An excellent central location with a stunning view from the rooftop terrace. Very clean and well equipped suite, maintained perfectly. Staff were friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Alfredo, the concierge, was always available and organised everything from taxi transfers to the maintenance of the suite impeccably. We would definitely book here for our next visit. The host Liliana was very accommodating. We arrived on an early flight and she met us at the property. We went for a free first coffee at the coffee shop next door while our room was being prepared. The room was lovely, tastefully decorated and the kitchenette very useful. The location was perfect, right in the middle of town, easy for walking everywhere. Liliana arranged for taxis for us which was very helpful.

Everything was fine.

The really helpful Alfredo contacted me prior to arrival to give us instructions on how to get there and waited for us early on a Sunday morning to take our luggage in and explain how the to get into our Room when it was ready later. He took time to show us around the property and how to get to the fantastic rooftop balcony to see the great view across Valletta harbour.

Nothing, great base for a great location.

The suites were in a quiet street but close to everything you need to see, do and experience in Valletta (though much of that is up hill and over dale)! The rooftop area has amazing views (almost as good as Upper Barracka Gardens) and often we shared it with one person or had it to ourselves. The comfort and convenience exceeded all our expectations for a short stay. Manager Alfredo couldn’t do enough to ensure our visit was memorable and relaxing.

We visited Valletta on Memorial Day weekend and the corresponding fireworks and cannon fire in the Grand Harbour were loud, but apart from that, nothing. We loved our value for money apartment.

Alfredo is a wonderful host, his communication is excellent and he sent a video explaining how to access our room, which was very helpful. He gave lots of information which was welcome even though we’d stayed in the accommodation before and been to Malta many times. The apartment was beautiful, suiting the character of the building perfectly. It is in a great location in the city, which is why we returned here. We stayed for a week over New Year and the rooftop terrace was absolutely brilliant to watch the fireworks, it’s a stunning view at any time.

We did have a few ants in the kitchen area but I should say the apartment was very clean overall. Due to the old building, there are some steep steps to access the door (ours was separate to the main building) which could be difficult for some people especially with large cases.

Located a stone’s throw from Upper Barrakka Gardens, restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walk from Triton Fountain. Rooms decorated in an “antique” style and very clean. What really impressed us was the roof terrace. Comfy couches, chairs and tables with THE most spectacular views of the Grand Harbour. Would 100% stay here again if returning to Valletta. Just book it - the photos do not do it justice!

Only disappointment was the low water pressure in the shower. Quite a few steps from street level to the lift, so not suitable for everyone, but that is the nature of the lovely old building.

This was more spacious accomodation in a great location to access places to eat, market, places of interest and public transport. Less than 5 minutes walk to a clean laundomat. Kitchen has 2 spot induction cook top, micro etc. Good size fridge. Bathroom with walk in shower. Air con is terrific as is the view from the 4th floor terrace. Special! Alfredo, the manager, makes himself available to address any issues that might arise and arranged airport transfers for us.

We liked it, but some may not......the restaurant next door has live music Friday, Saturday (and a Wednesday, when we were there) night until 11pm.

Excellent communication from host Alfredo before and after arrival. Advised us Notte Bianca festival would be taking place on our arrival and this was one of the many highlights of our trip. Host organised taxi transfer to and from airport at very reasonable price. Loved the decor of apartment, the shower, the location and very convenient to have the Bagel Hole and Asti bistro on the doorstep…. both were excellent … especially recommend the ftira tuna and bigilla. Nice touch to have complimentary coffees at the Bagel Hole which we enjoyed on the rooftop with our delicious bagels. Host helpfully stored our luggage after checkout due to a late flight which was appreciated.

Very little to complain about. Some building work ongoing next door but this did not detract from our stay and was beyond the control of host.

I can add a little about its location, facilities, cleanliness, convenience, and so on, as other reviewers have already commented enough. Trust us. Everything is perfect. If you are considering which city you are staying, choose Valletta. It is filled with historical icons and has an otherwise unattainable atmosphere. Staying inside Valletta and going everywhere easily is a privilege. In particular, staying at beautifully-arranged Sally Port Suites like a local is like no other. We loved the terrace on the 4th floor where we dined several times. The people who manage this hotel are lovely. Alfredo sent me attentive messages with WhatsApp throughout my stay. It seemed to come from his compassion for making his guests in an unfamiliar place feel comfortable, not from a business mind. When I experienced trouble with a white taxi and shared my sadness with him while messaging him about another matter, he replied almost immediately with warm and comforting words as if he were a real friend talking to me, genuinely heartfelt. I could have hated Malta because of this taxi, but on the contrary, his kindness turned it around. A tip for Sally Port Suites guests: never take a white taxi that says TAXI in black letters. On my return from Mdina, I used that type of cab because it had a sticker with a credit card symbol on the window. But when I arrived, the driver said that the machine was broken and he only accepted cash. When I said I didn't have enough cash, he took me to an ATM for withdrawal. I had no choice, which made me feel terrible and humilitated. I also heard that other tourists were forced to pay more than the negotiated price. Use Uber or Bolt. Room service twice was included free of charge during my 5-night stay, and he also helped me with suitcase storage after check-out. Both were really appreciated. If I am to venture to say something, the microwave oven is set a little too high because I am only 154cm. I had to use a chair when I placed two bowls in it.

The accommodation was excellent. The host was very helpful and communicated all of the information regarding entry to our apartment and details of recommended restaurants and bars and things to do. Alfredo could not have done more to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. He also arranged pick up and drop off to the airport via taxi. The room was very clean and comfortable and it was great to have kitchen facilities. We also loved the location in the heart of Valletta. Easy walk to the local attractions and bus terminal. I would highly recommend Sally Port suites and will definitely be back.
