The location was amazing. Clean for the most part. Ultra quiet.
Towels are vapor thin and should be thicker. Fans in bathroom not powerful enough to suck out steam. Although clean, the room had minor scratches and ripped wallpaper. Stayed in the bunk bed room.

The room was a little small, (normal in Japan) but other than that is was perfect! Location was superb, close to both metro and JR and also coming from Narita airport with skyliner, great variety of shopping and food in the area. Public bath at the hotel was the best thing we looked forward to everyday after a long day of exploring!

Using the public baths and sauna the first thing in the morning was a WONDERFUL way to start the day. The women’s side was stocked with toner and face lotion, blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons. We also liked the drink and ice cream vending machines in the lobby. The hotel itself was in a great location just 5 minutes from the train station and right in the middle of a shopping street. Plenty of late night food options. There was also a cafe next door that opens at 8am for light breakfast.
The last night of our stay, there was a smell of sewage coming from our bathroom. We didn’t know if it was coming up from our toilet or venting in from another room. To be fair, we didn’t tell the hotel about it so they could fix it, we were so busy packing. Another minor qualm: one of our luggages broke on the way to the hotel, so we had to throw it away. Since there was not a dumpster in sight, we asked the hotel if they could dispose of it for us. They charged us 8000 yen, about $60 usd -__-

Great hotel! Location was perfect, in between two subway stations. Staff was friendly and willing to help. They provided luggage forwarding service and helped us fill out the form and notified the destination hotel for us. And of course, the public baths! It was such a bonus treat to use the baths after a long day or to start our mornings. Facilities were clean and they provided robes and toiletries. They have coin-laundry and a microwave to use (which came in handy for konbini meals). They were also family-friendly and provided a packet with kid’s slippers and toothbrush, which was a nice welcoming touch.
Room was small for a family of 3, but that is just the typical room size in Tokyo. The entrance may be a bit confusing initially since there is an annex building, but once you enter the main building to check in, you’ll have it sorted. Just be sure to read the signs outside the buildings. If you plan to use the public baths, stay in the main building (or you’ll have to cross the street from the annex). Tip: In the main building, use the stairs as the elevator can be slow, especially during check out time.

It was close to the station, and right in the middle of plenty of food and convenience stores! The Yamato luggage delivery store was right across the street, so it was easy and quick to dropoff luggage. Staff was super helpful, we got rained on when we first arrived, and the staff offered us clean towels to dry off with. The property door was open 24/7 so you could come and go as you please.
The room is very, very small, so even with limited luggage it got cramped really fast. No view out the window, except the side of another building. There was what sounded like the Pachinko slots in the building next to us at night and we could hear the music through the walls. It was muffled music, but still audible when you’re trying to fall asleep. When staying in the annex, you have to go outside across the street to get to the onsen. Made it a little more difficult to get properly dressed at the room.

Location is great for Ueno. Easy access from Narita Airport using Keisei Skyliner. Just across Ueno Park & right next to Ameyoko street. JR Train station is very close too. Nightlife around the area was very lively. Not really ideal for young kids, but still a safe place for family. Some older teens will probably appreciate the vibes more. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Everyone seems to speak English, enough to understand. The cleaning lady kindly accommodate our request for room cleaning eventhough we forgot to put the clean up sign earlier. The front office helped us to arrange luggage forwarding service, even assist us in carrying our big luggages across the road to Yamato outlet. There is also public indoor baths for hotel guests, smoking area & small lounge at hotel lobby, but we didnt get to try the baths. The main strong point for this hotel is its location. Very easy to get to/ from everywhere.
Hotel room is tiny. Limited space for luggage. Better book the triple room for some additional space.

The location is great and convenient! Just one block away from Ueno JR station and Ueno metro station. The street downstairs is busy all the time and you can get food easily, a 7-11 is just next to the hotel. We stayed at the hotel main building 7F, a 19m square room with my wife and our 2 yrs old boy for 3 nights. The room is tidy and has enough space to pack our 2 large and 1 small luggage. A sofa in the room is good for rest, the bathroom size is small, and it is just like a normal Japanese hotel bathroom with a bath tank. Air cons was comfortable, and it was nice to stay there for a few nights. The Public spa is located at 2F, it was so nice to take a bath for rest there after a long day shopping, there is water provided in the spa, there are vending machines to provide soft drinks and ice cream at 2F. My family enjoyed the hotel overall, we will come to stay again in the future.
What is not good is the price is a bit higher than other hotels around, I think the reason is this one has a Spa bundle.

Convins location, very affortable, room is clean and bed is nice, extremely helpful staff to help to receive my online orders and even provide extra help. They also offer extra help when knowing one of us is sick.
Our 3-people room is extremely small that we can barely walk after opening the luggage. Desk is very small even for 2 people. They is a huge step upwards to go to the bathroom so not the best for elderly. Not recommended this room type for family. The more expensive room type is fine.
