There was a pull out sofa bed in our room that we didn't use but would have been great for a family andstill plenty of space. Modern minimalist but very tasteful decorations and furniture (plenty of hangers.) For a budget price, a very good room. Breakfast included was very good and plenty of choice and quantity.

A bit difficult to locate the Hotel. It would benefit from signage from the main road. The room was cold when we arrived but soon warmed up as an additional space heater was provided to assist the air con unit that worked well.

The room was large, bed king-size and comfortable. Bathroom spacious. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was fresh and there were plenty. The location was out of the city, very peaceful and quiet. Pet friendly. Thank You, we will come back again.

Don't like the doors in our room, to connect to the next room. The bathroom vent was noisy, disturbing night sleep. Also could there be somewhere to hang the towels? Another thing in the bathroom, it's lighting. All big 4 lights in once coming on, and at night when going to use the toilet, it's too bright. Breakfast, continental selection would be nice. No warm milk for Weetabix.

The hotel itself and the rooms were spotless and smelt very clean and fresh. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Housekeeping are a credit to the hotel. Only slight letdown was the food at the evening which was very limited, most of the menu was unavailable, so quite a few of the guest (many rooms booked as all attending a wedding localy) all had to order take away. Breakfast on both morning was lovely & plenty of choice so dont understand why the kitchen had issues at the evening. Maybe bad stock taking. One point we advised reception about which they advised us to report in writing was my parents had booked the double disabled room and struggled with only one chair to share in the room for them sit on. There needs to be two chairs in this room. Would use this hotel if in this area again if the evening food issue was sorted out.

Lack of food in the evening.

The staff were very accommodating and the free breakfast was lovely. The location was in a business park outside of town, this wouldn't suit everyone as you would need to be travelling by car, but we liked it's location. The hotel and our room was lovely and clean.

The lift was very bumpy/jittery and it was only going up one floor with our luggage. So we decided to just use the stairs after that. Our window catch was broken so we couldn't close the window properly but again, this didn't interfere with our stay, the curtains were ceiling to floor and overlapped and even with high winds outside they didn't move those curtains one bit.

Lots of choice for breakfast, the room was spacious, clean and comfy . Iron and ironing board in the room also a hairdryer. The staff were very nice and helpful

We used the local taxis which we booked at reception . Called Veezu cabs. Some drivers did not have a card reader so we had to be taken to the nearest cash point first before our destination, which was not a problem The drivers were very nice and did know the area well. Just remember that the hotel is on a retail park a way out from the town but is only about 7-10 mins in a taxi into Shrewsbury . Where there is lots of eating places as the Holiday in Express HG does not have a restraunt . Just remember to carry some cash for a taxi just in case .

The room was excellent, the shower and hot water worked well. The bed was comfortable. Our request for a second chair was acted upon immediately. It is on an industrial estate with many small businesses which also had 24/7 security. We paid extra for drinks and evening meal but breakfast was included in the price and was very good with both hot and cold dishes on offer.

There are no drawers in the room and no safe. I prefer to put any valuables such as passport, travel documents, money in a safe place during my stays away from home.

Hotel was great and a good base for Shrewsbury and the local Shropshire area. The staff we were great and really helpful when we had any queries, two of these were down to providing some extra hangers and a different pillow. Yes you either have to go out in the car for dinner or taxi like others have said but that didn’t bother us there are a couple of pubs not far away that are great (Riverside Inn and Mytton & Mermaid), advise booking both busy and both by the river and the food was fab and we could have got a taxi in to Shrewsbury if needed. Rooms and bathroom were spacious.

Both minor points Breakfast, there was a reasonable selection but was just ok, personal preference. The noise from the kitchen fans as we were right above them but when we mentioned to staff at night they turned them off and this was fine.

Everything went smoothly and efficiently. All the staff we talked to were helpful and friendly. I thought it was marvellous that we could take our dog, though a bit more instruction about where he could sit at breakfast would have helped. The breakfast was great, fresh, and plenty to eat and drink.

The room we were allocated was freezing when we went in. It turned out that the window was open because the handle was missing. So we couldn’t close it. I reported it and another room was allocated straight away. The rooms were serviceable but could have done with decorating as they were a bit tired, particularly in the bathroom. The duvet seemed small for the bed.

Check in was very quick and straight forward ,the car park is very spacious so no problem to find a parking spot .Staff all very friendly ,the buffet breakfast was excellent credit to the chef nothing over cooked . ,Our room was very spacious we were on the ground floor not far from reception .A very comfortable bed

(room 17) The bathroom was quite smelly the shower smelt very musty /damp and we smelt the same from another room as we walked past and the door was open with cleaners were inside ,so obviously it is a problem with the shower cubicles, need a really good scrub as ours was quite brown in places ,I can't blame the cleaners for this because they are only allowed so much time to clean each room so giving the showers a good clean isn't possible but perhaps the hotel could allocate time every so often to give the showers a good clean .
