Everything! Room 18 ocean view room amazing. Nice beach. Big room. Comfy bed. Coffee maker. Great staff. So quiet & peaceful. Good food. Cool pier. Good kayaks. Beautiful spot. Walkable to many restaurants. Walkable to a cool cenote. We loved our stay.

Everything was great. Maybe some new cushions on the couch in room 18. Kayaks were awesome but rocky beach below. So beautiful tho.

The staff was helpful and made us feel very welcomed. We loved that it was away from the noise and activity in town. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had an ocean view from our balcony. There's a fantastic little grocery store a couple of doors down the street with a restaurant next to it.

This has nothing to do with the Cielo Maya staff they recommend that I arrange a rental car when I reserved the room. Please do so, the taxi drivers price gouge tourists to the extreme. You'll save a lot of money in the long run and have flexibility if you want to do anything in town.

Beautiful views of the sea from a spacious and comfortable room. Loved the large windows and the balcony, waking up to sea views was amazing. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi bathtub! The food was also pretty good, albeit a bit overpriced (like all of the touristy parts of Tulum, really). There was free access to snorkel equipment, kayaks and SUP which was great. And I loved the hammocks! The staff were also really friendly and helpful.

There was a freestanding shower in the bathroom, which didn’t work. The hot water also wasn’t very hot. I also found the car rental and massage rates to be very expensive. I had to take a taxi from the ADO station and it was eyewateringly expensive - would be good if the property provided a shuttle service (at a reasonable price).

Cielo Maya is a beautiful property. It allows an elegant, smaller experience to the larger super properties. Everyone on the staff is helpful and friendly and looking forward to making your stay great. Candy, Beimar, Santos and Frederico were great! The location right on the glistening blue Carribean is amazing. The beach set-up has a variety of areas from umbrellaed lounge chairs, beachy- type beds, cool huts with beanbag chairs to hammocks on the pier. You can kayak and paddle board too. There is also a beautiful infinity pool that looks out onto the water. Cielo Maya was truly a wonderful find.

It's a little out of the way, but one can hire cabs to take you into other areas of Tulum. The road in is pretty choppy but I don't think that's in Cielo Maya's arena to change.

The pool was excellent, in the shade and convenient to our room. The food was good although a little expensive. The size of the room was very good and we had plenty of space to move around. The room was clean and well serviced.

You need to install a lift. When you have heavy case it is difficult to carry it up two flights of stairs. No souvenir shops or choice of other restaurants - you are forced to eat at the resort for all meals. The road into the resort was very poor - it was so bumpy. It was so bad that the taxi driver wanted more money from us because of the poor condition.

The room and double bed were spacious and extremely confortable ; staff were lovely and helpful; breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of choices; amenities in room was generous; AC and water pressure in the bathroom were terrific and entertainment channels ( Netflix and Prime vedeo ) were perfect for to chill after an active day.Overall, my husband and I had a very pleasant and memorable stay at Cielo Maya . We would certainly recommend this place whilst in Tulum. Candy in reception was remarkable as well as Ronaldo in the restaurant.

Changing of towels was not very consistent. Sometimes we had a full set as when we arrived and sometimes not when cleaning the room. We certainly did not ask for the towels to be changed everyday. However, if you ask reception , they would provide what you need.

Cielo Maya is a very nice hotel boasting big rooms with large windows and a well-maintained private beach. There is also a pontoon with hammocks from where you can go snorkeling (the water is very shallow, yet we saw a great variety of species including a stingray). You can borrow the canoes (single or double) and snorkeling equipment. Overall it was a very relaxed and pleasant stay.

The breakfast could be improved with more choice and more care in the preparation. The hotel is in a new hotel area, far from Tulum center. You need a car or a taxi to go out. Also there is no road to get to the hotel, just a bumpy dirt road with puddles.

Great hotel, great location, nice staff! If you're looking for a quiet place, far from the busy, noisy and overly pricy Tulum Zona Hotelera, this is the place :) We were very happy with our stay, the size of the room and bathroom, beach view, service, breakfast... The architecture of the hotel is also good to look at. They are also eco-friendly, which we really appreciated. Room service is available. Breakfast is served from 7-11AM. Food and cocktails are good. And again, you only hear the sound of the waves, which makes it a VERY tranquil place. I recommend having a car though as the place is far from everything and the taxis are not worth it (one trip to downtown Tulum is around 40$). Highly recommended!

Floor of the room could have been cleaned better. Staff has a limited English proficiency, but still ok to communicate and they are very friendly. Massages were unfortunately over priced (270$ for 2 for 50min deep tissue) - you can get it elsewhere. Also good to note: the beach is rocky, nothing terrible as the hotel provides kayaks. It's a fun activity to do to reach a further spot and jump to swim there.

Beautiful new facility on the beach with infinity pool. Has about 20 clean and spacious modern rooms with big travertine bathrooms. The staff is welcoming, cheerful, friendly and speaks English. This is in a gated beach earea north of Tulum on a strip with private houses and some other hotels. Cenote with scuba facility a short walk away. Breakfast and parking included. Great value as we were there in the shoulder season - early June. We explored the Tulum Maya Ruins, the town of Tulum and the tourist Hotelera Zone of beach clubs, shops and resorts a few miles south as well as the Nature Biosphere further south by rented car (I recommend EasyWay}.

Don't expect to be able to swim in the ocean when the waves are up as (and this is true all along the coast) there are many rocks and boulders just under the surface. You'll need transportation (there are always plenty of taxis) or book a tour to go shopping or to go anywhere.

The beach was great! Not perfect for swimming but to look at gorgeous. The room was large with all the amenities I need which include a coffee maker and a bathrobe. I loved the special touch of the soaps and shampoos too!

I must admit it is quite far from Tulum. But, there are plenty of restaurants near by if you are staying just a few nights. If you are staying for more than a couple of days, a car would really be helpful. Taxis are very expensive in Tulum. More than $100 USD to get from Tulum airport to the hotel.
