We loved our stay at Villas Sur Mer. Carmen was amazing and the security team, Marlon and James were watchful, helpful and friendly. The entire staff were great. Our room was spacious, clean and so unique. The bedding was super comfortable. The pool area and the hot tub were great as well- literally the largest hot tub I’ve ever seen. My husband loves the sun and I prefer the shade, there was plenty of both in the pool area for us both to be happy. The cave walk to the cliff “beach” was also a really neat feature. The property is across the street from LTU Cliff Restaurant with beautiful views and delicious food. We ate there often during our stay. There’s a small local market down the street to pick up incidentals for the room; we got coffee, drinks and snacks. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and stove, plus cups plates glasses and dinnerware for two. We used the refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave, all worked great. We had a meal at Ivan’s and went to Rick’s Cafe a few times. All within easy walking distance.

These aren’t unhappy items, just FYI. Travelers need to be aware that there is no restaurant on site. LTU opens at 7:30am and closes late, so you don’t have to cook for yourself if you don’t want to. I loved the shower, it was a step down design and like a natural rain experience, know that you have to be patient on getting the right temperature and pressure. For the hot tub and pool, you’ll need to let the team know to start them for you and it will take some time for the hot tub to heat up. My husband and I love the sounds of nature so we were fine with roosters, dogs and birds but this might be bothersome to some. And the property is close to Rick’s so you’ll hear the music. We had no trouble sleeping and I personally enjoyed that considering it part of the island flair.

We absolutely loved this place. Its beautiful landscape nestled within the forest, the chic pool, functional design, cleanliness of the villa, comfortable rooms and beds, Carmen's attentive assistance at the reception, and the presence of security personnel at all times, etc. All contributed to enhancing our Negril vacation. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I recommend that utensils such as pans and spatulas be renewed. It would be a plus if there was at least beverage service by the pool.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and our son's 1st birthday and can I tell you, we regret nothing. Gilla Sur Mer is really beautiful. We stay in cottage 8 with the pool view and it was just breathtaking. We had complete privacy and that was a plus. If you like nature and the rustic vibe then Villa Sur Mer is the place for you. It was an exceptional experience and we can't wait to plan our next trip there. Thanks to all the amazing staff there as well. They were all accommodating

Cute villas dotted about a tropical garden that leads to a fabulous pool area. My villa was super comfy. The steps down through a cave to a private deck area was amazing and tranquil to sit down at and watch the catamarans go by. The staff were super friendly and very helpful with tips and booking dinner reservations.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely and lush tropical oasis. The villa was stylish and the bed was comfy. Though the kitchen was cramped and could have been better equipped, we enjoyed being able to make coffee and toast in the morning and enjoy it on our patio. We had a resident kitten hang out with us and watched geckos and katydids hunt while having wine at night. Coming from NYC, we wanted quiet and a relaxing getaway and this place was perfect for that. The swimming hole on the cliffs reached through the cave entrance was really cool. The water was a little rough on the days we were there so wouldn't recommend swimming for children or non-confident swimmers unless conditions were calm. The little pool and waterfall on site was nice too, we enjoyed a drink from the bar and chilled one afternoon. Carmen was really nice and helpful, she set up car service for us to and from airport and to 7 mile beach.

Even though the property is a beautifully landscaped oasis, it is among the Negril Cliffs hub and other properties surrounding have a lot of dogs that barked throughout the night. You could hear the music coming from nearby bars as well but it usually quieted down by midnight. The walls in the villa are in need of a fresh coat of paint, when we turned off the AC the place got really wet and damp and it seems to have taken a toll on the interior walls.

Hot tub was dirty, would not go in there, ocean swimming ladder was not down, so didn't really swim in Ocean there, went to nearby hotel

The staff was very friendly, the Generalmanager Carmen is an amazing nice person and she helps in every situation. The Hotel is right across the road from Rick's Café. Villas sur mer has an own access to the Ozean. Through a tunnel under the road you get to a wonderful little rocky bay, where it is quiet and enjoyable

Everything was great. Our stay was fun and around good bars that are walking distance. Also around food places that was easy to walk too and the sunset from across the Rd was amazing!!

How you had wooden shutters so we could smell a rubbish like smell and could hear people walking past every morning when you were trying to sleep. So you can't block any noise or smells.

Classy property with beautiful rooms and super clean rooms. The pool is beautiful. Good location, you can walk to restaurants or quickly drive to negril 7 mile beach.

No breakfast offered onsite, however rooms have a kitchenette so we were able to buy food and have breakfast on our terrace.
