Far enough away from the main Oceanside streets if you’re not into the tourist thing like me. Half block away from el Mercado centro where you can get fresh meat and fish, fruits and vegetables or have breakfast and lunch at the numerous little booths and restaurants. Check in was simple at the Pharmacia. Two locked security gates at night made you feel safe but I never felt threatened ever in Cozumel. Refrigerator is a mandatory and mine was nice and cold for water or whatever. They had a community kitchen to make food but I didn’t use it. Looked fairly complete with cooking utensils as I saw people cook. Met the owner and introduced myself. That’s always a pleasure to meet your host. Nice man. Btw. Go to the Mango Cafe down the street. Say hello to Gabriel and Jessie. Excellent little cantina and restaurant.

Only thing was you are in a beautiful courtyard with plants and flowers and that means water. The no see ums or tiny mosquitoes bit me up. I must say for some reasons the bugs come at me so when in my room I had it out with interlopers. It’s a tropical island so it was a minor inconvenience. I survived and had a great time. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a great price at a great location. The clientele seemed like 20-40 yr olds but I was a 58 yr old solo man traveler and fit in just fine.

Really nice and helpful host. Can help you with tours and free bicycle rental! Upgraded my room for free as he had the studio spare. Can help you book activities/tours. Let me leave my bag with then after I checked out and still hire a bike. Amazing AC, big shower, self-catering facilities in the room and another communal kitchen (microwave, fridge, small stove top). Really good wifi. Enjoyed my stay

The owner Manuel is amazing. He seems to love interacting with new people, and is very passionate about his island. He's a wealth of knowledge and was keen to help ensure we had the best genuine information to aid our stay on Cozumel. The free bikes provided are an absolute godsend. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without the freedom they provide. It was one of the main reasons be booked here. The rooms are simple, clean, and the beds are really comfy. Whilst we didn't use it, it seems the communal kitchen area is well stocked with everything you'd need to cook for yourself in a clean environment.

Whilst we were happy with our stay, the property could definitely do with some maintenance. The whole place seemed like a work in progress. Properly finishing/repairing/replacing doors/flyscreens/electrical sockets would make the room feel more complete. It would benefit the owner I guess, as he'd probably be able to charge more for the accommodation as well. Whilst it's not bad, the place just seems incomplete.

Comfortable beds, great location, nice patio! We stayed here a week for diving and slept really well, could enjoy warm showers, and walked daily to the local mercado around the corner. The cleaning lady is around daily and the owner was easily reachable by phone. Would recommend this to any couple, friends, travelbuddy's, etc, who are looking for a relaxed getaway just a few blocks from the touristic parts.

With just a few extra facilities, the kitchen would be more usable for cooking. For us it was a bit limited, so unfortunately we had to eat at the many nice local restaurants ;-)

The location is fantastic and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. they have bicycles that you can use for free with just leaving a 500 peso deposit. It had exactly what I was looking for:. some beds, a bathroom, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, dishes, pans, cups and a provided drinking water supply.

Let's be honest about what it is. some peeling paint, Some lights were missing bulbs (the friendly staff did get some), the towels had stains. It's a bit run down. BUT, for a CHEAP place to stay 3 blocks from the ocean it was fantastic. The entrance is not well marked and you go to the pharmacy next door to deal with staff (get room key, rent bicycles etc)

Manuel (the owner), was the most incredible person we have met so far on our 5 week trip in Mexico traveling, he really made our stay! Manuel was so kind, always made sure we were settled and happy. we got to use amazing mountain bikes for free around the island and he told us all the best places to visit. we extended our stay because it was so homely and we (us 3 girls) felt very safe staying there. there’s a beautiful courtyard garden outside the rooms and in a great location on the island near everything. The beds were very comfortable and the room overall was very clean with air conditioning, tv, fridge, table and en-suite bathroom. it is a hidden gem of the island! India, Phoebe and Alexandra :)

nothing we didn’t like - it was perfect!

They let me set up my hammock in the garden to chill, They also lent me a bike the whole week which was very generous. The room was very clean , shower was hot and location was ideal. I loved how quiet it was so when I wanted to be on my own I could relax .

I was very comfortable honestly. Maybe they need to paint the walls because as it s a very humid climate you can see the humidity in the walls but it is just for decoration. A side bed light would be nice at night.

Amazing staff, especially the owner Manuel, who went above and beyond to help us with getting around the island and ensuring that our stay was great :) Good location, great facilities (including kitchen area and BBQ) and excellent Wi-Fi. I would highly recommend this place for all types of travellers.

Manuel is super friendly and helpful. The hotel offers great bikes (way better than the ones at the shops!). The location is also very good, right next to the central market and to all the restaurants. Since the rooms are inside a patio, you do ot hear the noise from the streets. Great value for money.

The water in the shower wouldn't drain properly, leading to a little bathroom flood after showers. The rest was just fine.

The owner is really nice and helpful. It is very close to the centre but in a calm and peaceful neighbourhood. The kitchen has everything we needed. The biggest plus is the option to rent bikes only for a returnable deposit. Great value! PS: some reviews mention mosquitoes - there was Raid plugged into the socket as soon as we arrived. There were still some mosquitoes but not an excessive amount.
