This is a very good, high quality hotel in Tlaquepaque. It is walking distance from the main strip of shopping and restaurants and El Parian. The breakfast which is included was good and suitable but small (fruits, yogurt and oatmeal). For an extra $100 pesos, I had the red chilaquiles with eggs which was exceptional dish, equal to what you could get at any of the restaurants nearby for cheaper than what you would get at the restaurants. The hotel is very nice, has a pool and is very comfortable with high quality linens, comfortable beds and nice well- appointed rooms. The bathroom was also nice, with good quality soaps and shampoos, etc. The Wi-Fi, safe and secure and the air conditioning worked well. Overall, no complaints. It's an excellent hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

We travel to this area often and have stayed in many hotels in the area. Dex is new, just opened in April. The location is super convenient, we had parking at the hotel and the decorating and the rooms exceeded our expectations. Perhaps though the very best part of our stay was because of the staff. They were friendly, helpful and more than went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. The Dex is our hotel of choice now when we are in town. Great job. You should be proud of yourselves.

HOTEL DEX IS A GEM!! Located in Tlequepaque, a neighbourhood adjacent to Guadalajara, Hotel Dex is a brand new hotel, the best option in our opinion. Situated on a relatively quiet street immediately next to colourful main Independencia Avenue. Our room (205) was spacious with a large state of the art bathroom. Bed, bedding and pillows were particularly comfortable. Most attractive is the balcony overlooking the pool offering the option of sleeping in a quiet environment with a screened door for fresh air or using individual A/C. Additional assets are wooden floors and marble tiles, particularly minimalist design, even and acceptable water pressure and hot water. At breakfast, coffee, fruits and muffins are included in the room fare. Paula, responsable for welcoming and hosting (speaks English) and Carlos, responsable for other services, were very welcoming, professional and always eager to help. The other staff was also interested in providing good service.

Tlequepaque is advantageously situated at only 6 metro stations from Guadalajara Centro historico on new metro Linea 3 that also takes you to Zapopan. The only drawback is that the metro station (Tlequepaque Centro) is at 20min walking distance from Hotel Dex and nearby Tlequepaque main attractions. This can be overcome by using Uber for only a few pesos. If one absolutely needs to criticize this hotel then perhaps the addition of a fridge and a security box in the room could be an asset if such is important for you.

After issues with another hotel located in the historic centre of Guadelajara, we decided to stay at this hotel instead. We were so glad we did. Tlaquepaque is charming with many free cultural events. The Dex Hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the zocalo, yet the hotel is quiet. The staff were ever so helpful.

The rooms have no character. The hotel needs to make an effort to complement the artsy character of Tlaquepaque. Perhaps some contemporary Mexican art?

comfortable rooms, excellent location with a variety of restaurants nearby

we were only there 1 night and had to leave early next morning, so we didn’t get to utilize the pool. Also, because we left early, I don’t think they were ready with the included breakfast. we got a bowel of minimal fruit and yogurt, plus 2 cookies. the coffee was free but I had to pay for my daughter’s orange juice.

Excellent New modern hotel - location was perfect very close but decently away from central Tlaquepaque - walked everywhere and several great dining options to try. I will be back here and this hotel as soon as I can find more time. Rasiel was outstanding in providing outstanding customer service.

Some TV issues with the feed - but I did not spend much time in my room !!!

The hotel was in a great location and about 1/2 block from everything we wanted to see. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.

The only thing negative we can say about the hotel was that our room was on the street side. It gets very noisy at all times of the day. The only quiet time was around 2-5 A.M.

Very clean, nice room and comfortable bed. The location is great and the staff is truly friendly, helpful and available.

Despite information to the contrary, the parking is on the street or nearby private facility. It was a bit noisy (we heard the blender at the bar several times) but not bad, and and street noises were not a problem.

a couple of other guest staying there were very loud and disturbing but staff was very apologetic about the guest actions and made sure our stay was still enjoyable.
