The hotel was great and in a good position to explore Chiang Mai. Our first time at Chiang Mai & it was amazing, absolutely loads of temples & things to see. We only visited a fraction of the places to visit in our 4 days and would definitely return. We had a smart Horizon double room with club lounge access. The room itself was lovely, clean & comfortable with views of the city & mountains. The staff in the club lounge were exceptional, especially Pat who provided loads of information & suggestions about places to visit and Nancy who worked tirelessly to serve the guests, ensuring they had what they wanted & made delicious cocktails. The lounge staff were all great actually, polite, informative & helpful but Pat & Nancy stood out to us on this visit. Breakfast was a delight with loads of choices & the pool area was comfortable too.

Very good security. Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Good range of restaurants in the hotel. We upgraded to the club package on the 11th floor which included free happy hour drinks and snacks. Good location for local markets and booking trips out to see the historic sites and temples. Great food for room service and the bar food pizza. Very safe for families. Use the grab app for taxi as on the roadside can be more expensive. Pre-book all tours and sight seeing from the hotel or the local agent down the road near the markets.

On of the three restaurants was under refurbishment near the pool so no pool drinks at the time. Need to pre-book chef tables within a day or two of arriving.

I enjoyed the Horizon Club room which was included with my suite. It made breakfast and dinner a quiet experience. The staff were always friendly and helpful

I found the ‘dinners’ (they called it Happy Hour) okay but the food wasn't exactly delicious. Some evenings, I found it hard to find a dish I really liked. It suited me as I was dining alone and not really hungry. I was glad to not be a vegetarian as those dishes were very uninspiring and unimaginative. The pool and surrounding area were very small with a very limited amount sun beds.

Everything was immaculate. Bedroom was clean, beds were comfortable. There was a big pool with a slide and jacuzzi area as well as a lifeguard! The lounge areas were nicely decorated and staff were attentive. I had a slight sore throat when I arrived and requested ginger and honey with warm water which I received without hesitation. The next day we didn't get our hotel room cleaned and the staff called to make sure everything was okay which was a nice gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel in Chiang Mai as its very close to markets too and looks so pretty from the outside.

Shangri-La is really kids friendly, the welcome candy, toothbrush and the cartoon bedsheet, the playground, so my son is super happy and don't want to leave. It is really a pleasant stay here. The breakfast is excellent too but food is the same everyday(Another hotel I stay in Chiang Mai does not have change of breakfast too). Even the decor is old in my first sight comparing with other 5 star hotels but it doesn't matter as the house is clean and the bed is comfortable.

Shampoo and conditioner quality does not meet my expectation. They do not provide disposable shaver for my husband too.

Absolutely stunning property, within walking distance of shops and night markets. The food is delicious, and the decorations are next level for the holidays. Staff were very friendly and were able to accommodate all our requests. Special thanks to Diana and all the staff involved upon check in to make sure our requests were met for the birthday and anniversary celebration. Also, recommend having the breakfast here before setting off on your adventures.

I wish I had more days to be able to explore every inch of the property and all the things it had to offer.

the staff is great. rich and tasty food offer both for breakfast and in the lounge. The pool is large and deep. Location is good.

the hotel is built in an old-fashioned style, you have the feeling that you have reached the "75th year". Carpets on the floors, which unfortunately cause a smell. a huge apartment building built next to it spoils the view

From check in to check out, the room, the view, breakfast buffet, in room dining service, the staff was very helpful and in particular the concierge Chaow and Ink were excellent. They helped me plan my trip in and around Chiang Mai which was very helpful since this was my solo trip. I highly recommend this hotel.
