Not on the water but a good location for restaurants. Easy walk to main beach areas, craft breweries, and grocery store.

Could use a coffeemaker in the room, coffee was available later in the lobby.

There is a small food-truck type coffee cart with outdoor seating. The coffee was good and there are breakfast food options (think egg sandwiches), but they could use some fresh pastries, like scones and muffins. The bed was comfortable, the view was a happy surprise, and it was great to come back to an air-conditioned, cool room after walking down the main road for meals. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

Arriving at the hotel the first time was a little confusing. The lobby location is not obvious (it's on a side of the building not facing the driveway and was partially hidden by the yellow "coffee" building. We didn't see any signage indicating where it was, so we and our Uber driver ended up leaving and returning to try again. Fortunately, the second time, we saw some folks with luggage exiting the building and assumed that was where the lobby is. They need better signage.

No facility for morning tea in the room. A kettle is provided on request and we have make arrangements for tea/coffee pouches & cream.

We were at this property 10 to 12 yrs ago and had a really questionable stay. When we arrived this time it was amazingly changed …new ownership and a major renovation…this upgrade is the best we have seen in years and we are world travelers. The room anticipated all of our needs…the staff goes over and above on everything….the water station is great and we never heard a door close or the people above or any noise. Our room was chilled to the exact temperature. The refrigerator was efficient and good in space. The morning coffee puts Starbucks to shame. Parking is good and location is prime. We have been coming to Kona for 30

That our stay couldn’t be longer…our reservation across the street is not able to be cancelled. However we will return to this property again when we come to Kona.

The location is excellent -- right at the beginning of Alii drive. The pool was nice. This is not a high frills hotel, but it is nice, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants. This is a place for people who have their vacation plans and need a place to crash and shower -- and dip in the pool. Not a fancy resort. They had bikes to sign out -- and the place has a cool vibe.

It's not a resort, and we weren't expecting one. But recommend this place and would come back for sure.

Location is amazing, walkable to everything, also easy to find a spot in private parking lot. -decor & design is beautiful and modern -pool is very nice and peaceful

-bathtub is very slippery, needs a rubber pad on it, be careful -no microwave and only 1 mug -paid for a late checkout at 12:30pm and housekeeping knocked on the door at 12:15 seeming confused why we hadn't left yet, so more communication between cleaning team & front desk about late checkouts

I spent all together 9 days in this hotel. (But only one night booked by booking.com). And this is what I would highlight based on those days. 1. The staff were absolutely incredible. One example: My flights were very delayed, and my travel agency, due of information from the airline company, rebooked my room to the next day. However, I arrived very late on my originally booked day. Their first priority was to get me into a room, whatsoever. With a smile 😃. And they did it.. 🤩😃. 2. The staff once again. I’ve never encountered such a smiling staff ever, in any hotel. 👍👍 3. Morning coffee before 9am., was such a treat to a tired traveler. 4. Almost everything downtown is literally at walking distance from the hotel. 5. Rooms are very comfortable. And well air conditioned. 6. In 1st. Floor, there’s dispensers for ice cubes, and cold drinking water. 7. Last but not least. There’s such a peaceful atmosphere in this hotel. There’s more amenities they can offer as well, but that was not suitable to my needs this time.

What I didn’t like.. Very little. Maybe the $25.-/ night parking fee.

Pros: - they had free room after we had a major hickup of our apt we booked and we had to find an accomodation at 7pm for the same day - reasonable pricing - clean rooms - awesome staff, they were really friendly - moderately sized room : might not be the best for a week size wise but its good - not too expensive minibar

We stayed only one night but - notcoffee maker - coffee or tea in the room. There was free coffee from 7am - 9am in the lobby and milk - pool is small and not lighten up during evening - very expensive parking ($25/day)

The location is just in the downtown Kona area where it is basically close to everything. Plenty of food choices, restaurants, supermarkets, and tour pick-ups. I enjoyed the location a lot. Left my properties behind and the staff helped me find it!

The hotel is newly renovated but it seems that the picture shown on the website still looks better than the space. For the price point, I think it needs a little more work to match its worth.
