Our 4 nights spent in Chefchaouen, and in Casa Sabila were absolutely magical. We stayed in Sofia room which I felt was the best room in the whole of Chefchaouen! Comfortable, beautifully decorated and with views right on to the busy street below (secret window!) We were lucky enough to be there during Eid Al-Adha so Chaouen was full of Moroccan tourists enjoying the holiday.  Casa Sabila is located just on the Eastern edge of the Old Medina on the way to Ras el Maa small waterfall and then onwards to the Spanish Mosque where everyone goes to watch the sunset, it is the main thoroughfare in the evening and very lively! Sabila means fountain and everyone stops at the fountain on the steps right outside the front door. In fact every time we left, someone was taking a photograph of Casa Sabila as it is so beautiful. We also had the orange juice man right under our window. Casa Sabila is an oasis of cool and calm. Wonderful breakfast (flexible timings) on the terrace facing the mountains and the Spanish Mosque. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Mint tea is available for free on request at any time. We're very grateful to Hamza for arranging our taxi to and from Tangier and to Mohammed for helping us to carry our bags to the Plaza! He also put us in contact with Adel, a local guide who we went to Akchour Waterfalls with which is a 45 minute drive and then mountains, waterfalls, cool mountain pools to discover. Not only did he guide us confidently and safely through the sometimes complicated terrain, we learned so much from him about local culture and he really went out of his way to make our time wonderful and memorable. Shukran 🙏

Absolutely nothing!

I had never written a review before, but I feel compelled to after my stay at this hotel, as the staff truly went above and beyond. Upon arrival, I unfortunately fell ill, but the hotel staff took such incredible care of me. They helped cool my head, hands, and feet, brought me drinks, and checked on me every few hours to make sure I was okay. I have never experienced such attentive and compassionate care at any hotel before. It really meant the world to me. The hotel is not only exceptional for its people but also for its amenities. Breakfast was served on the upper balcony with a stunning view, which made the experience even more enjoyable. While many hotels typically offer breakfast only in lower areas for convenience, here they brought it up, which was a fantastic touch. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which I personally loved. Thank you for an amazing stay! I will definitely be back.

We stayed for one night in Chefchaouen and had a pleasant experience. A quick tip: I recommend traveling here with just a backpack, as reaching most hotels, including this one, can be quite challenging with heavy luggage. Even though it’s only a 5 to 7-minute walk, the street is steep and full of stairs. You can always ask for help (for a small fee), or if you have a private driver, they can assist or find someone to help you with your bags. The room itself was cozy and small, so again, big luggage isn’t ideal. Breakfast was nice and served on the terrace right in front of our room, offering a lovely view of the mountains. However, I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the breakfast options. Overall, I recommend this stay. It’s cozy and offers good value for money, especially if you’re looking for a charming experience in Chefchaouen!

This hotel was perfect! Very clean, beautiful views, easy to locate, very friendly staff & the hotel also supplied a great breakfast on the rooftop with views of the mountains & town! Rooms were equipped with toiletries as well. Special mention of the staff - Adir & Hamza were very helpful & friendly, they gave us restaurant recommendations, sent help for us from the parking to the hotel & our group even watched a FIFA World Cup game together near the hotel lobby area!

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The only thing to call out is that this is a short walk from the parking area to the hotel (as is true for most hotels in Chefchouen) so we asked for help from the hotel & tipped a person to help carry our suitcases up. No big concern - just something to have in mind for future guests!

Cosy little place at the end of the Medina (which is perfect if you want to avoid too much noise). Location was good, also easy to get to from the parking area (Parador). Breakfast was good (different variants of bread, egg, yoghurt and juice). Staff were all very friendly. We had a very nice chat with Whalid (incredible English skills and very nice), and he stoked the fire for us in the common room as it really was rather chilly and wet at the beginning of November.

Room and bathroom were a bit small. We were able to unload 2 suitcases but it was cramped. Bathroom really was a tight squeeze but we managed. The terrace is also slightly smaller than I anticipated but still nice to have breakfast.

Sweet guesthouse with clean and well-equipped rooms - the beds and pillows were wonderful. We stayed in January and very appreciated the extra think blankets and heater in the room. We loved everything about Casa Sabila from the kind staff who went out of their way to help us with our questions to the lovingly prepared breakfast which we thought was the best out of the 10 days of travel in Morocco. The location is great - on the way to the Spanish Mosque and still close to the main square. We only stayed one night but would love to return to stay longer next time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Sabila and was thoroughly impressed with both the property and the exceptional service provided by the manager, Walid. From the moment I arrived, Walid was attentive, answering all of my questions with patience and ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable. He clearly takes great care in maintaining the property, as all facilities, including hot water, were consistently available and in perfect working order. His commitment to guests and attention to detail truly make Casa Sabila a standout. I would highly recommend staying here and feel confident that with Walid’s excellent management, the hotel is in great hands.

Very unique & authentic with still having a modern edge. In an excellent location & the staff & mgt could not have been better! Extremely kind & accommodating - helped with Morocco phone service/doing laundry on site and even booking a local massage! 👍🏽

Nothing that they had any control over… because of the proximity of the property (The Old town/Medina being built to the side of the mountain) Parking had to be done for offsite and then walk in with bags, etc.- they were kind enough to assist with the bags back to the car & after a few days you start to feel like a Billygoat! 🐐

Great location, it was an easy 4 minute walk from the parking and taxi area. Staff were wonderful and made me feel right at home. I stayed in the triple room and it was absolutely adorable and quintessential Morocco. I had a view from many windows to the sidewalk below and it was very lovely. Not too noisy at night but you could hear activity- it didn’t bother me at all though. Breakfast was good- nothing spectacular but I was very grateful to have that option before starting my day. It’s a small place, I think only 5 rooms and everyone seemed to have breakfast on the upstairs terrace.

The only one thing, and it’s not necessarily negative was that I wish I would have brought my shower shoes because the shower floor has a lot of old grout. That’s just my weird thing and maybe it might help someone else.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel nestled in the heart of the old city, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel’s cleanliness and its cute, inviting atmosphere. The location was absolutely perfect, allowing me easy access to explore the beautiful surroundings of the old city. What really set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were not just friendly; they were genuinely polite and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Knowing I had to depart early in the morning before breakfast hours, they kindly provided me with fresh orange juice and a packed breakfast to go, a thoughtful gesture that truly made my day. Additionally, the morning employee offered to carry my suitcase to the main square, further exemplifying their dedication to guest satisfaction.

The hotel’s location is perfect, right in the middle of all the vibrant life of the tourist area, which, while understandably noisy until midnight,.
