This hotel was ideal for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room sizes as standard as like most other hotels. It is within a very short walk to the train station which will take you into central Lucerne. A journey which lasts approximately 5 minutes and as a guest of the hotel, it is free to use. We never once used our car during our stay here as there was no need to. Right next door to the hotel there are both a steak and Mexican restaurant. Also within a few minutes walk there is a small shop where you can buy some essential bits and pieces. Right next to the hotel there is also a hairdressers salon and a bike shop. If we decide to return to Lucerne we would choose this hotel again.

Room was quite big and a good compromise of business and cozy. the staff was friendly and disponible.

The place isn't a top location and the prices could be cheaper.

Location, kind staff, breakfast, tea/coffee making facilities, spacious room, comfortable bed, good night sleep, parking space. I have stayed at Ibis Zurich, Bern, and Lucerne. I would rate Ibis Lucerne is the best.

This property lacks air conditioning. However, they have provided a fan. It will be hard to manage during the hot summer. In the bathroom, it is difficult to access the hand wash soap and shower gel because they are mounted at high levels. The shower cubicle is also smal compares to other ibis.

The staff is amazing. Anthony, is an amazing host, we reached late because of flight delay and he made sure we were comfortable, the room is spacious and has all essential amenities like kettle, dryer, shower is nice, bathroom has basic toiletries. Since august is an expensive month for tourists this was the best bet, the only downside is that its a 4 minute train from main station lucern, otherwise very quiet town, best to relax and plan trips from here.

Parking underground was practical. Staff were lovely and helpful. Price was good compared to other hotels in the city.

Shower soap was outside the cubicle and not inside the shower, only shampoo.

Had a nice stay during a long weekend. Room was spacious enough to accommodate an extra bed. Breakfast had a good variety of options. The staff was nice and welcoming. There is an underground parking with a limited number of spots that is charged per night at the reception. You get free public transportation in Luzern via a code provided at the check-in.

The matrass for the extra bed was thin and our child complained it was not very comfortable.

Mattehof Station is only 2 stops from Lucerne Station and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Mattenhof Station Room size is big for 3 persons with space to open all 3 luggage If the guest completes online check-in, the hotel allows early checkin once the room is ready without extra charges.

3-in-1 type of power sockets are not useful for tourists using adapters. Room cleaning is not thorough

It was a spacious room for 3 persons. clean and cozy. No free coffee or tea facilities but we borrowed a kettle with a deposit of CHF20 and had hot drinks by our own. The luggage storage was free. After check out we explored Luzern again without our heavy luggages. (The train station cost CHF15 for XXL size locker where 3 medium suitcases can be put) The hotel provides travel cards and the train from Luzern was free.

1) It seems we can connect WiFi with max 3 devices only. It was not enough for 3 persons. I had to use my laptop and phone, but cannot connect both at the same time because other 2 persons were using WiFi. 2) The body shampoo is at the sink and not in the shower area. Need to go out and get body shampoo.

The Mt Pilatus view from our window was magnificient. The room was clean and the staff was helpful.

The walk from Mattanhor krien station to the hotel is around 5 to 7mins walk. As there is no cover along the way , you will get wet if it rains and abit dark and quiet if you return late at night. other then that all was good.

The hotel is clean. The staff is very nice. If you want to see Luzern- ask for a public transport free tickets. It's very easy and fast to get to Luzern from there.

The parking was a bit confusing. Tips: The hotel is sharing the building with other shops. If you are by car, go straight to the Media Markt parking and vidate your parking ticket before you leave at the hotel's reception.
