It's exceptional as it's elegant but understated. It has a lot of charm, and from the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you're in a beautiful refuge. It's not trying to be hip or, worse, be some club. If I want to go out dancing and hang out at a bar, I will go. But who wants to navigate with their luggage through a nightclub scene? It's just weird. I don't want to walk into the lobby hotel and feel like I've just entered some hyped-up single scene. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and they have a relaxing feeling because their decor does not shout at you. The bathrooms are large, and so are the tubs, so you want to indulge in a soak. Or go up to the terrace on the roof and look around at all the historic sites. But that is something I don't understand. They have this fantastic roof with a view up and down one of the main historic thoroughfares, overlooking the ruins of the Opera house; why not have a bar up there? It's extraordinary because it's like the owners lack imagination. After all, they have this incredible building, yet they need to learn how to bring it up to the next level and bring it to life. Yes, it's a place where you want to relax and unwind. It's in the middle of everything, but at the same time, once you walk through the doors, you feel secluded in a great place. The staff is incredible; they're very knowledgeable and personable and treat you like your guest, not just a number. That is what made my stay. The only downside is also that the restaurant is closed in the evening, which must be addressed. They used to have a popular restaurant but have yet to take advantage of their location. Suppose they had some tables outside and offered something casually elegant. I think many people would want to sit there instead of in some tourist trap. It's just a prime location for a meeting spot.

Our room was beautiful and very clean. The hotel lobby was lovely and the staff very helpful.

The noise early morning from the street. Not the hotels fault but we looked over the main street. Also breakfast was ok but need to have a buffet so guests can help themselves. No bar.

From the minute we arrived to the time we left all the staff were incredibly charming, attentive and kind, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The hotel manager Moul shared many useful tips and recommendations which really added to the enjoyment of our time in Valletta. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed, luxurious bedding, plenty of storage space and a well equipped bathroom. Breakfasts (not buffet) were freshly cooked and delicious with enough choice not to become boring, even though we stayed a week. The roof terrace seating area looked very inviting, but unfortunately for us it was too cool and windy to use it this time. What a great location for a hotel too…….very central but quiet (being on a pedestrianised street)

Firmer pillows would be better as a personal choice. Taxi driver found it hard to get to, but one phone call to the concierge sorted it out straight away. Have to park close by and walk through the pedestrian area as cars are not accessible.

Excellent location, being in the center of old town. breakfast and services is great, they have very good breakfast menu option and the breakfast room is beautifully decorated. Beautiful lobby. Reception and check in is smooth and well managed. Thank you so much for the welcoming champagne!😊

The guest room is a little too small for 3 people, we have the “Premium Suit” with king bed above the living room. But we understood that this is an old residential building and have limited space to design around it.

The history and architecture of the hotel were stunning, I would even say jaw-dropping. The staff was amazing, always took the time to check in, and make sure we were comfortable and needed any help or recommendations. They always greeted us with a smile! The location was brilliant. It is very central, so even if you want to explore the rest of the island, Bolt/Uber and bus stops are right around the corner.

The breakfast was delicious, we just wished it was a bit more diversified... After 10 days, we felt we were always eating the same thing over and over, no matter how well-cooked 😅

Everything was wonderful, the hotel was very comfortable, beautiful, clean, they cleaned the room every day, the room was wonderful, very beautiful furniture, they were greeted very warmly and cordially, it was my husband’s birthday and it was very pleasant when they turned on music for breakfast in the morning and congratulated my husband on dessert, and then it was ours at the hotel another surprise awaited us, wonderful wine, wonderful staff, wonderful attitude, great many thanks to all the staff, if we return in the summer, and apparently we will definitely return, we will only stay in this hotel and I advise everyone, you can’t go wrong

Location is perfect, right on the Republic Street of Valletta. The Hotel is a very beautiful palace, with great interiors. The ambience is amazing, lovely breakfast and above all a very helpful staff.

When you filter places with parking in Valetta on Booking, it shows that Domus has a parking, and it has valet. But this is not the reality. There are only public parking spaces from a 5 min walking distance, always with many ramps involved. And there is never availability! The 5 days we stayed there only once we got an available parking space and we received a fine because without no yellow painting signs, apparently it wasn't allowed to park there. The nearest parking is a 10 min walk, again with many ramps for those with mobility issues, which is very uncomfortable and made us realize that it would've been better to order ubers instead of renting a car when staying at Domus. The location of the Hotel is very convenient, but not for car use.

The location is unbeatable, and all of the staff without exception, were friendly and helpful. I felt like a special guest, and that they genuinely cared about my experience. The location meant that I could easily go in and out of my room to unload purchases or freshen up before heading out for more touring. Despite being in the hustle/bustle, it was very quiet inside like an oasis of personal attention. For the season, it was also terrific that the A/C worked very well. The rooms are very well appointed and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom and nice to have a desk. Breakfast was very good - not a buffet, which I prefer. I enjoyed staying in a property with 45 rooms, and so much individual attention.

The room was really nice and spacious. Lots of room for luggage and to spread out. Great that they provide water every day and also turn down service. Breakfast was included in a nice room off the lobby. Umbrellas also available (it rained once) which was very handy, though they are not in the best of shape, probably due to the wind. The staff was fairly helpful. Great location and helpful maps on check in. The roof deck was a nice place to relax towards the end of the day (would be even better if they served drinks up there!)

The last morning there was a family next door and the crying child was a bit too easy to hear. Also, I was told on check in that I could get assistance getting a ride I needed a couple days later, but the evening before I needed it, the different person on the desk said "just get an Uber" which at the time of day I needed it (fairly early in the morning) took a while to get.
