We had a wonderful time staying at this Guesthouse. All the staff is kind, friendly and ready to help if you need to ask something. We stayed there for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. They all speak English so there is no problem if you don't speak Japanese. The location is perfect, next to 2 stations, the bigger one, Shinagawa, and another one, smaller. You can go everywhere from there. In the nearby there are combini, supermarkets, restaurants, izakayas, sushi's and all the facilities. The guest house is clean and cozy, everyone is very friendly and helpful. We absolutely recommend this staying because is the best if you are going to Tokyo, for a long or a short holiday.

The staff are warm-hearted and kind to everyone. They will greet you when you come back from travel and if you are willing to do so, you may have a great time by starting a conversation with them. Special thanks to the staff that helped me to check in at 6. a.m. in the morning due to my flight being hugely delayed and I took the first train to check in after I stayed in the airport. Overall, it's a good accommodation especially for solo travellers, and the atmosphere of the surrounding area is great. You can feel a sense of the real life in Japan looks like.

Nope. Thanks for everything!

Location was perfectly close to the Kita Shinagawa Station to travel by train and also within the historical Shinagawa Shopping Street. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming with easy communication for those curious about any language barriers. They are even really good at recommending good eating and drinking spots.

Checked in when one of their toilets were out of order so use and availability was somewhat limited but would consider it as a very minor inconvenience. Space is also quite limited but somewhat expected from a hostel, so it can be a bit of a problem for those carrying around large luggage or even packing and unpacking your luggage. So mostly perfect for those literally backpacking or short stays.

The staff are just lovely, very helpful and attentive, they even sang happy birthday to me on my return to the guesthouse that day! I found the location to be perfect, a 10 minute walk to the huge Shinagawa station with many lines and the wonderful Yamanote line, or a 2 min walk to the smaller Kita-Shinagawa station, and both able to take you straight to Haneda airport, what more could you ask for? The street itself is full of traditional restaurants and shops with plenty of 'Kombini' right on the doorstep.

Occasionally, by the end of the day (thanks to the men) the mixed toilet can be a little fragrant! But they were cleaned daily, I stuck to the female only.

Great for its price. A few minutes walk to a station and a 15 mins walk to a major station. I got my own space, a little tight, but good for privacy. They have a microwave, fridge, water kettle. A small eating space (I didn't use this though). The bed is comfy. The staff are sooo friendly they always greet me! A convenience store is a few steps away, plus restaurants and a shopping street nearby.

The guesthouse is a bit old. The bathroom has tubs but I don't think you can use them. But the bathroom is quite wide for use. You also need to carry your stuff by stairs.

The Guest House is located on a beautiful street of Shinagawa City in Tokyo. Around 10 minutes walk from Shinagawa train station. The area around makes a perfect place for either morning or evening walk, and a quick way to a train station which has the major commutes, including Narita Express, Tokaido Shinkansen, Yamanote Line is a more than ideal place to explore Tokyo by train. Making your way by foot might be somewhat exhausting as Shinagawa is kind of a long way from a major locations as Shibuya, Shinjuku or Asakusa. The Guesthouse itself is really modest, with a small common room at the ground floor, baths at the basement and rooms at 1st and 2nd floors. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, as you can chat with staff at the common room, try some regional sweets or eat your dish from the FamilyMart next-door. The room I had was a single one. It was quite small but cozy. Restrooms were located at each floor, and were really clean and taken care of. Additionaly, at one of the floors there is a women-only bath. I can really recommend this Guesthouse for short stays, as it provides you well with all the necessities you need to explore the city, including umbrellas which you can borrow at the rainy day.

Staff were exceptional: friendly, helpful, travellers themselves and welcoming. Liked having a common room to meet travellers and chat over coffee and treats. Area is quiet with a variety of restaurants and shops.

Even though it is a non smoking guesthouse, there was definitely someone smoking as the smell was extremely strong some nights. Also my dorm bed was by a window that was extremely bright throughout the night, which necessitated an eye mask.

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. They were very welcoming when we arrived and gave us a lot of local advice on travelling and eating. The room was perfect for our needs and we all slept very comfortably. Shinagawa is a very relaxed area with a lot of great options for the eating. The staff gave us an excellent recommendation for a local izakaya. It's also extremely convenient for a stopover between the shinkansen and Haneda.

The room and facilities were all clean and comfortable, but be prepared for a backpacker-style experience. We were doing a stopover on our way to Haneda so it was perfect for us, but the shared bathrooms are not very convenient as they are not always on the same floor as the rooms.

I had an amazing stay here and highly recommend it to travellers on a budget! The staff, who all speak english, are incredibly kind and helpful, they really make the place feel like home. The dorm was quiet and had an ac and heater so the temperature was perfect. There is a women only bathroom and it was always clean. The location is great as it is only a 3 minute walk to the nearest station which connects to Shinagawa station, making it easy to access the rest of the city. You get more than you pay for and I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Tokyo.

We stayed in a twin tatami room for the first night, which, unfortunately was unavailable the following night, so we changed to a single room and a bed in a 4-bed dorm. Both were cozy and had good lighting, which the tatami room was lacking in. The dorm room had sufficient space for placing suitcases (standing upwards), and a large desk. The bunk beds seem to be custom-made, maximizing the usage of space. There are a couple of small shelves next to each bed, individual lamps, hooks for hanging, and a small locker box for valuables. Note that bath towels are only provided for free for guests in private rooms, or dorm beds booked for consecutive nights (staying in a dorm for only one night does not include a free towel).

There were charging docks/sockets near every bed in the dorm, but the socket near mine was already occupied by room lighting so it was hard to get my phone charged.
