We had a very big room with a fantastic view. Staff was friendly. The hotel facilities like the onsen-like bath on top floor are a very nice extra. It's easy to get there by bus from the train station and most areas in the city are easily walkable. The market is just 2 minutes by foot and there are plenty of food places nearby.

Clean, neat and helpful staffs. Hotel in a great location just beside Omi-cho market, and walkable distance to other places of interest like Higashi Chaya District or the castle etc if u like to walk… Kanazawa Loop Bus stopped just by the hotel Omi-cho market and beside it is the hotel. Taking bus to Kanazawa Station can easily be the Kanazawa Loop Bus or any local buses that have 金沢駅 written on the bus front… From Kanazawa Station, it is an easy 15mins walk away… Right opposite the hotel, there is a small mall for shopping. And few convenience shops nearby…

The hotel is clean and the room is big compare with other hotel in Japan. The staff was so friendly and you can find all the facilities you need in the hotel. They even have a shared bath with open air bath which is so comfortable. The bicycle rental is free. From Kanazawa station it's only 15 mins walk but if you are too tired to walk you can take a bus. There is a bus stop infront of the hotel. The price is reasonable with this location can all the facilities they provided. This is the BEST hotel. If I'm travelling again to Kanazawa definitely going back to this hotel.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly, the daily room service was excellent & the checkin & out process was simple. There is also parking available which don't do what we did & pay at the meter, go see them inside the hotel to pay. The room was spacious & had everything we needed.

If I was to pick anything it would just be that it's a good 15-20min walk from the main station. The buses were a little difficult to navigate & the main bus that does that loop wasn't operating during the weekdays. The other main buses also do not take the IC & you need exact money to give the bus driver which is hard to navigate with language barrier & exact coins quickly as you try exit the bus.

Perfectly set up, easy, comfortable room, lovely public baths, good amenities such as vending machines and tea/coffee/water in the room. Had a lovely one night stay and wish it was longer! 15 mins walk from Kanazawa station

We've booked this hotel as it is very close to the train station, the Omicho Market and the castle. And I have to say it was at the perfect location. The bus from the train station stops right in front which is great if you are traveling like us with a lot of luggage. The Omicho market is 2 minutes away, and the castle and the Kenroku-en are like 10-15min walk. Many 24/7 shops around and a Starbucks across the street. The room was great size and very clean. Overall we had a great experience and I can recommend the hotel.

Nothing to dislike. We really liked the hotel. Would be nice if they had skin stickers for the onsen like other hotels.

Excellent location, right near the Omicho market, and up the road from Otama Shrine. The castle grounds, gardens, various geisha districts and Samuari district, and temple district all an easy walk, plus the train station. Room is huge, with an entre and separate toilet to bath/shower, and a fridge with a glass door. Comfy beds, excellent shower, nice towels. Interesting how the blackout blinds work, rather neat. Also good roof top out door area. The robes were very comfortable too. Ph and reception held luggage prior to checking in, which is expected now, but still lovely and convenient.

Horrible pillows, too lumpy, like a half filled sand bag. Reception staff could be more helpful, as I enquired about luggage shipping and told too late for the day, but no alternative options were presented, eg 7/11, post office or Takuhaibin Service.

I had an exceptional stay at The Square Hotel Kanazawa. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 15-minute walk from the main station, and right across the street from a 7-11, which made grabbing snacks or essentials easy. There’s also an amazing restaurant, 鉄板酒房 Haru, nearby that’s worth a visit! The hotel’s facilities are top-notch. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. One highlight was the public bath on the top floor—immaculately maintained and a perfect way to unwind after exploring the city. The staff were a real highlight as well. Friendly and funny, they went out of their way to help, including arranging for our luggage to be shipped to our next destination. All in all, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in Japan, and I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Kanazawa. Highly recommended!

All was above i expected in this price.. Modern, clean, comfortable place with good breakfast selection 👍 Only check in and car park might be a bit less flexible as I'd expected.. See cons..

If u plan, to come to hotel, take luggage, check-in and leave next day, that's not a problem. We came late and after check-in wanted to go to town, eat something but then car was locked after 5 min of parking and issue started.. How to unlock now etc.. Ah, staff as always in Japan comes with kindness and helping hand and we sorted that. But we needed to insist a bit and stand on our position to succeed releasing car free without loosing night parking ticket.. All in all, hotel is great value as money to offer you get 👌

The room was huge compared to what we got used to in Tokyo. It was clean and they gave us kimonos, which was pretty cool. We had breakfast included: it was buffet with all kinds of foods, nothing stellar, but very good, I really enjoyed it, my wife a little less I would give an 8 to breakfast! The position was quite close to a bus stop which was pretty close to the train station. You could also walk if you want to

if I have to find something off, I would say the "Gym", which it's just a treadmill, other than that I didn't find anything else.
