Very clean; nice staff; shared dining room and refrigerator where you can bring your own food; decent value; great location with easy walking to train and port; looked like the restaurant was nice even though I didn't eat there; speak decent English; helped find area grocery stores
They wouldn't drop me off at the ferry despite a downpour of rain -- a 5 minute drive? Wanted to call me a taxi -- that's incredible! Also mad scramble for bathrooms and shower at peak times; not incredibly quiet -- kept hearing banging noises despite being on the top floor.

Had a really good experience staying at this hostel. Staff are so friendly and hospitable and went out of their way to help us when we had an issue with the next hostel we booked in a different town. The place is clean, the kitchen is small but perfectly functional, the free morning coffee is great and at other times you can hand-grind the coffee beans for fresh coffee. We arrived before check-in and could use the common area while waiting for check-in time. Dorm room was spacious with shelves and a handy clothes rack. Laundry facility for a fee and bicycle rental available, and they also serve meals at a decent price.

Honestly, I liked everything in this hostel. The beds are comfortable and the facilities are clean and well maintained. There is free coffee and tea and you can order (very delicious!) breakfast and dinner for a reasonable price. The common area is very nice and it’s easy to socialize with other travelers. It’s also close to the station, harbor and a convenience store/supermarket.

very convenient location with parking spaces, love the hostel decorations and facility arrangement, love the prepared shared travelling information about Wakkanai and the albums recording the past good old times in the 1980s developing the hostel from beginning and the youth of the organisors, through the photo sharing, i can feel the spirit, characteristics and texture about Wakkanai in the past and to compare with my recent explosure in Wakkanai. Pity that I missed the sunset here, but lucky enough to discover a sunset photo above the sea in Wakkanai from the album, so beautiful! by the way, the hostel is so modern and sustainable, love so much!
no door lock at mid night would be bit unsecured? Japan is a safe country though

It's very near the train/bus-station/cinema/center-of-everything. Spacious and beautiful house with a well-equipped kitchen and dining room. Good place to meet people. The staff was incredibly helpful and always on a good mood, which is contagious in a positive way. There's a great manga library that has Golden Kamuy, Riki-oh etc. (in japanese of course). The beds and everything were top-tier.
Nothing. Nothing could have been better.

The guest house is very clean and homey. The staff are super kind and have lots of information about the surrounding area - I also rented a bike which was nice and well-maintained. I highly recommend staying for the food, as everything I had was delicious - the chef is very talented!

Very close from the station and the property is well organized. I felt through messages that staffs are kind and welcoming. My arrival time was after the check in time but they gave me an instruction for the late arrival which was very helpful to me.
Strippers were not sufficient and I and my sister could not use them.

This place was wonderful. Great value, helpful and caring staff, good location, and you can even order meals from a small menu ahead of time. The meals are great too! I enjoyed how cozy this place was, that I extended my stay. Any bikepackers, they have a nice spot out front for your bike, no worries.

Good bang for buck compared to other options in the area. The private room I got was comfortable with plenty of natural light. Shower/toilets are clean and no problem with availability. Common areas were cozy. Parking was easy once you figure out where the hotel actually is (it's a little tucked in)

Friendly atmosphere, kind and knowledgeable hosts helped to advise on local points of interest. Accommodation was clean and quiet and well situated within the city. Got to try their home made venison curry with locally sourced ingredients. Felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of!
