We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tell Madaba Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madaba. This Christian family-run hotel truly excels in hospitality, making guests feel completely at home. Edward, the son, welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness, even upgrading our room—a thoughtful gesture that was a lovely surprise. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the mother’s exceptional cooking. The breakfast was not only delicious but also offered an incredible variety that felt almost limitless. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, with bedroom slippers and toiletries thoughtfully provided. Its location in the town center is incredibly convenient; just a one-minute walk brings you to shops, including a well-stocked fruit store and several souvenir shops perfect for finding gifts to take home.

This hotel is just great. I've loved everything about it, but to mention some highlights, I'd say first of all it's spotless clean. Wherever you look there's someone cleaning on something clean! Breakfast was excellent with either sweet and local products baked every morning by the wonderful anche always smiling owner ( Edward's mother, forgive me, I can't write your name). In the evening I would sit outside in the patio and chat with other guests, everything was so relaxing. The bed was super comfy, the hotel is near to all main attractions. It is like being home, but better. Thank you very much.

Everything was perfect

The hosts could not be any kinder. We arrived at the hotel around 5:00am and decided to rest in the car until a reasonable hour. We were startled awake by a woman banging on our window asking why we were sleeping in the car. Our luggage was quickly whisked inside and before we knew it we were sitting at the table with a huge breakfast before us! The facilities, food, atmosphere and most importantly, the hosts were top notch. The location was walkable to all the sites. If you’re planning a stay in Madaba, this is where you want to be!! Our only regret is that we wished we could stay longer….

Absolutely nothing !

Everything about this property is a 10/10, Edward and his mom were the most hospitable people we met in our entire lives. It was our first stay in Jordan, and we couldn't feel more welcoming into this country. Very comfortable beds, showers were incredible, all seems to be new or recently renovated. Breakfast was homemade made, abundant, and delicious! Located just a few minutes of the important landmarks of Madaba. Definitely recommended staying in Tell Madaba We loved it so much that we re arranged our plans to come back for another stay.

I enjoyed Jordan very much during our 8 days here, all hotels were very good but Tell Madaba is far beyond the competition. Don’t hesitate where to stay, this place is amazing. Near to the airport, in the center of Madaba and can be used also as a base to go to Dead Sea, Wadi Mujib or Wadi Numeira. Owner was really great, speaks perfect English, is super helpful, actually his advices saved us a lot of money and added some new experience (local cuisine, Dead Sea Resort day voucher, etc.). Breakfast was the best I ate here in Jordan and one of the best I ate during my trips anywhere - with lots of local and home made products. Atmosphere is great here. Bed is comfy, shower big, room clean, many lobbies and other shared rooms to enjoy time spent, service excellent. Thank you for everything. People, come to Jordan, don’t be afraid, this place is safe and views and attractions are unique and absolutely beautiful.

Edward and his mum were wonderful, generous hosts and did everything they could do welcome and help us. We arrived very late from a flight and Edward had shawarma delivered for us. They both had lots of useful tips for our travels both in Madaba and around the country, even offering to help us out if we had any problems on the rest of our trip. It was the perfect place to begin our holiday and help get our heads around the new country. Rooms were comfortable with huge beds. Breakfast buffet was varied and delicious and served in a lovely room with a view over the rooftops. The location is central and walkable to the main sites. Take Edward’s advice and visit St John’s Church in preference to St George’s, there is much more to see.

My only suggestions would be to have some choice of drinks and snacks available to purchase, and to place the duvets inside covers as well as having sheets.

Very nice and cozy place :) Spacious room equipped with everything you need. Tea / coffee / water available in the common area. The best breakfast I had in Jordan! So much choice and everything home made! A small garden where you can eat your lunch, they also have a terrace on the roof with a view to the entire city. You can park your car on the street in front. The owners are very firendly, I felt there like at home :) You can contact them via whatsapp. There was no problem for me to check in very late in the evening, I could also leave my luggage after check out. Location in a walking distance to all cites. Definitely recommended!

Hosts are incredible. Warm, friendly and go way out of their way to assist with anything. My luggage was delayed so I had to stay longer than planned and Edward said no problem; helped suggest and arrange tourist activities; called the courier company when my bag was found and made sure I wouldn't worry about anything. Plus rooms are beautiful, breakfast spread beyond imagining, nd the other guests are friendly and interesting. I don't think there could be anywhere better to stay in Madaba

Nothing to not like.

Great, everything went swimmingly. The hosts in particular are among the friendliest we've ever had, they went out of their way to accommodate us and give us tips on where to eat and what to do. Everything was spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee and a toastie maker are available in the kitchen area. Edward was also not visibly annoyed that we arrived very late the first night; they also didn't mind us leaving a bit later than the usual time for a late flight on the last day. The breakfast was delicious: I especially recommend the tomato and herb dip with cheese pies. We'd definitely come back here to explore more, Tell Madaba definitely exceeded our expectations.

Nothing, no complaints whatsoever. We'd happily come back.

We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. Edward, the owner's son waited up for us and kept a parking space for us right at the door of the hotel. He was very friendly and showed us where we could get filtered water and an area where we could make a coffee if we wanted one. He offered to get us food when we arrived but we declined as we were ready for bed. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel isn't luxurious but is very comfortable. The price is more than fair considering the breakfast if nothing else. It was the best breakfast we had in Jordan. All home-made by Edward's mum. Sorry, I don't remember her name now. She was lovely and chatted to us asking us where we would be visiting in Jordan and telling us a little about what there was to see in Madaba. She was very helpful. A great hotel to stay when arriving in Jordan or if you have an early flight as it's near the airport and you avoid the heavy traffic in Amman. Madaba is definitely worth visiting.
