It is very clean and comfortable. We loved the onsen (hot bath) which is part of the hotel facility. The staff was kind and friendly, the room is super spacious, has a separate tatami space where we spend our relaxing time. We originally booked for one night but have extended for another night despite the location is outside of Hakodate.

It located right next to Shin Hakodate Hokuto station which is 25 min from Hakodate Station by train. The location of the hotel is great but it is a bit of distance from the main city. Also not too many trains from Hakodate. There is no shops around the hotel except a couple of souvenir shops and a bottle shop and a little convenience store. On the other hand, if you are traveling to Honshu, this is where Shinkansen leaves. So it is very handy from that perspective. The entrance of the hotel could be a little more obvious as it took us a little to find it. lol

Perfectly located outisde Shi-Hakodate. It is not in the city center but perfect when you're arriving by Hokuto- Expresss and plan to continue with the Hayabusa-shinkansen. But also there is a direct train to Hakodate. The hotel is roomy clean and modern. Amenities can be picked up near the reception. Next to the reception is also a public bath which I used. It is clean and has an indoor part and to my surprise an outdoor area where you can relax after a long day. It has a certain smell to it because it's a proper onsen which means the water has to contain a certain amount of minerals. I had a twinroom. The room is spacious and offers plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. Japanese people have mastered the art of making great pillows. There is a resonably sized tv which I didn't use. The temperature was really nice too and if you don't want to use the public bath, the bathtub is also decently sized.

While the hotel staff impesses with thei Japanese politness and helpfulness, it would have been beneficial if their english was a bit better. For basic communication it's perfectly fine.

Was right next to the train station which was convenient with luggage. The only thing to be aware is this is quite a distance from Hakodate (30 minutes on the train) so it was a little isolated from restaurants etc. Hotel rooms were nice, basic but had everything you need. They also have public baths there but you can’t use with tattoos. Staff were friendly and helpful, and was great value for money.

Was a great option and affordable

Perfect for a stop over between trains to/from Hokkaido visit. We stayed both ways and didn’t disappointed. Next to the station and they are super relaxed if you need to leave luggage. Clean, comfortable, staff super nice and helpful, Onsen is a plus!

Shin-Hakodate station is in the middle of nowhere, so if you get there late, don’t expect to find a place to eat, etc. Hotel has a restaurant which closes 9:30. They do have some instant noodles available which saved us 🤷‍♀️

The hotel room is very big and convenient to rest as well. Laundry machine are plenty, there's also public bath and the breakfast is delicious. The staff are really kind for letting me keep my luggage there for awhile after checking out since I still want to travel the city. The hotel is located conveniently just beside the shin-hakodate-hokuto station exit. There's the "hokkuru" shop at the 1st floor where you can find foods and also shop for souvenirs as well (The lobby is in 2nd floor). While there isn't a lot to do near the hotel, the location is still convenient if you want to travel in Hakodate and Hokuto area, as it is located in the middle. Hakodate is about 20 minutes away by train, and around the same is for Hokuto. Sapporo (The biggest city in Hokkaido) is still about 4 hours by train from here since the Shinkansen isn't available yet, but there are still lots of great stuff to visit and enjoy in both of these cities, even if you don't get to Sapporo. Really enjoyed my time here and hopefully I could go and visit again in the future!

Not sure if there's anything in particular that I don't really like here.

Right next to the bullet train station so short walk, very clean, staff extremely friendly even though English (like my Japanese) is thin on the ground! Food was good again more towards in country tastes but enough for a Brit to survive on, breakfast buffet gave a number of options: Fried eggs (ask for fresh),scrabbled eggs, fried bacon chunks, various pastries and cereals. Coffee was also good.

Probably my mistake but there was no desk in the room which was tough as I’m not that good at crossing my legs!! Only Green tea to Drink some coffee or black tea would be good.

It was a clean and very decent place to stay overnight for a transit. Location is very near to shin hakodate station. Not recommended for longstay as theres nothing to do or see. I checked in late at 10pm and everything had closed already so it was really hard to find dinner. Fortunately, the front desk sells instant foods and snacks near its counter so i could survive with noodle cup. But overall was a good experience. I was lucky as i stayed in room overlooking the sunrise so i woke up a beautiful view ☺️☺️☺️

Location is connected to the shinkansen station. Perfect for staying overnight before catching the morning train. Staff are friendly and approachable. Although many hotels provide coin operated washing+dryer, I must say the ones their provide are of good quality and powerful. The clothes washed are clean and dry enough for u to keep.

Nothing. Just a note if you are checking in late evening, better to eat dinner first if you are coming by train. There are no nearby restaurants. Good that you buy some food back. There is also a common microwave near the lobby.

Very comfortable hotel for a stay if visiting Hakodate and the surrounding area. Large and spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located right next to the shinkansen station - along travel south to Tokyo - and also the local train line that serves Sapporo to the north, or the regular local train that runs into nearby Hakodate itself.

Being very close to the train station helped after being stranded from heavy snowfall. This place offered a very comfortable experience after realizing my train wasn't going to make it to Tokyo. The onsite onsen and in house restaurant was the cherry on top.

The limited menu selection. What they do have on the menu is very well made though.
