I loved absolutely everything about this place. It's in a beautiful, quiet and picturesque location on Sado. My room had it's own little balcony and the view of the village below and the surrounding coastline was really spectacular. The room itself was spotlessly clean with comfortable futons. The breakfasts and dinners served at Nanauraso were just amazing. The attention to detail was impressive. The ( shared) bath downstairs had a lovely view of the ocean. Best was of course the owner, who is the sweetest and most delightful person. She was so friendly but also allowed me to enjoy the peace and serenity of the place. I can't wait to return one day.

I loved everything. Nothing to complain about. Just very sad I could only stay one night this time.

Excepcional stay in a wonderful emplacement! Beautiful, spacious and comfortable room with a balcony and view on the sea. The owner was absolutely dedicated to fulfil our needs. Her son (a good cook) would prepare every night the fish that we caught during the day, in addition to the amazing meals that they serve on a regular basis. The ofuro also has a view on the sea! At night the surrounding are totally quiet: rice fields with the singing of the crickets. Thank you people at Nanauraso!

This is a traditional Japanese minshuku. We loved the view of the sea from our room, the elaborate meals, and friendly helpful staff.

The room that we stayed in was a bit run down...there were numerous water marks on the walls - a fresh coat of paint would help! Also, there was a nice balcony but no chairs or table to sit out and enjoy it.

The food was amazing! The innkeeper and her son are excellent cooks and served a feast of seasonal vegetables and fish. Definitely order dinner for your stay. You won't be disappointed.

The only thing I didn't like was the electric wires that disturb the beautiful sunset sea view. But what can you do about that? I had no problem with this, but be aware that there are no en suite rooms. You must leave your room and go down the hall to reach the rest rooms and sinks. The shared bath and showers are downstairs.

The hostess was very welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were extremely well prepared and filling. My room had a lovely coastal view.

It's quite remote, not an issue for me as such as I had a car, but could be a problem for other travellers.
