The breakfast in the courtyard restaurant was excellent in terms of both food and ambiance, and the rooftop restaurant at sunset was a great place for an evening drink. The location right on the main plaza was fantastic, and it was nice to be able to go outside in the evening and walk around to watch the Mayan dancers and try a marquesita in front of the beautifully-illuminated church. Our entire family enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location, right downtown close to everything. Five minutes to the ADO bus and many taxis are always available. The breakfast included with our stay was excellent. A real sit down served meal with many choices from their breakfast menu. Delicious dinner options too. Prices are pretty fair! Service is excellent, Friendly and very professional. We spoke some Spanish and the staff were fairly bilingual. The pool was an added bonus as Valladolid is HOT!! The rooms were clean and comfortable with a/c and ceiling fans. The hotel also have a selection of personal tours. Excellent prices and who doesn't like a personal driver for the day! I totally recommend staying here. I will definitely be back.

Perfect location. The second\restaurant entrance is on the main square and 8 min walking from the Ado bus stop. The staff very helpful told me about the free walking tour where I made friends and travel with them afterward. The breakfast is good with different a la carte options. The pool is nice and big with plenty of lounge chairs. My room was on the second floor with pool view so was very quiet.

The hotel is outdated, need lots of fixing like the bathroom floor and bathtub, the door and noisy fan. No space to hang stuff. Small closet. Rooftop bar that you see in the hotel picture can only be access if you book the rooftop restaurant. If you are a solo traveler trying to have a bit of social interaction, this is not the place.

The staff was very attentive, we could often see personell taking care of the property which gave a very clean impression with much attention to detail. The second day our room key didn't work because of low battery and they had a maintenance man on it within minutes - very fast and friendly service! Both the rooftop bar and the patio restaurant were excellent. Great views from the rooftop, great food and presentation, and atmosphere was stellar! The location is completely central and included parking. Despite the central location the general atmosphere was peaceful, inviting, relaxing. There is nothing this hotel can't offer - we were sad to leave!!

The pool is generally in a shady place, sunbathers may want to take that into consideration.

Hotel Meson de Marques is in the perfect location! Valladolid turned out to be one of our favourite places on this trip and the hotel is right on the main square. The hotel staff were very accommodating whenever we had questions, and were happy to store our luggage before we checked in and after we checked out so we could spend more time Valladolid. The room was very comfortable and it was so nice to have breakfast included. I am vegetarian and my boyfriend is gluten intolerant. The staff in the restaurant were all very helpful and spoke English very well. We were so appreciative or their service. The hotel was fantastic value for money and we would definitely recommend both staying here, and visiting their restaurant.

The shower wasn’t great, but otherwise we were very pleased.

We were simply looking for a place to stay as a stop along our road trip and booked this hotel because of its central location and good price. We didn’t expect too much from it but our expectations were blown away. This is a gorgeous hotel in the best location you could get in this city. The staff were delightful and the facilities were excellent. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the facilities were great. We were sad we didn’t get to spend much time there and use the pool area and other facilities as it all looked fantastic. The hotel backs directly onto the main square where you can walk around and enjoy the city from a central location. The breakfast was nice but the restaurant itself is stunning. I definitely recommend this place for anyone simply stopping for the night or here for an extended period of time as well

We didn’t love the combined shower/bath in the room and the air conditioner was a bit loud while trying to sleep

Beautiful elegant building and rooms, great location on the main square. Nice pool and poolside area. Friendly and very professional staff. Good breakfast (not buffet though) served at the table in a beautiful patio setting.

Our room was on the ground floor and a bit dark as our only window overlooked a wall. Also, there were construction works going on (only during the day), so sitting by the pool was not very relaxing, it would have been nice to know upfront.

Despite that we experienced a very unpleasant sleepless night due to drilling outside from 2am till 4am, I’d give this hotel a high rating. The staff and the owner himself have done everything to help us. They were kind and have allocated us to a better room with proper double glazed windows. I noticed that all staff was really well trained in customer service - this is a massive achievement of the owner - to reach this quality customer service in Mexico, you don’t get it ofter here. Big respect and well done to the owner.

I’d say that restaurant staff needs more training and improvement in customer service. They charge top rates, but are a bit impolite. Hotel staff work more smoothly and create better relationships with clients.

Hotel Meson del Marques was in a great location very close to the center of Valladolid. It was set up with rooms around the central pool and parking, which made it feel very safe and private. The restaurant was very good, and the complimentary breakfast included in our stay was incredible. The room was fairly standard. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and welcoming, including in the restaurant.

The room itself was fairly standard, although the toilet didn’t always flush on the first try.

Stunning building, wonderful staff and amazing breakfast! The location was perfect and easy to get to with our car, so glad there was parking on site. Lots of restaurants to choose from just walking distance from the hotel. 10/10 would recommend. Cenote Azul is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel, a must visit. The room was spacious and beautiful and we felt very spoiled during our stay. I can't wait to come back!

There was construction during our stay by the pool, and some noisy renovations during the day by our room.
