The staff were friendly and very helpful. When we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded at no cost to an executive suite, which was absolutely amazing. Nice balcony to sit out on with great views across the river to old town Mombasa. Beautiful room, with a very comfortable bed and nice shower. Large comfortable lounge and dining area. There was a large swimming pool just above the beach with great views to old town Mombasa and Fort Jesus. The pool was very clean and staff on hand for towels and drinks. Very close to the centre of Mombasa for any sightseeing that you wanted to undertake. A very pleasant stay.

More cutlery and crockery could have been provided if you had wanted to eat in the suite, but I am sure that would have been provided if we had needed it.

Everything was fantastic, let me start by appreciating the phenomenal workers in this beautiful facility. Everyone was very kind very helpful! Food is great! Views are to die for! One thing that really stood out for me..The security staff and the reception team! This company has invested in Human Resources. I normally like to review places I have been to especially in Kenya, These people are well trained, they are just professionals. I can talk about every single little detail but just know that it was a 10/10 special shout out to all the security officers! Keep doing your job the way you doing. Special thanks to Emily and Moses at the Reception. The housekeeping guy, Lady security officer infront of our suite B105 You're all wonderful. I forgot name of the lady who Checked us in and informed us we had been upgraded. Thank you so much. I will be coming back again and again. I love love it.

Well everything was amazing. Only thing I found strange is the sale of whiskey bottles. Bar man informed us that for a bottle of ie. JW Black label 750ml would be cost of single tot which is 600kes multiply by 25 tots. That's Clean 15000kes for a JW Black Label. That was reaaaally bizarre. Anyway it didn't ruin our evening. We laughed about it. Took a taxi outside to a liquor store outside and managed to get the same at a fraction of that and enjoyed it in our suite.

The hotel was beautiful, clean and all the staff members were amazing and helpful. We rented 2 hotel rooms since there were 7 of us and they made sure to give us rooms next to each other. The cleaning crew was very nice, gave us anything we needed extra of, and was very easy to approach throughout our stay.

Although the hotel was beautiful and was in a jaw dropping location a lot of the amenities didn't work. Both refrigerators in the separate rooms didn't work, the room with the 4 guest AC stopped working, we couldn't get microwave, so we had to keep throwing away food we just got from room service. Wish there was more options with breakfast as well.

I loved and enjoyed the facilities at the hotel esp the pool & the spa.The views from the pool are breathtaking and I’m so glad i got to watch the sunset from the infinity pool. The rooms are very clean and well tended to. Loved the beddings and the mattress was extremely comfortable . The service is swift & efficient and staff very warm & welcoming. The variety of restaurants also makes it very convenient and caters to all guests preferences. I particularly enjoyed the Alfredo pasta from Arabica restaurant and id highly recommend it.

I didn’t quite enjoy the breakfast options i feel it could be better & more diverse. The first apartment i stayed had issues with the Ac but they were kind enough to change apartments for us. The 2nd apartment had issues with the bath tub being incapable of holding water which makes it impossible to use. The Fridge in the 2nd apartments was also quite inefficient but I’m glad the reception called in technicians to fix it.

A superb, excellently managed hotel with a very clever business model. It is the first time we have stayed there for work, but we will most certainly think of English Point again, even for events. It is right on a small beach just across from Mombasa island. The bars and restaurants of the hotel are quite exceptional. Perhaps a tad expensive, but on balance fully worth it. Like always, what makes English Point really shine is the staff, who are all completely amazing.

I really couldn't identify any negatives.

The property was beautiful and clean. Every morning when I woke up, I can see the stuff cleaning every inch of this property. The breakfast was delicious. You had a wide variety of different types of food to eat for breakfast. If you come from the US, please don’t expect food to taste like the United States and how they prepare food at local five star hotels. Expect cultural food. The pizza did not taste like pizza from the US nor Italy. It is designed from local spices and tailored from the local cuisine. This means you will find a lot of curry in your meals. Overall, the service was beautiful and the people are very sweet and kind. I enjoyed the spa where I had a massage by very kind woman who had healing hands. We were greeted with kindness and a refreshment of juice, after our long journey on the train from Nairobi. Everyone, and I mean, everyone welcomed us with kindness.

The only thing I did not agree about the property is how most of the security asked what room we were in. I assumed that when you got past the security gate you were in the clear. It would be very clear that you are staying at the hotel. I am not used to people being in my business like that. But I will say this, the security is very tight, and you feel welcomed by the staff. They are very very kind and welcoming.

Breakfast was great, the staff are exceptional - professional and friendly, making you feel at home. Some even gave tips as to where to visit in the area. Loved the rooms, very clean, cozy and well-equipped. The Spa was wonderful, therapists were truly professional. Nice jacuzzi too.

The view from my room could have been better, but that is what I had booked for initially so my bad. I noticed that other sides of the rooms had nice view of the pool and nearby beach.

Quality us a bit lowered compared to last time when I stayed at the place. No landlune phone to call reception/room service. Above highlighted from first day but not action taken upon, When in need of small assistance/query, you have to walk a long way to reception.

The rooms, the buffet breakfast and sea view were excellent.A really holidy or business place to stay. You need to consider adding commode flush in the room toilets for proper self cleaning. This is a necessity and very important.

Lack of commode in the toilets, Some smell emnating from the gutter near the lift may be due to stangnant water. Spare beds need to be strong in case the visiting members are more.

Nice Location, Nice views, good spa/gym. karahi & Masa restaurant very good food. excellent reception staff, house keeping and other security staff. In general grounds & room well kept and clean.

The hotel charges top prices for stays but using sub standard food ingredients in some restaurants. the waiters were very slow and the service definitely not living up to English point standards in the restaurant areas. The magerita & arabika restaurant very poor quality food. some of it was disgusting and over priced.
