Our stay at The Nam Khan Resort was absolutely amazing from the moment we checked in until the end of our visit. We spent three wonderful nights there, and everything exceeded our expectations. The room had an incredible view, was spotlessly clean, and we adored the refreshing lemongrass scent throughout. The soothing sound of the river flowing nearby made it a true retreat for us. We enjoyed a massage by the pool since the spa and wellness centre was under renovation, but it was still a relaxing and delightful experience. The in-room dining was excellent, and the staff was extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and attentive—truly some of the best hospitality we've encountered! We were so impressed with their organic vegetable garden and the way they grow fresh produce to serve their guests. As someone who also makes and runs a soap and skincare business in Australia, I was thrilled to see they create their own natural shampoo and shower gel. It made me so proud of Laos and The Nam Khan Resort for this sustainable and thoughtful touch. There were plenty of activities to enjoy at the resort, and we hardly felt the need to leave. Although the weather was a bit cool for swimming, and the sauna was still under renovation, we had such a great time relaxing and exploring the premises. Overall, we are incredibly grateful to the Nam Khan team for taking such wonderful care of us and making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely return the next time we're in Laos! This is truly one of the most incredible places and hotels I have visited in my life ! Both my daughter (age 6) and I truly loved EVERYTHING The Namkhan had to offer. In fact, the tranquility of the surroundings, as well as the wonderful set up of the hotel (including lots of playground equipment for kids) meant that we unintentionally decided to spend a full day of our stay simply at the hotel itself. The staff is so wonderfully friendly - anticipating needs but not intrusive at all. And the food was scrumptious especially with the Farm-to-Table approach from its beautiful gardens. My daughter and I even had a go at cooking our own Laotian meal! I also can highly recommend the Namkhan Tents for those who would like a slightly different accommodation experience - both really comfortable and with a really special outdoor private space at the river. We are literally already planning our next trip to Luang Prabang just to visit the Namkhan again!

We were looking for a quiet accomodation, where we can enjoy the nature but still close to the town Luang Prabang. The Namkhan was an excellent choice. It is more expensive than most of the accomodations in the area, but it comes with a great concept of sustainability which you can see and feel everywhere - so for us it was worth the money. Good location, directly at the Namkamh and they offer some shuttles a day for free to go downtown and back. The staff was very friendly and took care about us. We felt very welcome at all time. Even when our AC was not working at night, they directly came and organised a room upgrade for us until they fixed it and gave us a transport to the trainstation on our leave free of charge as apologize.

Nothing to complain about. Just two small points which could have made it even better for us. The hair dryer in the room was with relatively low power and fixed at the wall with a short cable. This could be improved. The water in the shower has a very low pressure, which made it difficult to wash the hair. But maybe this is something hard to improve in Laos.

Breakfast was excellent. They have their own garden hence food was farm to table fresh. Clean, delicious, generous varieties and all well presented. Simply yummy! Service from the staff were par excellence. They were very accommodating and responsive to our need especially on the one night due to a thunderstorm our unit suffer a blackout and water shortage. The staff immediately open up one of their premium suite for us to shower and stay the night.

Perhaps more plugs at table level as travelers these days has many gadgets to charged. Also to improve the water pressure in the bathroom

This is a beautiful resort on a huge plot of land beside the river. The new swimming pool overlooking the river was superb. The resort is laid out with lots of amenities, games, a gym, etc. to pass the time. There are four free shuttles into and back from town every day. The staff were fantastic and catered to every need. Huge effort is also put into maintaining the resort to a high standard. The food was the best we had in Luang Prabang. The accommodation is very comfortable, ranging from affordable options to more luxurious. This resort is perfect if you want a more upmarket retreat away from the town centre.

Restful and peaceful. Amazing staff so helpful. Loved the ethos of the lodge focused on sustainability Rooms were very comfortable, clean and well.looked after and facilities were everything we needed gym, yoga, freshwater swimming pool and spa to mention a few. . Villa was luxury in the midst of nature. Lovely food very tasty and great that it offered vegan options as my daughter is vegan

Not advertised that all the activies incurred an extra charge. It would be good if this was made clear. The glampng tents do not offer air conditioning. The write up seems to suggest otherwise which was a bit of a shock..the fan wasn't sufficient. Also at night it can seem quite scary as it's dark. My friend spent one night and then moved in with me in my villa! Having said that the glamping tents were gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing buf I suspect if you stayed for a while it would become repetitive .

A calm, thoughtful resort feel without needing to brag- a focus on the natural and the environment with ease. Great food, elegant villa and delightful pool. Yoga was in a gorgeous setting. Staff so friendly and efficient. Oh and they had electric scooters to rent! Or van transport anywhere. All messages and requests to front desk via text/app were responded to very quickly. I’d I mention the beauty of the river?

Incredibly beautiful grounds, very green and right by the river. It's got a simple outdoor playground for kids but it's such a big place, even just walking around will keep your toddlers entertained.

Drinks are a bit pricey. There is a small indoor kids play area but you need to pay extra and it's expensive. The living room in the room is open which is cool but it allowed for ants and mosquitos to come.

great place in a tranquility and greenery. the river flowing next gives a relaxing feeling. people and Alexis the general manager are very accommodating making sure you have an unforgettable experience ! we stayed for Christmas dinner and evening show, which was great and crowd very friendly :)

maybe one think to take note of, hot water is not everywhere at the property. I went to a massage and coffee scrub at the spa and didn’t expect that the shower outside won’t have warm water while it was quite chilly outside. otherwise all was great!

The people especially those working in the restaurant, nothing was too much and everything possible. Mr Lan and his team in the front of house were always ready to help and did everything for us. Arranged Tuk Tuk to go to town give Alms and tickets for the train.

The location was a bit far from town and $12 was a bit excessive for Tuk Tuk for the hotel to charge! Would be great if there were few more shuttles! 5.45 last shuttle. Tents don’t have air con which can be hard at night to sleep. Pool area is a bit basic!
