Hotel is fantastic. Facilities are great. Beautiful beach. Lovely gym, sauna, jacuzzi. Definitely a proper 5 star hotel. Feels like you in paradise

The hotel is isolated and very far from shops restaurants etc and I feel they take advantage of that and really over charge ridiculously on soft drinks, meals etc (for example a coke is 10 times the price you would pay in a supermarket . I understand and accept that you will pay more at a 5 star hotel but that is just a rip off. In hindsight I should however have done my homework properly and calculated if half board or all inclusive would be a better option. NB I am from South Africa so our currency is very weak and prices might not be that crazy if you are from Europe or USA

A very good hotel; great pools; great dining options when included in the room rate.

Difficult and expensive to travel outside hotel due to very high taxi prices charged by the hotel (best to arrange taxi directly with some local companies/drivers); nothing can be visited outside the hotel by foot. Quite poor and very expensive dining options for eating if breakfast/lunch/dinner not included in the room rate.

There were 2 things that we really liked. We were unable to secure a snorkeling slot as everything was booked. However, deputy manager Ashwin helped us securing a slot. Similarly, chef Vikram helped us in customising vegetarian food for us during breakfast as the options were limited at the counter. Both of these gestures really told us that the management cares.

I think vegetarian options at the breakfast can be increased. Given maurituis is an island, I was surprised to not find fresh coconut in their menu. I think this basic thing should be included.

Upon arrival, staff were extremely welcoming and ensured our check-in was smooth. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with a great view. We really enjoyed the special welcome note displayed on the television - very thoughtful. The buffet selection was incredible and by far one of the best I have encountered. Loved the variety of food each night. The most memorable experience being the snorkeling trip that we did on both days. The water was super clear and we really enjoyed exploring!

The way half-board was set up was not very useful. The hotel gives you a specific amount of credit to use at each restaurant but the cost of meals meant that your choices were extremely limited. We ended up not eating at any of the other restaurants.

there was very limited restaurant availability. also the boathouse had limited options for eg. snorkelling- all of the trips were fully booked. we were at the hotel for five nights, but nothing available for our family of three which was disappointing

The food was very good, even the buffet was better than expected - fresh, delicious and something for everyone. The Indian and Mauritian cuisine was particularly fantasist. the service was excellent, the staff were genuinely very friendly and attentive, the beach was stunning, overall nice amenities/facilities, lots of activities available for the whole family. Would highly recommend it and would come again.

Although there are signs on the beach umbrellas against this behaviour other guests would “reserve” them by placing towels and belongings earlier that 6:30am (probably even the night before) and they were unavailable even though almost nobody was sitting there until after breakfast. There really should be an attendant handing out towels and beach umbrellas and removing belongings if nobody is there for more than an hour.

The location was really nice. It was our first time to the Mauritius so we can't really compare but we met several groups of people that know the island well and always come back there. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, well kept up and the staff were excellent. The 4 restaurants were never a disappointment and, although expensive, were of really great quality. They even had several specials meal nights that were out of this world (the sake/wine paring for example). There are a ton of included activities like skiing, snorkling and golf!! My favorite vacation and we'll definitely be going back. The few extra perks: welcome drink, beach bag left in the room, they pick you up in the room with a golf buggy to take to the other end of the resort if you need, cookies in the lobby etc....plenty of these little perks make it even better.

There were a few VERY small frustrations that are think are mentioned in other comments as well (pool bar and pool closing early for example) but nothing too major. Overall a wonderful stay.

Top class facilities: beautiful pools, great gardens, and delightful to watch and walk in the village Private beach is wonderful, lot of sunbeds, white sand, very quiet and peaceful The breakfast buffet is amazing, definitely recommend taking breakfast included when booking Staff is numerous, friendly, helpful and all speak at least 3 languages (french / english / creole). You get help very fast. Nice live music at the bar at night and great cocktail bar.

They made us wait 1h30min post check-in time, before giving us our room because of some issue. It was excruciating after such a long journey to get there. Shouldn't happen in a five star hotel. I must precise they offered lunch in compensation, which was a nice gesture. The taxis in front of the hotel, or the transportation service offered in general are a rip off, at least three time the local price. Definitely better to book via other taxi websites. A bit difficult to get a reservation for the restaurants if not 3 days ahead. And only option without reservation is the buffet, which is very expensive.

The beach and the area of the resort was really amazing.

I did not expect a 5 stars resort to charge us for everything such as an espresso or natural water in buffet. The staff was very nice and kind indeed, however, we found a bit strange that they were knocking on the door every day in the evening - sometimes even deliberately entering, only to ask if we need to change anything (towels, etc.)

The resort is wonderful, key highlights are: - superb beach, very clean, limited outside vendors, great boathouse activities, beautiful sand, very quiet - kids club: a great time for the kids, the staff are amazing, very engaging and safe - dining especially at La Spiaggia. The main restaurant is a nice buffet with different cuisine every day. Deerhunter is not great. The in-villa barbecue was outstanding! - the heated pool in the villa. Water temperature was perfect despite chilly weather. - Preetam, our butler, went above and beyond every day, he made our stay exceptional. He catered to all of our requests and treated us like family.

- the bed is not comfortable - the design of the villa living room has openings at the top which allow a lot of lizards and insects to come in. One day a cat came in from the opening at the top.
