Great facilities and comfortable rooms Friendly and helpful staff - the reception ladies went out of their way to help my wife when she needed to see a doctor - this was such a comfort for us being so new to Japan The happy hours as totally unexpected too - a few hours of free beverages and snacks opposite reception each day Location is spot on - right next to the two main stations so you can easily get to the Shinkansen to various faraway locations and local cities like Osaka and Kyoto.

Happy with everything here The only downside was that the hotel didn’t have a fitness centre - it looks like the kind of building that would!

I liked the smell of the lobby. It was very fragrant, I also liked the free drinks. I also liked the friendliness of the staff and the room cleaners. They would immediately provide our requests, such as new towels and tissues. We stayed here for 5 nights, and this is our second time back to villa fonataine. We will come back again someday.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but the "do not disturb" door sign in our room disappeared. Before we left, I put the "do not disturb" magnet on our door (in front). We left for dinner for a while, when we came back, our "do not disturb" door magnet was gone. I don't know who took it.

- housekeeping everyday - free snacks and drinks on Level 5 every day from 5 - 8pm - walking distance to Sannomiya Station - loads of eating places in the vicinity - comfortable beds and pillows - very clean room and bathroom - Queen bed was a good size for my 6’ 1” husband.

Close to train line. We could hear and see the trains from our window but our daughters’ room was facing a different direction and they couldn’t hear the trains. At least the trains weren’t the really noisy, rattling type that we used to have years ago. You could try asking for a room that doesn’t face the train line. It was strange that reception was on Level 5 and we had to take two separate lifts to get to our room.

Everything about the hotel was excellent from the friendly and very efficient staff to the super and ample breakfasts. The cleaning staff and the restaurant staff were really good as well as being friendly. They literally could not do enough for me, in order to make my stay a good one. Free drinks and snacks in the evening were also much appreciated after long days out with my Japanese family. Location was perfect being only 5 minutes or so from Sannomiya station as well as very close to the coach station.

The property was very close to the train station about 4 minutes walk. The hotel lobby was at the 5th floor and it was pretty. The room was clean and comfortable, bed is big enough for two, the bathroom is also has good amount of space. The room has a nice couch, and our room was sunny in the afternoon which is nice specially on a cold day. Soundproofing was very good. Cleaning staff were nice and respectful. The reception spoke good english which makes it easier. They were also very kind to help us send our luggages through Ta Q Bin to our next accommodation. They had open bar from 5pm to 8pm with some snacks. They also have free water when you arrive which is thoughtful. Overall it was a very good stay for us.

The staff was very helpful and available at the front desk at all times. They did offer bag forwarding services, and they helped me through that whole process! Room was just the right size for me as a solo traveler and I'm a good sized American. Beds were firm but it was still comfortable to get to sleep. Great location being near the heart of Sannomiya. About a 15 minute walk to Shin-Kobe and only about 7-10 minutes if that to get to Sannomiya Station. Would love to come back on another trip someday.

I had no issues or dislikes.

The room was rather small but the bed was comfortable for me. I loved their breakfast, they had these cute mini croffle and grilled sandwich stations. The pastries at breakfast were wonderful and freshly baked. Great selections of delicious tea at the coffee lounge that you can enjoy freely. There was also an interesting wine vending machine that unfortunately we didn’t get to try. Loved how they carefully curated some local Kobe products in the food & drink. Location wise is close walking distance to the JR Sannomiya station and next door is a supermarket!

Almost nothing, maybe just the lady staff at the breakfast that didn’t seem too friendly. Overall I think the service here could be better.

The welcome drink area is great, lots of drinks to choose from. The breakfast has an amazing selection as well. Rooms are cozy and clean! A lot of personal hygiene/ facial products to pick from at the lobby. Location is super convenient! We are able to keep our luggages there after checking out and pick them up easily later the day.

The walkways are not enclosed so the area between the rooms and elevator is actually outdoor and will feel cold in winter.

The location is great. It is located in the center of Kobe. 4-5 min walking you can go to center. The rooms are great. In lounge, they served free drinks and snacks ( nuts, coffee, fruit, soda, cola ). even between 17.00-20.00, they served wine and cheese. Staff was helpful and very kind. We left our luggage to reception since we early arrived. When we went for check in, they already took our luggages to our room. the room service was great as well.

microwave ovens and disposable eating utensils are available in the lobby for guests to use at any time. Drinks and snacks in happy hour are excellent. The bed is also comfortable. Staff members are helpful and friendly. Convenient to have supermarket next door.

Too many cushions (six altogether)are inside the room. Limited choices for buffet breakfast.
