Very quiet place, employees are extra nice ; breakfast is included though very simple. Nice pool area

I booked a room with a view on the lagoon (over 70 euros...) to hear that there were none available upon arrival ... Staff is nice but manager not the same. Do not bother booking for a lagoon view as you will probably not get it on a short stay. It will save your money Bathroom tap was leaking a lot but I only stayed a night so except from this all perfect.

We were in room 3, unfortunately it seems there is a drainage problem which caused a strong foul smell to fill the bathroom and subsequently main room if door left open. After cleaning on day 1 they used a product which covered it, but after a day it had returned. This should be repaired or fixed.

We had a wonderful stay at this modern and comfortable hotel. The interior was very clean, and our room was not only cozy but also came with a beautiful lake view, which we really enjoyed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The location was excellent, as it was close to the center yet still peaceful. We also appreciated the hotel’s lovely pool and the decent breakfast that was provided each morning.

The only downside was the presence of pigeon nests right outside our room on the roof. The birds were quite loud, and unfortunately, they left droppings on our terrace, which was a bit unpleasant. However, the owner was very understanding and assured us that the area would be cleaned after our stay. They also kindly covered the cost of the beers we had during the day, which was a thoughtful gesture.

We loved the location and the staff was great! We also thought the hotel was a great location and very nice. Our room was very dark and located so we couldn’t open the curtains. We were provided with a reading light which made all the difference and should be in every room!

The front deck needs more shade options for breakfast and when we move to shade to finish our coffee we were asked by the staff to leave to accommodate other guests… we were not happy about that. Our biggest complaint was the pool does not open until 11am so a morning swim was not an option when it was very hot! Very disappointing and poor timing on the part of the hotel. The pool should be open by 9.

We recently stayed at Sun Ha Bacalar and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, providing easy access to all the beauty Bacalar has to offer. The staff were incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property itself is well-equipped with all the amenities you could ask for, making it a truly comfortable and convenient place to stay. The highlight for us was the amazing pool, which offered a refreshing escape and a stunning view. If you're looking for a lovely place to stay in Bacalar, Sun Ha Bacalar is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

I loved the position: just few minutes away from the main square, and literally in front of the public pier to swim in the lake! you can basically walk out in your swim suit and dive directly in the lagoon. There is a pool, but I did not need to use it because the lake is just there... The hotel has also a wonderful terrace with hammocks to chill with the lagoon view. I was working out there in the morning. Wifi and water available.

Breakfast was quite repetitive and only rarely there were more international options (pancakes), otherwise it was eggs, tortillas and beans, that for long stays are a bit too much.

Great location, close to center and all the nice restaurants and bars. The view from the room and balcony was amazing on the lagoon!! Bed is super big and comfy, also has a big tv with Netflix (for rainy days, if any, we had one). Nice pool with wide sunbeds. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty too, sufficient amount.

Some small details were lacking: No hand towels; wifi never really working; there are birds above the balcony and I don't recommend drying towels on balcony chairs as they can poo on it, but the birds were cute actually!! :) Noise from the street during night can be disrupting the sleep (take earplugs just in case) Very small things, we were satisfied overall

The double rooms are all as beautiful as photos show. The location in front of public River access is awesome.

No daily room cleaning or changing towels (but I guess you can ask for that in reception). Our room had poor WiFi because it was the farthest from the router. The breakfast is ok, you get coffee, fruits, agua fresca and eggs. If you ask for menu you’ll get a wider selection (i.e. chilaquiles), and you’ll see that you can get frijoles with all eggs. Also, you need to ask for tortillas to get some. Those are minor problems though, would pick the same hotel I’m back in Bacalar.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. Double bed which was comfortable with a nice bathroom hot shower. Window view overlooked trees and the front of the street. The pool area was modern and very pleasant with nice tree lighting, and comfortable cousin chairs. In some areas, there were plugs for charging. Slight view of the lake. Close to convenience store, and 5 min walk into town. The staff was very accommodating with bags and taxis. Breakfast of fresh juice, coffee, and choice of omelet, fresh waffles, and fruit made well. Nice area to sit and eat or relax to read.

The wi5 was iffy. Stairs, but they would help with bags.

Fantastic location, beautiful rooftop patio to relax during the day or evening, and very comfortable room. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely and had lots of seating around it. The breakfast was good and had a few options. It's a short walk to the center square (6 mins) and we always felt very safe. It's directly across from the pier / main dock area with public access to the lagoon. The rooms had a safe and fridge in it, as well as good air conditioning, and the showers had hot water! Highly recommend!

The room smelled a bit musty....but I have come to expect it in a tropical climate...
