The location is excellent- right in the middle of everything. The is building probably more than 100 years old, but everything has been refurbished. The high ceilings, large windows, and the overall size of the room were very nice. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Though we were on the third floor and we could hear the live music from a restaurant below, the band stopped playing about 10:30 p.m. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. I highly recommend it.

This may not apply to all travelers, but we arrived by car during evening rush hour, so we needed to unload our baggage quickly at the front door with our hazard lights on. We received help from the porter and then he rode with me to the hotel's safe (and free) overnight parking lot, which is three blocks down the same street. Nothing about that unloading and parking experience was bad, but I do think you might want to mentally prepared for it if you, too, are arriving in a vehicle.

Great location, right in the centre of Merida. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The handle of our bathroom came a bit lose our first night, the owner made sure it was fixed the next day. We requested a quiet room and they made sure we were given one. The service in this hotel is excellent, I can very much recommend.

There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the windows couldn’t be opened so the room smelled a bit after 2days. We could only vent the room by leaving the door open for a while while we were in the room which is not ideal. Would be something to improve upon.

The location was superb with restaurants, bars, shops, and a small plaza a few steps away. The main Plaza and Cathedral is one block. The room was large but sparsely furnished. My room was interior opening onto the coutyard and was really quiet - no street noise. Good black out curtains. Wifi was good - I could do a Zoom meeting. The room was really inexpensive.

When I arrived they assigned me room right off the reception area, up some strange steps. I said I couldn't do that room and they did give me another. I had chosen the hotel for its elevator. I wish they had a deadbolt or even a sliding lock on the door in addition to the door knob lock opened by an old time room key. I would have loved some kind of decoration on the plain drab walls.

We were allocated a room overlooking one of the city's main thoroughfares for the first night but found the traffic and nearby-bar noise too loud to sleep soundly. However, we asked if it was possible to move rooms the next morning and the reception staff were very accommodating, moving us to a room in a much quieter location, so well done! It also had two double beds, rather than one, which was nice. The only downside was a less-than-efficient shower which failed to direct a consistent jet of water. Overall, a pleasant five-night stay in a brilliantly-located hotel only a block away from the city's main square with all its attractions.

The location was great, right in the center of Merida. The room was big and the two beds we had could easily accommodate 2 persons each. It’s nice that the hotel also has a small pool and the price was good too.

By far, the worst part is the street noise. You can hear quite a bit through the window and we sat at the 3rd floor. The good part is that the loud music from the bar below and the street chatter die out at around 21:30-22:00 (but we stayed during weekdays, idk about weekends). Other than that, the shower could have a bit more pressure, but that is nitpicking.

It's an old building that has been refurbished. High ceilings, tall windows, old tile floor with a big, bathroom.very classic Mexican, everything done good enough but not quite right. Personally ,as an old traveller in Mexico, I enjoy it. Note: I booked a promotion 50% off. Had I payed full price I wouldn't have been happy. The location is right in the center so it can be noisy.

Be sure to tell the taxi Hotel LA Nacional. There is another Hotel Nacional. Easy to get it wrong.

I really liked the location and the comfortable bed, this is a nice hotel in the heart of the downtown, the rooms also had been remodeled and have new furniture, new ACs and the staff is really nice.

They don't have a restaurant but there are a lot of places you can eat nearby, also some floor tiles were loose in our room a little maintenance in the floor will solve that.

Pool is really cool! Inside an old silo or something! We had really cool rooms on the second floor facing the cathedral. It was noisy, but it was really special to be right in the middle of the energy in Merida during the January festival.

It was pretty noisy in our room facing the street, but I actually kind of enjoyed that. Our sink drain didn’t drain the best and there was no safe, but minor issues for a great stay otherwise!

loved the pool and the location. if we got too hot we could pop in the hotel and cool down! right in the middle of everything so we were able to walk a lot and see a lot of the town. the concierge was also amazing and was able to help us get taxis and guides for day trips!

The location was as central as it gets with tons of food and shopping options around. Staff were helpful at check-in and took us to a secure parking spot where we kept our car without issue (you need to put a MXN$200 deposit for parking). The facilities were nice and clean and housekeeping came around daily. Very well priced compared to other properties in the area.

Inner coutyard outside our room was very noisy due to other guests so it was hard to sleep past 8am. Bathroom sink was tiny and amenities were just the bare minimum. Beds were small and a bit uncomfortable for 2 people to share.
