The staff, particularly the concierge and some of the door/bar/pool lounge staff were exceptional. The breakfast, and dinner buffet are the best I’ve ever seen or tasted. And the selection on offer insanely generous and diverse The bed was crazy comfy and the pool and drinks amazing. It’s also 10 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute walk to the souks and medina

It’s very slow service by the pool, I think because half the staff is divided into tidying/clearing/helping and the other into being waiters you can order from - you find yourself waiting and looking round for someone for a very long time and even when you go up to catch someone - they want you to wait in your seat. But they were very busy and very kind all the same The less Moroccan style food on offer on the menu (like spaghetti or pizza or poke bowl) are pretty poor, but anything more traditional was amazing

Two less then par experiences with staff. Having read all the reviews online and trip advisor, I was conscious this may been the case. For the most part at check in reception, concierge, doormen and breakfast staff were super friendly. However the pool staff weren’t helpful. We went to the pool three times during our stay, had to wave them over each time for towels, asked for umbrellas, which never came, and the worst was when we ordered food & drink and it didn’t arrive. After an hour of waiting we just left. We flagged during check out and the receptionist didn’t offer an apology. The check out receptionist wasn’t friendly or helpful either.

Great facilities just a short cab ride from the main square at the centre of Marrakech. Providing good access yet a respite from the busy city As a solo traveler the Sofitel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and supportive. In particular Rida on concierge was a great help in general and sorted out a hot air balloon trip at short notice. Boujala was very responsive at the pool lounge, much appreciated!

Nothing really although the mini bar could have been topped up more regularly!

Amazing hotel , cleanliness and comfortable

We arrived at the hotel at 8 in the evening and our room was not available considering check in was at 3 in the afternoon . Was very disappointed as we had to wait a few hours . Hotel staff friendly but had to phone a few times to remind them about services we needed. Other than that an amazing hotel and we were upgraded to an amazing room.

The hotel had a great location - even the rooms were very decent! They gave us a nice room with a balcony as my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. They were kind enough to send us a cake to the room - which we both greatly appreciated!

If I had to point out one concern for the hotel - on the last day I was slightly disappointed by the staff outside who hailed us a taxi. Their mannerisms suggested that they were only looking for a tip from us as we departed. I told them we had to go to the train station to catch our train to Rabat. They didn't listen and thank God I asked the taxi driver midway as the journey seemed longer than usual. It turned out they had told him we were going to the airport, whereas, we had to go to the train station which was maybe at most 8-10 minutes ride from the property. Thank God we made it on time, literally two minutes before our train left. I feel their staff should pay more attention to what the guests are saying and not be lurking around for tips.

The staff were amazing. special mention to Shema at reception, she was a star. Food was very good and pool was lovely.

The view of the room was a pool but was slightly less private as it was on the same level as the pool so when siting on the balcony people public could see the balcony. We could not use the pool, it was only for diamond members but weren't informed about that.

Amazing design of hotel with gorgeous interiors. The rooms were slighly impracticle as they did not have desks you could work from, therefore that was a slight negative. The pool, gym and hammam facilities were first class.

The communication from concierge was frustrating as they did not respond to a request for an airport pick up and when they did, we had already arrived at the hotel. They were apologetic but you do not expect this detail to be missed when staying at a 5* hotel.

I don't usually write comments. We travel around the world, and I have to say Sofitel Marrakech has gone beyond the extra mile in service. We were greeted and made a feel at home right away by the front desk with a sincere, lovely lady with beautiful curly hair. Morrocon tea & macaroons were served. We also have a room upgrade and they made our anniversary very special. The concierge, Mr Reda, was on top of everything- knowledgeable, excellent service, gave great recommendations, and we had a professional tour guide, Mr Joseph, and polite driver, Ayub. My husband had a good chat with them Spa: I did my nails. Nice place and v clean. The young girl is so cute, we had a good chat Our flight going back was at night time; they kindly gave an extended time. Thank you; Touria, Soukauna, Chaimaa, Saool - keep it up. Breakfast; spoiled with choices. The eggs department is my favourite because the chef sings, and he has an amazing voice, oh la la. All the breakfast staff from the host, server, and everyone were very alert and friendly. It was Eid, so there were singing from traditional musicians. Great and fun experience We tried late dinner at the Asian cuisine outdoor restaurant; good vibes, I enjoyed the food, hubby enjoyed his drinks :) Overall, we are impressed by the service. Fantastic location, great facilities. Superb lunch time restaurant by the pool. Hanane was very attentive. Fantastic evening entertainment in L’Orangerie restaurant. Our server Kabir was perfect.

The whole hotel is beautifully decorated. The Garden is nicely planned and well maintained, two heated pools and enough places for chilling. And don’t get me started with the breakfast - the selection is beyond what one could dream of.

Most of the staff was rather clueless or very distracted- talking to many guests at the same time. The room was semi clean (little details matter).
