The location was excellent, across the road from Ohori Park , right beside a subway station and close to shops. We had a private room with excellent shared toilet and shower rooms. Very clean and quiet. Shared kitchen space was well stocked with pots and utensils and a nice space to meet fellow travellers. The breakfast was nice and convenient but very limited. A new menu was introduced on our last day that seems to offer more.

The front desk was not staffed all day. We would have liked to change our towels more frequently as we were there for a week.

I used to stay in Tokyo branch. I have to say this is so much better than Tokyo. So close to train station and accommodation is so comfy. Probably best place to stay for overnight stays.

Please provide slippers. Disposable ones shouldn’t be too expensive.

A big shower room for female travellers. Free earplugs are provided. Even though the beds are just separated by curtains, the room light will not leak in which is very important for light sleepers! Also, the other roommates keep quiet from 23:00 to 07:00 and it helps a lot too. The kitchen & common area are on the 5th floor. Fridge & oven are provided. The staff stick some notice to recommend tourist attractions in the city. Inside the bed, a locker (with key) is provided so you may store your personal belongings.

The lights in the restrooms are quite dark. For those who need to put their makeup on, it may be a bit troublesome (haha). I paid the room with breakfast provided. The breakfast was decent but not much of variety. There was not quite enough room to open up luggage (especially case luggage). Maybe just three to four people can open up their luggages at the same time.

This facility is exceptional. I wasn’t expecting much given prior disappointments at other similar facilities but my doubts were turned into excitement the moment I checked in. The staff were kind and welcoming. The room I stayed in was simple but superb with a comfortable bed and necessary amenities. Of all the nice things I can say about this facility, nothing compares to the kindness of the staff. The lady at the restaurant was exceptional. She was busy with many guests to serve, but still she was smiling and jovial and kind. Thank you for making my stay wonderful and I look forward to another stay when I visit Fukuoka.

A little bit more variation would make the breakfast better. For example, addition of some proteins like ham, bacon or sausage would be great.

I had stayed in Unplan Tokyo about 7 years ago so had high expectations. This was such a lovely spot in Fukuoka, close to a station and a beautiful park walk. We also walked into the city a couple of times which wasn’t too far. The hostel has a great feel to it, very welcoming, helpful staff, lots of suggestions of places to visit and eat in the local area. There seemed to be a lot of options to meet up with other guests for solo travellers. My wife particularly enjoyed the cafe which served great earl grey tea.

When I stayed at unplan tokyo 7 years ago there were hard boiled eggs as part of breakfast so was hoping for similar but might not be something they do in fukuoka or might have stopped since the last time I visited.

once you exit the station, you'll immediately see the property so the location is definitely good. They have instructions in multiple languages explaining how to utilize their utilities and facilities. They also have recommendations prepared to check out what's around the area. Perfect for a solo trip & a couple nights of stay! The toilet and shower are very clean however the bath can get crowded during peak washing hours.

As this is a shared facility, people are generally quiet however if you are a light sleeper, you'll get awoken by the sound of luggage zippers or people's footsteps when guests walk in and out of the room.

Stayed 4 nights as a solo traveler. Location very accessible to the Ohori Park station. The park is just across. Facilities excellent. Checkin process was smooth even you came late at night because they will send you your individual pincode for lobby and room. All the staff were nice and accomodating. Bathrooms and restrooms were kept clean all the time. My room (pod) was ok for me. I love the 5th floor. They have the lounge, kitchen and laundry area. The kitchen is my fave area because I love to cook. Cooking and dining utensils were also provided and even condiments like oil, salt, sugar, pepper and other seasonings. I will definitely.book with them again the next time I go to Fukuoka for the third time. Good job team Unplan Fukuoka. Keep it up and see you soon.

It's not that I don't like their free breakfast. Maybe someday they can make it better. I am a breakfast person that's why I'm not used to small serving only🙂

Great location, right near the subway line and Ohori Park. Very neat setup, the dorm beds have a bit of space inside the cubicles so you can keep a backpack and other stuff handy, and the common areas at the top and bottom are very comfy. Very comfy beds and the dorm rooms were pretty quiet, I had no trouble sleeping.

I felt like the whole building was quite cold for some reason, but being inside the cubicles would get a bit stuffy. Sometimes there was a bit of mess left around in the bathrooms and kitchen areas, but in general everything was pretty clean.

The location is really nice, if you are taking the train the entrance is right in front of the hostel. However it is a exit with only stairs just so low-mobility guests are aware, I’m not too sure if the station has an elevator just at a different entrance. I also really enjoyed the lounge space on the 5th floor, it’s pretty large with lots of seating and the kitchen has all the equipment needed. It’s also located right across the street from the Fukuoka castle ruins and about a 15-20minutes walk to Terumo shrine. The breakfast that is included is pretty small but it worked really well for me in the morning (toast, yogurt and coffee/tea), just remember that it ends at 10am. If you miss the breakfast time there is a ministop right beside or a 7-eleven that’s like a minute walk away. There is the coffee shop “Coffee Maker” located in the hostel lobby, I really enjoyed their caramel latte and their hazelnut latte. The bed was super comfortable and I really enjoyed my little capsule bunk bed. I also love that the curtains blocked all the light coming into my little capsule. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to the city.

Very Hostel vibes, there’s a nice lounge & kitchen area on the last floor. Metro and bus station right at the corner. The double room was good quality for price if you book in advance.

Not very central but I knew it.. the breakfast is not worth it if you have the choice, I went only once out of 4 nights as there was no milk, no fruits, no eggs. The check-in requires to pay an additional tax, but it seems to be specific to Fukuoka regulations. And there could be a bit more attention to details for example in women bathrooms to have more than just hand soap. Also in the double room there’s a sink but no soap, there are two cups but no spoon.
