My sister and I had the most wonderful stay at this Riad in Fez—it truly felt like a home away from home. Miriam and Abdul were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble; whatever we needed, they made it happen. By the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. The location is perfect, just a 3-5 minute walk from the iconic Blue Gate, making it so convenient to explore the Medina. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a highlight—such a beautiful setting to start the day. On two mornings when we had early starts, they even prepared takeaway breakfasts for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re visiting Fez, do yourself a favor and stay here!

Two points: - the bed was quite hard/firm. - we had some issues with warm water in the shower although as soon as we told them they fixed it as soon as possible

Great location comfortable bed. Good breakfast.. hospitable and helpful staff. Maryam, Abdul and Mohammad did all they could to make our stay easy and comfortable.

The two single beds were put together, but mattresses were different level and tended to move. Luckily there was a mezzanine in room with another double bed that was more comfortable. Toilet could do with upgrade. Would have liked tea making facilities in room for a proper English tea which was hard to get anywhere. We used a hotel guide for tour of medina, but felt it could have been better. We passed by other guides who were giving more information to their group about various aspects. The day excursion to the atlas mountains through the hotel was overall ok. The time in Afrane could be described as merely a walk in the local park.

The Riad is located in a great spot in the medina right off one of the main venues and near taxi drop-offs. The place itself is stunning and very well kept, rooms were tidy and clean and the terrace gives you a great view over the city while enjoying your meals. The staff were super friendly and helpful to us, we were sick when we got there and they did everything they could do make our stay more pleasant (even offered to get medicine for us). The breakfast was delicious and definitely abundant, we didn't try dinner but I'm sure it would have met the same standards. We couldn't see Fez much but we certainly had a wonderful stay at Riad Farah, thanks you Mohammed and Maria!

The only complaint I have is the rooms are definitely not soundproof (it's an old building after all) so if you wanna sleep until late I recommend earplugs

It was well maintained and the staff were very very nice and helpful! We had an amazing dinner-probably the best during our entire stay. I was able to have some cloths washed, which was very appreciated. Shout out to Mehdi who is just the absolute sweetest! Thank you!

The only item of concern was a very sick little kitten whose home is on the rooftop. I realize there is a high population of cats in Fez and they are not prioritized like we do in Canada, but as a visitor it didn’t feel good to see a sick little baby. Mehdi was doing his best to address the kitten which I appreciate but I do believe it had a bad infection in its leg and was clearly suffering. Canadians love animals, so this was hard for me to witness.

Our stay at Riad Farah was nothing short of amazing! The personnel truly go above and beyond, offering a level of care and attentiveness that feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. From the moment we arrived, they were eager to share their knowledge of the medina, giving excellent recommendations on must-visit spots and practical advice, including how to navigate around less welcoming guides. The room was beautifully kept—super clean and cozy, offering a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous, with a variety of fresh, delicious options that set the perfect tone for the day. We also enjoyed dinner here, which was equally impressive. The terrace is a wonderful highlight, offering breathtaking views of the sunrise and a peaceful space to unwind. The Riad’s location in the medina is ideal, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and kiosks where you can easily find whatever you need. All in all, the team at Riad Farah ensured we had a wonderful experience, and we can’t recommend this place enough! We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at this lovely riad for just one night before heading out on a desert trip, and it was the perfect spot to start our journey. The riad was very nice, exceptionally clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Located right in the centre of the medina and very close to the famous Blue Gate, it’s ideally situated for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and because we had to leave very early, they thoughtfully prepared a take-away breakfast for us, which was such a kind gesture. The young guy at reception even offered to escort us to the Blue Gate, making sure we set off smoothly. Highly recommend this riad for anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming stay in the heart of the medina!

I really enjoyed my stay with the friendly people at Riad Farah. The support was wonderful from start to finish and made it much easier to find your way around the busy medina. I felt very welcome and would like to thank all the good people there for the pleasant stay. In addition to the welcome tea, I also enjoyed the delicious dinner of traditional Moroccan cuisine. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace with the wonderful panoramic view. The central location in the medina meant that after a few days you felt a bit part of this historic old town of Fez. Nevertheless, it is not far to the Blue Gate, where you can start the transfer to the airport, for example. If I were to visit Fez again, Riad Farah would again be my first choice. And maybe, dear Ahmad, I'll get the opportunity to learn how to properly prepare Moroccan tea.

There was literally nothing that could have made my stay any better.

Meryem and the entire team were so great, amazing stuff making you feel like the most welcome guest. I picked the Fes room, oh my the look of it!😍 you feel like in a fairytale... The riad is so beautiful, the food there is genuinely home-based, and everything is detail-oriented, loved every moment spent there. Meryem (Maria) helped us with organizing a guided tour around the medina the following day, and the history teacher we had was such a happy and enriching experience. I definitely recommend choosing this during your Fès stay, you won't regret anything. I would go there every single time, 10 out of 10!

Amazing 3 nights stay in the old Medina, location was very close to the Blue gate and the Medina and yet felt secluded and away from the noise. The girls who run the Riad are both very friendly and helpful and took great care of us, including packing us a breakfast when we had an early morning start for a day trip. The riad was nice, clean and comfortable and breakfast on the terrace was amazing too. Highly recommend!

Not specific to this riad, but the entrance to riad Farah and a few other riads and houses is a little dirty with too many stray cats, some rubbish and smell of cat urine.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Riad Farah and would consider it in my top 3 accommodations in Morocco (after my eight time in the country). The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, the food is amazing (highly recommended to have dinner in the riad, what a lovely night!) and the rooms are nicely decorated and tidy. It is conveniently located (very close to the Blue Gate) so it's easy to find and move around from there. We will definitely come back, thanks a lot for the hospitality.
