When I booked a room with a shared bathroom I wasn't expecting for the bathroom to be very good, but it was incredibly nice. There are also sinks in the rooms, minimizing the need to use the shared bathroom. Breakfast also exceeded expectations—I tried five out of the seven options on the menu and they were all really delicious. I am honestly shocked that they were included in the already extremely reasonable price. The beds were also super comfortable and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

There were only a couple of things I would change. The location is pretty far from tourist areas and not super close to a metro station (about a 7 minute walk, not terrible). It's a bit hard to get to from the airport—I would recommend not transferring trains because the stations often don't have escalators for luggage. A taxi from Tennoji station works better. And then I struggled with keeping my room from getting too warm, but that might just be because I couldn't figure out the thermostat.

The staff were SO kind and helpful. The accommodation was so thoughtfully furnished, warm, clean, comfortable. The cafe underneath was fantastic for breakfast and coffees. Accommodation was very easy to get to via train. We loved it there so much and have recommended it to family and friends. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely, stylish hotel on river near Osaka Castle. Really comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Served great coffee in the bar/ cafe area in foyer and great breakfast choice. Stayed in twin bunk room which had plenty of space including sofa area (rare find based on previous hotels) and shared bathroom facilities which were excellent and spotless - always toilets and showers to use. In a quieter location which suited us but only short walk and tube ride from the main centre and Dotonburi area. Great coffee shops and bagel store nearby as well as restaurants. Cant recommend this hotel highly enough, superb and great value.

Nothing to dislike - you wont go wrong!

This is a gem of a place. The receptionist stayed up late to check me in as my flight was delayed, and throughout my stay I was always greeted with a friendly face. The café downstairs is cozy and the brunch is amazing (though a bit expensive). The corner room I had was beautiful, with view to the river. The shared bathroom seemed new, always clean and of good quality (loved the shower). Most of all, I enjoyed the little details such as tasteful flowers, a list of recommendations what to do in the area, clear instructions on facilities. Finally the area is really nice, full of small, stylish and unique restaurants, bars and cafés (Japanese, European, Mexican etc). I loved being close to the water, too. Overall, a perfect stay. Great location on the river, easy walking distance to Osaka Castle and Tammabashi subway station. Excellent breakfast included in the room price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out if their way to help us, including modifying the vegan breakfast offer to match our daughter’s dietary restrictions and recommending and also booking a restaurant on our behalf, specifying our daughter’s dietary restrictions, to make the translation a bit easier on arrival at the restaurant.

Minimal sound proofing in the rooms (e.g. we could hear the alarm clock ring from the next room and people talking in the corridors when inside our room).

We stayed at Hotel Noum for nearly three weeks and had an amazing time. First and foremost, I would like to highlight the friendliness of the hotel staff who not only spoke excellent English but were always happy to help us with tips about what to do in Osaka. Make sure to rent one of their bikes at one point - Osaka is very flat, so it is easy to explore by bike. For breakfast, you can choose from various options each day (the avocado toast is highly recommended!). Finally, it is a very clean, small hotel that is perfectly located in the heart of Osaka, making it very easy to explore this beautiful city. We'll definitely visit again!

The only thing that bothered us a bit was the size of the room. Yes, by Japanese standards it is very spacious, but we would have liked to have a cupboard and some more space to put things.

The hotel is best described as hip in a cozy way. The staff are super friendly and the lobby/cafe/restaurant area is nicely decorated with a good menu of food. My fiancee and I didn't have breakfast there, but we had wine in the lobby one night where the options available were nice as was the ambiance. The room in the hotel is plenty comfortable, and we had a nice window view of the Kyu-Yodo river and Nakanoshima island. We found the washer and dryer on site to also be helpful. Overall, we thought the room was also good value for money.

The hotel doesn't have other bells and whistles like a gym, but it's very well priced. The location is not near the "main sights" of Osaka or near Namba so if you want a more bustling area, maybe look elsewhere, but there were quite a bit of good cafes and restaurants near us, and it was very calm at night.

Great location, as I was really tired, I took an Uber from the train station there, but as the Temmabashi station is basically over the river (10min walk), then it's easy to reach if you decide to travel by train or bus (I took a local train from that station to Kyoto - longer distance but so much cheaper than bullet train and you can see the country more). Nice staff, always welcoming. I changed rooms during my stay (decided to extend it by one day) so I had the opportunity to stay in the riverside view and the river view rooms - the second one was lovely! It has a small garden-like balcony and the view of the city is lovely as well. The room was small but for one (and also probably 2) people it was more than enough. They have a bike rental, so I only used that and walking during my stay. Nice facility - would stay again.

Beautifully designed hotel, very stylish and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the 7th floor with river views and it was stunning. The room was quiet and had all the necessary essentials. The bathroom products (soap, shower gel etc) were amazing with wonderful smells. We took the room with breakfast included. Great location, within walking distance to a train/subway station (5-10min), 7-Eleven convenience store also nearby. It’s also possible to walk to Umeda, within 25-30min which is a bigger train station and major shopping area. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace and a monthly calendar with events such as hot tub on the roof, yoga, bike rentals, etc. There’s also a coffee shop downstairs selling coffee (very good!), drinks and snacks.

We had the breakfast included and although it was delicious, the menu choices were a bit limited. Also the structure / order of the food and drink coming out was sometimes slow or messy. Drinks forgotten, delayed. The menu also only includes normal black coffee, rather than letting guests order a latte or cappuccino etc. Other than that, food was very good and staff were friendly.

The area is much calmer and more relaxed than Shinsaibashi and Dotonburi. Staying in Temmabashi was a happy accident. It’s way more cool in a relaxed way and clearly a more affluent neighbourhood with gorgeous restaurants, hipster coffee and bakeries and bars. It’s like Hampstead instead of Dalston in London. It’s the only comparison I can think of! The staff speak good English and give great recommendations too. Also the famous Tenjin Bashisuji shopping market is just a stones throw away!

I wish there was the option of a Japanese breakfast!
