The breakfast menu could have been even more than excellent if given more varieties of food choices good for at least seven days or a week's assorted selection of different cuisines for healthy and nutritional round of delectable rotations. With all due respect, we highly commend and truly appreciate the overall services of this hotel without any doubt. So far so good.... there's nothing we didn't like.

Very convenient location - less than 5min walk from the train station. The room was small but ok for 2 days stay. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in the hotel 2 times over 10 days and we left Kindle reader in the room during the first stay. We let the hotel know and once we came back after few days Kindle was already in the new room waiting for us - this was very nice.

The interior looks a bit old. The check in process is a bit complicated because of strange payment machines which however do not accept all cards and in fact many people come back to pay at the reception desk.

It is right next to Hakata City which is the main train station in Fukuoka. Very convenient for transport, meals and shopping. The rooms are very spacious by Japanese standard with two huge twin beds. The kettle keeps the hot water hot after boiling. Great and efficient hairdryer. Instead of instant coffee, they provide better quality drip coffee in the room. It has a great Japanese restaurant on site which is always busy with local businessmen at dinner which to me is a good sign! Breakfast is also served there and it is beyond luxurious and expectation - you can choose from a range of set menus: Japanese style, Hakata style (featuring local delicacy mentaiko) breakfast or Western style or even one with Japanese beef curry rice (see photo).

No bottled water provided in the room and the toilet’s lights cut off periodically. Some of the staff’s basic English could be a little better.

Rooms a bit small and furnishing a bit dated. It took us a while to find the hotel as the access/location map on the hotel website/booking.com gave people the wrong impression that the hotel faces Otowa Park....

Hotel is close to Hakata station which make it much easier to travel to other places. Breakfast is Japanese style and very good. Room size is big enough for placing 2 big luggage.

Although the room is pretty large compare to other hotel nearby. The single bed room is smaller than twin bed room which is my recommendation for next booking. There are coin washing machine available on 2nd floor but there are only 2 units which are not enough because washing and drying take 2 hours. My wife got late sleeping time for queuing laundry.

Great location, practically next door to Yodabashi and Family Mart. Very near to the Hakata Station (JR and subway). The amenities were great, I forgot my toothbrush and shaver, and they gave one for free including shaving cream and after shave lotion. The staff were very kind and courteous.

The room size is small but good enough. There is no safe for valuables.

This hotel just like many in the area: small room with fridge, TV, and clean bathroom and deep bathtub! Location is the key here. Five minute walk to Hakata bus and train station and shopping malls. I used the washing machines too. Staff spoke enough English to check me in. I didn't try the breakfast. I would stay here again.

Hi we love our stay at Richmond this time. It’s our first time visiting FUKUOKA with my wife. We had a wonderful stay. The location is great. We found the 石井 sports building everything nearby and conveniently. We appreciate everything the hotel provided. Specially thanks to the front officer who offer the option to upgrade our room so we could change to non smoking room due to my booking was smoking room by my mistake. We will definitely recommend this hotel to the others.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in our stay even though we don't speak Japanese.The breakfast had a great variety including a western breakfast and other Japanese options.5 minute walk to Hakara station to catch trains and buses to everywhere you wanted to go I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Fukuoka.There is a laundry facility and vending machines as well.

It’s very convenient to Hakata station and not too noisy.

Although I’ve lived and worked in Japan for over a decade, and was guiding a large student group from overseas, the staff treated me like a tourist and it was frustrating because it made my job more difficult and didn’t help instill trust in my customers. Would appreciate if they took a moment to be receptive to the different situations of non Japanese and didn’t group them all into the ‘tourist’ category.
