The complimentary breakfast was a very nice buffet including variety of fruits, salads, cooked vegetables, toasts, croissants, rice and noodles Lao style, very fresh, the highlight for me was the wonderful noodle soup prepared at the outdoor kitchen by the loveliest of staff. Beautiful! The breakfast staff were courteous and did a lovely job. We loved sitting on our balcony in the afternoon. Very peaceful. Nice pool area. Very clean and our housekeepers were so sweet. The location was just outside the busy downtown and night market, but very walkable. We preferred to be outside the busy areas. We enjoyed our stay so much that after leaving Luang Prabang for Vientiane, we are returning to this hotel for another week, we enjoyed our stay very much! Luang Prabang is a wonderful experience and our hotel made it even better.

The hotel grounds are nice with several two story pavilions in a garden with a small swimming pool. Rooms have a terrace or a balcony and are spacious with a very nice bathroom (tub and separate shower). The hotel is on a quiet street.

For the room price I paid ($80 US per night), the quality of the room was a little underwhelming. There was a minibar with only water, there was a kettle to boil water, but no tea bags or coffee sachets. On two occasions the warm breakfast dishes on the buffet were not kept warm and were cold by 9 o'clock. On other occasions they ran out of cutlery. When I checked out, it turned out it was not possible to pay by credit card ("because the machine was in Vientiane") . Because the bill was more than US350, I didn't want to pay in cash. In the end, the receptionist struck a deal with the hotel next door, that did have a credit card machine that worked. All in all there were too many things that made me question if this hotel is really worth the price.

Location. About a 15 minute/850 meter walk to town/city center and night market. Breakfast was also satisfactory, but could use some variety.

Though not the fault of the hotel, there were frequent power outages in the area. And it occurred almost daily and at the same time of day. But my biggest gripe was that the hotel did not have the ability to accept credit card payments. We were a bit surprised by this because there was no mention of this in the booking website. And we also asked one of the staff the night before we were checking out if they can accept payment through credit card, to which he answered yes…only to be caught in surprise the next day that we can’t really use a credit card. Reception told us to go to an ATM and withdraw the payment. I would normally argue against misinformation and the lack of extra effort from reception, but since we generally had a great time in Luang Prabang, we opted to let this inconvenience pass.

The hotel seemed ok on arrival. We were due to stay her for 5 nights but unfortunately there was a very loud party going on in the property next door which went on into the early hours. Whether this was a one off a one off or a regular occurrence, we didn't wait to find out and checked out the next morning. There were also no sunbeds by the pool, when we asked about this we were told they were being repaired.

The swimming pool was clean but a somewhat soulless surroundings area. Close enough to town but suggest people stay closer.

Expensive for what they offer. Breakfast was cold at 9am. Breakfast served until 10am. No service no one to greet us at the restaurant. We were left to 2nd guess everything. Awful. We ate elsewhere after one on site breakfast. They wanted to charge for booking a train ticket -we went elsewhere to book this and other tickets The room was grubby . Mould around shower door and fridge rubbers. No dusting done for a while. Towels were old grey and threadbare. The establishment is tired and unkempt. We felt it had probably been sold so no care provided for guests as no one seemed to care. And then they burnt beyond repair a lovely lace bra of mine. They didn’t charge us for the laundry service!
