Well, having read the reviews, we were very worried about how this hotel would be. Happily, it was just fine for us. Nice staff, a totally adequate room, hotel looks well maintained, decent dining room. The shuttle worked fine.

I wrote to the hotel numerous times before our stay to ask how to get the shuttle from the airport, since there were no directions on their website. No one answered me, and I got my answers by going to hotel reviews. Hilton, answer your inquiries!

The instructions for getting the shuttle from the airport are a bit misleading, you need to take the regular airport shuttle (orange/white bus) that stops at several places near the airport. Also worth noting is that between 01:00 - 06:00 the shuttles come only every 40 minutes, so plan accordingly.

It was clean, central to the airport which was important to us and ideal with the shuttle taking us to the hotel. In typical Hilton standards, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were great.

Expensive but I feel they can charge that for the convenience.

Obviously a good location, with frequent free shuttle to terminals. Hilton standard of excellence, staff very friendly (and English-speaking). Room clean and well-appointed. Restaurant/bar is decent and 24-hour snack/beverage area is a plus. Minor complaints: there were some repairs being done on our floor, and there was a very strong toxic odor in the hallway in the morning; should have been properly ventilated. Shuttle driver didn’t announce any stops, and the screen in the bus is inaccurate- we had to rely on people in the know to get off at the right place for our terminal.

Very close to the airport with easy shuttle access at the entrance of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. My only real complaint would be that you could hear everything from the hall and adjacent rooms very loudly. Once it was about midnight, things quieted down. I've read many bad reviews about ripped carpet in the hallways, etc. We stayed on the 5th floor, and it seemed to have new tile near the elevator, and the carpet was fine. I would stay here again if visiting Rome for the convenience of getting to the airport quickly and easily.

It was pretty close to the airport, around 10 minutes away. It was pretty comfortable (not the most comfortable mattresses but didn't bother me) good air conditioning, a mini fridge and 3 bottles of water in the room. We had a stopover so our food bag was in the fridge and we got a good rest before continuing to our next flight. Also good air conditioning . The staff was courteous.

The shuttle is very unclear. It's in terminal 3, on arrivals level, across the street from entrance 3. It was night and we found it in the end but were too tired to continue waiting so we took a taxi for 30 euro. The shuttle back was much better because it is in the entrance to the hotel and the last stop arrives directly at departures.

Vicinity to airport

My son left his Ipad on the bed when we checked out. We found out 30 minutes later. We saw the location of the Ipad was still there. I called few times and they insist it is not there. We know it was!

The property is in a good location with a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes 24/7. The food was amazing. It was better than some restaurants we ate at in Rome. The restaurant staff are assets to the hotel. They were personable, and did not rush us after we finished our meal. Our waiters were great!!

When we first checked in the lady was rushing me to sign, sign, sign when I told her I read what I sign. She was a little rude and pushy at first but apologized after. I do think that sets the tone for the stay and for that, I would stay again ONLY if the other Hilton was booked. The halls and rooms are outdated but so the job for a one night stay. Pillows are worn.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and able to answer all questions (spoke excellent English, if you need it). The free, all-hours airport shuttle is priceless! We had a 6 am flight to catch so we returned our rental car to the airport in the evening and caught the shuttle back to the hotel, eliminating the need to get up extra early to do that. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes all night, we caught it again at 3:45 am and made it back to the airport by 4 for check in. The hotel restaurant, bar, and shop on site are excellent. They are convenient, comfortable, the restaurant menu is a little expensive but comparable to other area restaurants, with a great selection of dishes, a pleasant ambience and attentive staff. Our room was exceptionally quiet and perfectly clean, had a small fridge and a kettle for hot water for instant coffee, a safe and a TV and a small desk. The bathroom had thick, oversized towels on a warming rack, hair dryer, and full size soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion dispensers. Word about the room lights: you have to insert your room card into the card reader just inside the front door for the overhead lights in the entry and bathroom to work. Efficiency move which certainly makes sense, but if you haven't seen that before you'd just think the light switches weren't working. A sign with explanation would be helpful there.

Room seemed a little small for the price, but we wanted to just get 1 room for our 3 family members in the one room with a king size bed and a single size sofa bed (already made up for us) with a very thick & comfortable mattress for the 3rd, so we didn't have to get a second room for our very short overnight stay. Location is fantastic for the airport but we found it difficult driving from the hotel into Fiumicino or Ostia towns due to heavy airport traffic around 6 pm. About a 30 minute drive to go just a few miles.
