Excellent location and a good set-up for cyclists. The single bunk I stayed at in was spacious (at 5 foot 2 I could stand up with some clearance) and comfortable - although like most Japanese hostels/hotels the mattress was very firm. I appreciate that, despite the hostel being fairly empty, they made an effort to spread guests over the dorm space which made for a quieter stay. I pre booked the multi course meal which was delicious, very filling and worth the money. Every time I felt like we might be done, another course would appear. There is a public onsen nearby which is worth a visit after a day’s cycling and a Konbini across the road if you need to pick up snacks.

Good facilities incl. a dedicated space for people to service their bikes if necessary. Shower rooms and toilets are kept clean and the "rooms" are tidy and well maintained. The dinner option was very good if you do not have any dinner plans or else the famimart across the street will have cheaper and varied options. If you cycle into the town on the west side, there are also restaurants specialising in seafood from the regional waters.

Things are never really quiet be it a bunk bed or a single room cause the entire sleeping area is a huge partitioned shared space. People dragging their slippers, whispers, coughs, etc are going to be heard rather easily. However, since we all can hear one another, I observed other guests to be as conscious as possible so the disturbances are really kept to a minimum. Also, the hotel hand out ear plugs for free.

Cool concept for lodging executed well. Very clean rooms and facilities. I loved how I could hang my bike in my room. Also great location. Right off the Shimanami Kaido and almost perfectly at the midpoint between Onomichi and Imabari. It's close to the Shimanami Dome (for a relaxing onsen), a 24/7 convenience store, and 雅楽, which had the best food I had on my trip at a good price. Also it's not too far from Sakari, where you can take a ferry to Okunoshima! One caveat for my trip is due to Typhoon Shanshan, I was the only guest staying in the hostel at the time. I felt bad for the staff for being the reason they couldn't have the day off, but the staff was still very gracious and accommodating.

Excellent dinner, great location for the Shimanami Kaido route and accessing the local onsen. You were free to bring the hotel's towels to the onsen so you didn't have to rent one.facilities were plentiful and clean. There's a FamilyMart opposite so very convenient. Good sized lockers for storage and safe parking for bikes - I stayed in the dormitory so didn't have my bike in my room, but very happy with the locked garage provided. The photos were all accurate and it was nice of them to provide pajamas and have washing machines available

I stayed on the top row, it was a little warm and because the ladder was vertical, a tiny bit difficult to get in and out - as all similar hostels have this, it's more that I'm not suitable for the top row!

It's basically a capsule hotel but aimed at those exploring the Shimanamikaido on bicycle. It's a clean, modern building with nice staff.

I got a top bunk bed, which is hard to get too and did feel the money paid was a bit high for just a loft bed. I also would not recommend getting the dinner plan ahead of time, I did this but they are very strict on timing and if you miss it, you lose your money. This made me have to rush when riding the Shimanami-kaido and could not fully enjoy it. Instead, book a room and if you want, have dinner and pay for dinner when you arrive. My main problem however were other guests that all wake up at 5 to 6 am and alarms and loud talking and did not care about the sleep of other guests.

Nice location! It is close to the bridge and a konbini. The check-in was smooth. The staff who served us did a great job. She explained things clearly, and there was no communication issue as well. Kudos to her! The cabin and public area (cafe, lockers, toilet, shower, garage, and laundrymart) were excellent. It was clean, tidy, and spacey. They provide nice amenities. I loved the dinner set as well; it was filling and tasty! Lastly, as a smoker, I really appreciate that they have a smoking area at the front of the hostel/the corner of the garage. Overall, I got what I needed and had a great time in this hostel. I think this hostel is the best hostel I've ever been to.

Nope. All is good!

Great location just off the bridge coming into Omishima, across the road from a Family Mart looking across the sea. Helpful receptionists and staff who spoke English and Japanese, giving very clear instructions. Rooms were very clean and well organised especially for a hostel. The bunk bed was very spacious and ample space for both the top and bottom bunk, each room felt very private even with just a sliding door and curtain (everyone was respectful and kept things quiet). Amazingly everything you could need for your stay is provided - slippers, common toiletries, toothbrush, pajamas, towels, razor, extra blankets, hair dryer, iced water and hot tea at the reception. We booked dinner with our stay which was lovely - soup, sashimi, salad, rice with chicken katsu and sakura mochi.

A little pricey for a hostel but given the quality of what was provided, well deserved!

Great stop in around the half-way point of the recommended route of Shimanami Kaido cycle trail. Very clean, well-put together hostel. Also close to a community center that you can go to for onsen to relax. Also across the street from a FamilyMart for meals/snacks/drinks.

Heaters ran throughout the night in the whole place made the place kinda hot to sleep in. The dinner set that you can reserve for 3500 yen was so-so in my opinion. In hindsight, I think I would've preferred just getting a single dish.

In house dinner was great value and delicious. Try the limoncello made from the local citrus fruit which they serve in much bigger glasses than you would get in Italy. Catered perfectly for cyclists doing the Shimanami Kaido. Exceptionally clean and modern and kind of quirky in a good way. Lockup storage or keep the bikes in the sleeping space. Loved the bikes that seemed to be on display.

The hostel style of accommodation may not suit everyone but for our cycling adventure it was perfect. No one could tell me about the cool 20" Tern road bike which was outside when we arrived.

Amazing place to stay about halfway along the Shimanami Kaido Cycle Way. Room was comfortable and nice. Have washers and dryer for use. Order dinner with my accommodation, and it was very yummy and filling. Was a 5 set meal and honestly couldn't finish the last of it. They have showers but also point you to a public bath house about 10min walk down the road. It is tattoo friendly. I have a rather large tattoo, hard to hide, and the onsen had a few other guests when I arrived. I was nervous, but no one seemed upset about me being there.

Na - honestly can't think of anything I didn't like.
