Loved everything about the Little Garden, including the owner Yoshi! Excellent guy that will set you up with board and wetsuit rental (and decent boards at that). Don't hesitate because it's a little out of the way, that's part of the charm! Amazing views, clean and nice facilities, big rooms - you name it, the Little Garden has it. Support this small business - they are genuinely good people!

The location and the views were spectacular, for such a low cost! I stayed in a twin room with ocean view - it was quiet and comfortable, and the owners were very helpful and kind.

It's a hostel like environment which is good to know, shower downstairs but toilet in the room. This is clear on the posting, so no concerns about it! Just want to make sure others are aware. I liked everything about this stay!

One of the best places I’ve stayed at during my time in Japan! The room is comfortable, the view from the shared kitchen is amazing and the hosts are really nice and helpful. I didn’t have a car but there’s a bus stop nearby with 4-5 busses a day in each direction - so if you wanna visit Aoshima or Udo Jingu it‘s easily accessible from there, even without a car!

No restaurants and Konbini in walking distance, so I recommend to bring some food when staying here.

Fantastic place. Super nice staff, great view, clean, comfy beds, shared kitchen. To travellers without a car: - The inn is located on a hill - There is a coin laundry right across the street - Full kitchen is available for shared use - There is a bus you can take to Aoshima's Iso Beach - Getting to the combini can be annoying because of the bus schedule, so bring food if possible, otherwise you can get some in Aoshima

Very nice location with ocean view (at least from our room). I wish we could have stayed a couple more nights just to enjoy drinking in the room while enjoying the view. Staff was very friendly. I knew there wouldn't be a shower in the room, but was pleasantly surprised that there was a toilet, which I thought would be shared too.

Very cozy and relaxing place! The shared kitchen has everything for cooking a nice meal, and also the sandwich breakfast offered as a paid meal is very yummy. Yoshi is super friendly and even offered to drive us to the grocery store since we siding have a car.

The property it’s uphill which can be a bit challenging for the walk but provides an amazing view for your stay. It’s not a negative thing but just a heads up for the guests is to make sure to have a car rented to be able to explore around. There’s is a bus stop 5 min walk down the road and a 20min walk to the train station.

Quaint hotel on elevated grounds overlooking the sea. Comfortable rooms - we had one overlooking the sea and another overlooking the garden. A common dining/breakfast area with spectacular view. Property is clean and comfortable. The roof top offers great vantage to watch the sunrise.

The drive up to the hotel had a couple of tight turns.

You can feel that the owner care about this house. Everything was clean, comfortable, well equiped. The feel was like to stay at home. Ocean view is incredible. I enjoyed my stay very much. There is a bus to the main attractions right downhill on the main road.

Nearest allimentation shop is 5km, so you have to take it to consideration.

The Little Garden is a family-run hostel style inn with large rooms and a comfortable and large kitchen/lounge room. The lounge has wide windows overlooking a fabulous view of the Pacific coast of Miyazaki. The whole place is scrupulously clean. We slept on futons on the tatami mat floor of our spacious room with attached toilet and sink. Guest rooms are on the second floor. There are three shared showers on the first floor, as well as the shared kitchen/lounge area. There is a very nice, large refrigerator for guests to share, a spacious kitchen area with complimentary coffee and tea that guests can make, and plenty of kitchenware for preparing meals and eating. Outside there is a small playground for little children, barbecue facilities, and picnic tables.

Great views from the room, clean common room for people to have breakfast and chill.. and most importantly, the owner (Yoshi-san?) is very friendly, very helpful with recommending attractions; food and generally very kind! Common bathrooms have big space and is very clean. Nearest city with food is around 10 minutes away by car - the roads at night can be a little dark but the owner has warned us of the same so that’s fine. Alternatively you could buy groceries and rent a bbq pit at the accommodation.
