Rock Camp is undoubtedly a cool place to stay; the breakfast is decent and the buffet dinner was excellent both nights. Would have loved to have spent more time there at the pool and just hanging out in the evening; it's quite expensive compared to other options when you're just sleeping and wolfing down food before heading off to Petra again!

Although they're rapidly expanding, it has the air of somewhere that hasn't been quite thought through... perhaps they'll iron out the creases over time. The tour coach driving right up to our guest huts and idling the engine for 90 mins from 7am was a low point... but there's nothing that would stop me staying there again.

The staff at the reception, at the restaurant, at the rooms were all exceptionally professional and friendly! The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms inside the rooms. We had reserved dinner at the restaurant beforehand for 14JD per person for adults, and it was superb in terms of the tast and quantity! Children were not charged but the food was more than enough for all of us to eat and more, plis they prepared French fries for the kids! The pool was big and deep and very cleanly maintained. We had great view of the surrounding from the room, and we enjoyed the serenity at night and in the morning (except for the barking dogs, but they are also just doing their job!). I would highly recommend this lodging for travelers, even those with kids.

For those who are sensitive to synthetic smell (probably coming from the materials of the tent that have to resist the sun rays), I would suggest to choose a type of room besides the bubble.

Very friendly manager and very nice staff. The location is fabulous with a great pool. We loved being away from the town and able to enjoy the night sky and stars. Our room was better than expected. We had dinner in the camp both nights and it was very good and we appreciated the chilled beer after spending 8 hours walking in Petra.

Wr liked everything but an improvement we’d recommend is to put a small lamp (or candles?) on each tables in the restaurant and to turn off or lower the overhead lights which are too bright for evening time dining. This would create a much more relaxing atmosphere in the evening. Also it would be great to have a guided walk out to enjoy the night time sky and stars. We were afraid to do it because of the dogs that wander around the countryside.

The room was clean, spacious and the beds were very clean. The staff was super nice, we called them for some tips on how to visit Petra and they helped us a lot and were very transparent about the best ways to go through it. The tents were also big and the private bathroom was a plus.

The breakfast had a lot of flies, can't really blame it on the hotel though cause the staff was always there cleaning and preparing the buffet. There were also a few insects in the shower and on the tent ceiling but nothing too bad, kind of expected when you're in the nature and sleeping under a tent. The camp was also a bit far from the Wadi Musa village and it wasn't well lit so I'd recommend eating at the hotel at night unless you're comfortable with driving in the dark.

What a great place, just far enough from Petra, 20 min drive out into the country.. most important thing here is the people, we arrived 6/7 hours early unannounced and asked if we could just drop off our bags and we got checked in at 7am instead of waiting for the day and invited to join for breakfast. Having travelled for the last 12 hours we could not have possibly asked for more. lovely people couldn't do any more for us if they tried.

Nothing not to like, lovely pod, great view, away from town. Good breakfast, great dinner pre booked at 15 JOD and we'll worth it.

The location is just absolutely stunning. It's very accessible to Petra if you have transportation (read: rental car), but you feel secluded. The staff were wonderfully accommodating to us, and the tents were clean, comfortable and well equipped. Being able to eat dinner on-site was such a plus since it is a good distance from everything in Wadi Musa, and the food was well prepared and delicious. We were lucky to quite literally have the whole camp to ourselves while we stayed, which was truly a special experience. I can't recommend this place enough. We only spent two nights there to have a place to stay while we checked out Petra, but I easily could have stayed a whole week.

We arrived fairly late at night, but the staff was incredibly helpful: they provided us with a delicious light meal (some of the best mutabbal!!) and even got together an early breakfast for us the next morning, as we wanted to beat the heat in exploring Petra. It was a beautiful campsite, and I absolutely appreciated the staff!!

In Petra, we spend time at ruin. It mean our main purpose to stay hotel is to rest. Their rooms are clean and enough facilities. Also, they has pool and netflix. They are reasonable, clean and enough facilities to rest.

There are some distance from ruin so we had to pay extra fee for putting baggage and transportation. On the other hand, total cost is lower than other hotels and the view is great.

The bubbles are very spacious, very clean and very comfy. The dinner (separate charge) was delicious and feast for kings! The staff was attentive, and it was a good experience overall. Lots of in-room amenities were appreciated (bottled water, tea, coffee, etc.). Also, excellent TV with satellite channels.

The camp's location is somewhat far from the city, and the roads accessing the camp are unlit. Also, I wish the bubbles were all facing the scenic views of the rock formations. Ours just looking into the paved street and another bubble cabin which made it a little awkward for changing, etc. (needing to close all the windows for most of the time). Also, there were several wild dogs nearby that seemed to have access to the campsite and made quite a bit of howling during the night, which made it somewhat more challenging to sleep.

If you are planning to visit Petra, you should stay in The Rock Petra Camp! The welcome reception was amazing. We arrived late, we were really tired and the manager promptly help us. The food was delicious, we loved the idea of having dinner in front of the swimming pool. It was very relaxing as we needed. The room was perfect as the shared bathrooms. All the staff was very helpful, specially the manager of the property. My friend hurt her foot before we arrived and he managed everything that we needed to treat the injury. As the dinner, the breakfast was delicious, with an outstanding view. Before we left the property we recharged our energy in the swimming pool. For sure, we would recommend this place to everyone!
