Great location located a short walk away from the JR Nara station, and easily walkable to the main attractions of Nara near Nara Park. The hotel and room decor feels retro, it has a unique charm that I appreciated. Staff are professional and welcoming, rooms are well-maintained and spacious for what they are. Some Japanese knowledge is recommended as English and/or Mandarin skills might be limited, I would not deem this a negative however, as staff really are doing their best to help you. Breakfast is pretty nice with good variety and choice between Asian and 'Western' styles. I would definitely book again.

The in-room phones are nicely retro but it seems like there could be some issues with call clarity from the room to the front desk. It's a really minor issue however.

All of it! Such a cheap price for this quality of hotel room. All amenities included, the room was clean, the bed was fresh, the shower has really good pressure and hot water, the staff is very friendly and speaks sufficient English, baggage service is available (we’ve sent one of our bags to Tokyo from here for ~15USD), it’s less than 5 minutes to the station and about 25 min walk to the deer (there‘s also a bus at the station for those who need it). We would sleep here again and actually regret we didn’t stay one more night. A similar room in Kyoto is easily double the price.

The washing machine is, compared to many others we’ve had on our travels, not the greatest.

Probably because it was a quiet weekday period, I got the room at a very good price, it was a real bargain. It was a nice little room with all the amenities you need and don't need, internet worked well, and there was a little city view from the window. Staff, or at least some, don't seem to speak English well but they were polite and helpful. If you plan to visit Nara not on the weekend or holidays, it's worth to check out this place.

Great hotel! Located close to the subway and you can walk to Nara Park in less than 20 minutes. Kind and helpful staff, comfy but small room. We are satisfied with our stay :) 24/7 front desk.

There was no air con in the room, or there was a type of ventialtion/ air con with preset heat settings. This hindred us in using the air con on a hot night, and we had to keep our window open to cool off… but then we heard trains passing by. If they had a better air con system it would be amazing!

It' close to the train station. The price is suitable. The room is old but tidy and clean.

We booked this room quite earlier asking for a quiet one. However, we were assigned a room where the ouside wall was under maintenance. When we leaved the room next morning, we saw there were already rooms checked out with no maintenance outside the window. We stepped down to the front asking for a room with no maintenance. At first, the staff kept saying that the rooms were full, finally they agreed that we could check out today and check in later for a room with no maintenance after a not very short negotiation.

The location is good, right in front of the train station, if you enjoy walking you have most major attractions by walking distance, the room was small but warm and cozy and I always appreciate having a smart TV in the room

The offer breakfast until 9:30 am, which is a decent time, but when I asked if I could still have breakfast at 9 o’clock they told me that they would close the restaurant in 15 minutes (9:15) not nice if you enjoy getting up a bit later like me

Location was great near JR Nara station walking distance. Arrived early from overnight express bus and they kindly put up my luggage till 3:00pm check in. Likewise check out time 11:00 and was able to freely store my luggage till my night bus departure. Wifi is great and overall the price and service provided by staff was excellent. Amenities shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels all in the room, while toothbrush/toothpaste, combs, razors, sleeping gowns etc downstairs near the elevator entrance for convenience.

Maybe buffet breakfast since there wasn’t any or perhaps obento boxes for selling? But then again it’s near Nara station where MOS burger other restaurants open early, convenience stores too.

It's affordable, it's clean and the location is super good. The shampoo and body wash brand that they cooperate with is sooooo nice that I've searched the whole Shinsaibashi area for it

The room is quite small but that's reasonable for this kind of price, you need to arrange your luggage smartly. The facilities is rather old technology but they maintain them well. They have tried their best :D

The staff was very nice and helpful. The double room was quite large and comfortable. There are landromats on 2 different floors. The hotel is very close to Nara station, and it's a great and cheaper location, allowing us to visit Osaka and Kyoto as well.

Very inexpensive business hotel. Staff are wonderful people and devoted professionals. Big or tall North Americans (me) will find the rooms quite small by our standards, but most guests here will be from Asia. Tons of amenities, hot water for bath, good bed, superb staff, just the basics for traveling or business.
