Friendly, helpful staff. Family room. Wonderful breakfast. Location. Access to fridge and microwave at reception. Restaurant options and supermarkets nearby. Info and advice about local attractions.

Room was quite cramped and small, with very limited storage. Bedside tables had no drawer for medication and small items Family room didn't have drink options and cups etc for the 2 children, only coffee and tea. No fridge. This would have been particularly useful for families and this was a family room. Double bed and sofa bed were on the smaller side. Sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. Would have preferred 1 larger double bed and to twin beds.

After getting stuck on the M1 for an hour on a Friday night we abandoned our journey for the sunlit uplands of Northampton. Everything was fine with check in and room. While scouring reviews to see what breakfast consisted of we came across the hotel’s gem - Louise - who spends evenings finding the positive in everyone’s reviews. Her glass is not just half full, it’s positively brimming over. In the face of some very negative comments the ever positive Louise just brushes them aside as she looks forward to welcoming back the most grumpy traveller. We all need to be “a bit more Louise”. Oh, and the answer to the breakfast question is that it’s everything - cereals, pastries, cooked English, fruit and yoghurt, ham and cheese, so you won’t go hungry.🤤

No plugs by the side of the bed for charging phones.

Quiet in rooms, good breakfast selection, help yourself so plenty of choice. A little expensive for drinks and service was sometimes slow with staff doing reception as well as bar. Bed was comfy but would have been better if King size as opposed to double. Bathroom and shower we're very good.

Choice of evening meal food restrictive, quite expensive. Harvester over the other side very expensive for food and nothing within walking distance of hotel, had to drive out for food in the evenings.

It was an ideal location, also Harvester in the same location. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable with 2 types of pillows, the toiletries were Dove which made a lovely change from cheap ones. The breakfast was excellent everything you could possibly want and hot. The hotel was a 10 out of 10 for us.

I can honestly say there wasn't anything I disliked about the hotel, I have stayed in various hotels which cost a lot more money and didn't receive the service we did at the Holiday inn express.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine and the bed was comfy. The room was spacious enough and clean. There was plenty of parking and it was free with your stay. There is also a restaurant across the car park which is handy.

The bathroom is dated and could do with a renovation but it is not an expensive hotel so for the price it was the best that it could be. The air conditioning leaked in my room and I did report it. There were no eggs at breakfast as the delivery did not arrive apparently which was a first at any hotel for me. And finally, nothing to do with the hotel, but just a note, the major roundabout off the freeway; I, and my GPS, found it almost impossible to navigate. I had to do three rounds just to get off it!

The room was very clean with no marks on the carpet - it looked nice and fresh. Even the bathroom looked nice and clean- no mould on the mastic which was nice.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was very poor. We paid for breakfast included and were a bit disappointed, especially my little one. Has browns were missing, pouched eggs were missing, veggie sausages were missing. When we were checking out at the reception we were asked was everything ok and I told them what disappointed us... Then surprisingly the lady sad that they had everything that in the kitchen and I just had to ask a member of staff!!! Really??? How am I supposed to know you have it in the kitchen - the breakfast is a buffet, not table service to order! Maybe if you leave a note on the tables or somewhere where everyone will see these options we could order it... Or maybe a member of staff could have told us at the beginning! Other than that everything else was ok!

My daughter and I were very impressed with the helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff. Would especially like to mention the ladies on duty in the evenings of 26th and 27th March 24. They were welcoming and remembered that my daughter was going for an interview at the University, giving great encouragement and then asking how the interview went. On the morning of the 27th, Claude very quickly ordered a taxi for my daughter and myself, so that we could get to the university without the stress of going to a park and ride. These staff members are a credit to the team. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to be back.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We were travelling from Liverpool to London and decided to stop in Northampton due to the poor weather conditions. This hotel was convenient and comfortable and excellent value. The staff are very good - very friendly and helpful - and their Team Leader Claude is particularly kind and considerate. I would recommend this hotel.

The air conditioning units in the rooms, which also serve as a heaters, could be updated but this a suggestion rather than a gripe.

We are familiar with the services provided by Holiday Inn, On this occasion, we were on route to spend the New Year celebration with family members in the North and to break the journey we arranged to have our break at your establishment, I was able to park easily, book in and register without delay, the accommodation was well appointed and to our satisfaction, as a diabetic, I was able to arrange my breakfast with ease and to continue with our journey without delay. I am sure we will use your services again in the future.

We decided to stay here as a half way point between our journey from Brighton to Huddersfield for Christmas. We were so impressed with our stay! The staff were so friendly and it was excellent value for money. These are the things we loved: - They gave you both a hard a soft pillow to choose from - The breakfast buffet was very well cooked and tasty - Lovely staff - Reasonably priced bar - We forgot our toothpaste and you could request a free mini toothbrush/ toothpaste kit at reception (along with razors, sanitary products etc) - There was a great Harvester over the road - They had a Butler button you could press to call a taxi (hotel bookings were prioritised) - Good selection of snacks in the foyer - Very good coffee - Comfy bed - Nice soap - Ironing board in the room - Spacious room with a sofa - Great shower - Free parking

The only thing I can think of is that the online breakfast menu had more options available than there actually were but this wasn’t a major problem as the selection and quality was still very good.
