Located within walking distance of the Karuizawa station and the Old Ginza district. The room is decently sized, with comfortable pjs/loungewear. There was a nightly window of complimentary snacks and drinks, which you could enjoy in the lounge area or take to your room.

The reception area is rather cramped, sandwiched between the restaurant and main entryway, so it can get a bit congested if other guests or diners are lingering. Not sure why or whether it's an ongoing issue, but the elevator smelled unpleasant.

A stylish hotel, with all the intelligent designs inside the room, satisfied all our needs despite the limited space. Warm and cozy, lovely designs everywhere. Spotlessly clean. Staff spoke good English and provided excellent service on the whole. Very good breakfast. The free flow drinks at 9:30-10:30pm every night was definitely a bonus. Generous supply of different types of alcohol as well as non-alcoholic drinks, and quite a lot of snacks. The whole restaurant was open for guests to gather and chat freely, creating the most leisurely and joyful atmosphere. Our group loved it so much!

Will be perfect if the room light could be brighter and room size a little bigger.

The Hotel is very modern, chic and warm. Really love the deco of the restaurant and lounge area. However the check in area is rather a let down with a very small reception. Staff are nice and friendly. The room is small as always in Japan standard but the beds are comfortable enough to have a good night sleep. Lights are a little dim especially for older people like us but it's a very minor issue for us as we only stayed for 1 night. There's no onsen/bath in the hotel but they provide many choices of salt for your bath in the room. Breakfast was excellent. But the coffee is not strong enough for us. We would prefer to have espresso rather than American coffee. I would be nice to have good coffee to start the day! Free alcohol/drinks/snacks/ice cream from 9.15pm for 90minutes. Rates are double on weekend so we find it not value for money but we have no other choices.

Reception area is small and not welcoming. Coffee is not good. We don't like Americano (we love our espresso and cappuccino). No Onsen. Light in the room is a little dim.

Wonderful hotel - in between the station and the main tourist area, beautifully appointed, room was a good size and very comfortable, the staff were amazing, breakfast sensational and they open a side room at 9.15 for free flow drinks (no beer) and ice cream.

Small gripe but the slat blinds weren’t enough to keep the morning sun out completely. Weird because everything else was so well thought out. Blockout curtains would have seen me give the place top marks. I suspect we also paid a premium for being there for the autumn display (absolutely sensational it was too).

It's in walking distance to the Karuizawa Shinkansen Station. The design of the hotel is chic yet comfortable The working team in the hotel is very international and professional The fireplace is open to hotel guests at night for a time period with free flow drinks. It is a very good experience relaxing there The room isn't large but very much adequate

Originally, I wanted to stay on both Sat and Sun night, but the price is steep over the weekend, so I only stayed one night at the end

Very thoughtful design - they organize limited space in perfect way. Small details gives art impression. I like every element of the design - the room, corridors, the small sitting area looking at the street, entrance, restaurant. Nice, really nice. Staff is friendly, too friendly - they explain in polite and smiling way all amenities the hotel offers. Rooms are small (hey, this is Japan) but well designed, so you do not feel limited in your living space. Cozy. Location is great for train station, for walks along the streets or for visiting places around with bus or train.

Kariuzawa is a city inside the forest, streets are like park alleys, strongly recommend walking along the streets. The hotel however is on the main street, so, it is not inside forest - there are other hotels or villas for that. But i enjoyed the design of this hotel and walk around for hours under the trees. Just turn from the main street, literally 40 metets and you are in a deep forest. Unforgetable experience. If you value design this hotel is for you. Thank you for the experience.

Toilet no heater and it's cold to bathe in winter! Distance to train station rather far with 20min stroll. Difficult too transit with many luggages. Hotel should provide shuttle bus service to train station and shopping Plaza.

Nicely designed hotel, with a beautiful seating area by the fire in the evening. There were free snacks and drinks from 9.15 - 10.30 pm, and that was much appreciated.

Even though the breakfast was tasty, it was fairly limited for an extended stay (only 4 options).

Hotel sits on the central road of Karuizawa town, and it is a 10 min walk from Karuizawa Station (even in snow). It is a nice and cozy place to rest and hang-out with friends and families. Rooms are decorated with simplicity theme. Bathtub is available in the room to enjoy a nice bath after the trip. TV can link to Youtube and play videos of your choice. Breakfast is ordered through menu and drinks are free flowing. There is a happy hour for alcoholic drinks at 9:15pm. Tea and coffee services almost throughout the day.

Room is a little bit dark even with all the lights on. It is part of the theme, but it just make me want to sleep once I reach the room. Bike service is not free and it is charged higher than the bike shop near Karuizawa Station.

Excellent facility. The evening snack and beverage options were many and good quality. The staff was courteous and helpful. Good location on a quiet street any 10 minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes from the Gonzaga shopping street.

The room was a bit tight and could have offered more places to hang clothes
