It was really comfortable and nice little place. Really quiet and the place was kept clean. I would stay again.

When you take a shower, you may have to jiggle with the handle to make sure it stays hot. Also, they told us we would have to move beds and didn’t come to clean the room, so the trash got full. We didn’t end up moving beds, so it was a little weird. But also not a big deal, I think it was just some miscommunication.

Nice design, very comfy beds and a fabulous view of Fuji from the rooftop...main challenge is getting there...

It was a bit challenging to communicate with the team as all the messages and instructions about how to get there were in Japanese only. When I turned up in the very narrow alley that leads to the door downstairs I had a bit of a worrying moment as noone was there and I had no wifi. But they buzzed me in when I rang the bell, and someone arrived reasonably quickly to tell me which bed was mine etc. Location is also a bit of a challenge as the bus from ShinFuji takes almost an hour to get there.

I really love the rooftop, main reason why i booked this having mount fuji on full view from the rooftop.

It's not really a bad thing. it just so happened that the 3 nights I stayed here I was literally by myself as I was the only guest. And since it wasn't busy the receptionist are only here to check you in and clean during the day. So I felt so ALONE because i had the entire building to myself 😅😅 And I think its still the effect from the Pandemic but the area was still feeling like a ghost town, 90% of the business there are still close.

The check in was in a nearby hotel “arcade”and the stuff was very friendly and let us check in earlier than 4 pm, the guesthouse is “new “,located at the 4th floor in an old warehouse. It’s nice equipped and clean . From the room we had a nice view at mt Fuji .

The narrow entrence between the houses, could use some more light in the night and some wood repair at the ground.

Awesome design and ambience, modern look and extremely clean. Possibility to rent towels and laundry detergent for 100 yen. The Wifi is super fast and available in your room. The staff and owners are very friendly, they also own a tasty fried chicken restaurant nearby. Thank you for the nice days! PS: GOMADANGO is probably my new favourite japanese word ;)

I'm pretty tall (1,90m) and the beds were a little short. I had to be careful not to bump my head at the top counter.

Very clean hostel, the owner was nice (although a bit late with checking in). It is easily reachable from the main stations and there is a smaller station. I was the only one there so don't expect a very social/busy hostel.

The building itself is very unwelcoming and the entrance is straight out of a horror movie. The facilities were quite bare.

Check-in was effortless and everything is new and modern. I stayed for the view and it was 100% worth it. I watched the sunset from the roof. It would be nice if there was more patio furniture on the rooftop. There was a lot of information and directions on how to use the amenities in the hostel.

Firm bed. Guesthouse is located on the fourth floor and there are only stairs.

Very clean and cozy environment with nice facilities. The beds are great with a lot of space for your luggage. The view from the rooftop is AMAZING!!! And very close to the train station. Overall a great place.

Slightly inconveniently located if you want to do daytrips. Just because you have to take a special train, that doesn't come very often, to get to the closest main station.

staff was nice, interesting architecture, clean shower, common room and nice kitchen.

a lower bed had little bunk in the middle part and it was keep banging my knee when I sleeping and moving... don't know why they made like that. it's painful! hallway and room are probably connected and divided by only thin wood board with a gap. so the structure of hallway making sounds lauder echo at the night time when noisy ppl coming back. it disturbing our early sleep several times.😑 hope they seal it well asap... need to keep punching parking card but sometimes forget to do that. want to make it easier...

The owner was very helpful. When I was checking in he initially offered me an upper bunk bed, but when I asked for a lower bed he made the lower bed for me right then and there. I had the whole dorm to myself for the night. The view of Mount Fuji from the rooftop is excellent (as long as there's no clouds).

You may find it a bit sketchy when you first enter the guesthouse. You go through a narrow alley and up a stairway in a rough looking building. But the place itself feels very clean and safe. I didn't meet any other travelers there, but I think it was off season.
