The rooms are a generous size, beds comfortable & lovely & clean. Very convenient & safe to get to from the airport for a lone female traveller. Staff very friendly & helpful.

The only 'gripe' I have is that it's a card only hotel for payments. I needed to buy toothpaste & toothbrush which wasn't a problem, but i only had cash with me. Living abroad, I had to pay with my Spanish debit card which added an extra cost for using this- consequently becoming expensive for a toothbrush & toothpaste. When booking it needs to state that the hotel is 'card payments only' as some of us still prefer to use cash! Other than that, faultless.

One member of staff stood out in particular - Sophie May! I didn't like the first room offered as it had an interconnecting door but it was no problem for her to find me another. The second room was perfect. Despite being near the airport there was no sound from outside. In the first room, I could hear the neighbours almost word for word through the interconnecting door. It's great for families/parties staying together to share adjoining rooms, but I found it really intrusive, hence I changed rooms. Location is spot on, it was walking distance to the airport.

- No lift. Beware! They were very busy and it was difficult to find someone to help with my luggage. The receptionist asked several colleagues and no-one was available. One of the staff from the gym offered to help me in the end! - If you are wanting to eat make sure you check the restaurant opening times as they close food service around 9pm

Proximity to the Airport, and ability to leave the car on site, this takes a lot of hassle of ensuring you catch your flight on time

Returning after a long flight to pick up the car you have to get the ticket validated . However a simple exercise that takes seconds actually took 20 minutes. This is because the same staff validating the ticket are also responsible for booking new hotel guests in. Surely a more efficient system could be in place for those people who’s only objective is to have their car park ticket validated

Communications were excellent when talking to head office but were very poor at East Midlands with the phone not being answered. I think the room we stayed in had been refurbished since last year.My only dislike is the distance from the flight package parking and the distance from reception to our room. I am knocking 80 , and 25 kg cases and 10 kg hand luggage are a bit more difficult than they used to be. I will enquire if it’s possible to have a room a little nearer reception next time.Otherwise the hotel was exceedingly good, Thank you

Lovely hotel, bar restaurant and the closest hotel to the airport. Staff super friendly and my room was gorgeous

The hotel was really noisy at night which is to be expected with an airport hotel with people coming and going at all hours. I think I was unlucky to have 2 groups on my floor who were really loud and spent the whole night coming and going from their rooms and slamming doors. Not the hotels fault but I didn’t sleep for a moment all night and defeated the object for me of booking an airport hotel. Would stay again as I said, this was no fault of the hotel

Night Manager man was very helpful as my key didn't work. Me and my child had just got off the plane. The two men on the desk answered my questions this morning. So those staff was fantastic help to us.

The older lady who was booking and serving people this morning was quite rude to me. After answering several times about not having a booking she eventually let me and my child have breakfast. A little while later, she then sent me to somebody else when i asked for water. She just had a really bad attitude like she never wanted to be there.

Fantastic hotel, lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet room. Great facilities, didn’t get to use pool, sauna etc but had a look and definitely would have used them if we were staying longer! The food in the restaurant was delicious! Love how close it is to East Midlands airport, made our early morning flight so much more pleasant only being down the road. Definitely recommend if flying from East Midlands airport!

Genuinely cannot find a fault. Even my mum who is VERY picky couldn’t find fault!!

Spacious room. Convenient location.

Overpowering smell of air freshener in reception area which spread to the bar and corridors. It was so strong and unpleasant it made me feel sick and caused breathing problems for my daughter, who is prone to asthma. When I said this to the reception staff, the woman said she was asthmatic and it didn't bother her! She then admitted that other people had complained. Also, the bathroom extractor was extremely noisy, so we had to pee in the dark to avoid waking each other!

Excellent location, 5 mins walk from departures and car parking on site. Staff were very friendly. We ate in the bar and had a few drinks. The food was very good! Far better than we expected, to be honest. For one night, before a flight, it was excellent. We booked far in advance so price for overnight and parking also very reasonable.

If being picky, the parking was a bit tight and we struggled to find a seat in the bar as I think the restaurant was closed but, overall, nothing too much that we didn't like..

The staff are always welcoming at this hotel. The pool is lovely, small and very warm. This is one of the main reasons we return to this hotel so often. The rooms are big, nice welcoming drinks in reception, clean rooms and perfect for an airport run.

We stayed this time last year and we were able to write a letter to Santa and got a reply under our door. What a magic touch! This year there wasn't a postbox for Santa so we were slightly disappointed and mentioned this to the hotel team (our expectations were that we would have this again this year and get a reply from Santa for the little one)
